And that's how it's done. No autotune. Just 4 musicians. Queen were amazing. Watch Wembley 86 under pressure or one vision or Another one bites the dust. Freddie and Michael Jackson also did a collaboration called There must be more to life than this.

If you want a song that touches your soul, check out White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975. It's not as high tempo as this one, but as well as Freddie's always awesome vocals, it has a spine tingling instrumental.

They were always better live. Adam is good, took me a while to warm up to him, but he speaks highly of Freddie and says he could never fill his shoes. He doesn't try to be Freddie, he's just does Adam 😀 If you want a song that will play your soul...."White Queen Live at the Odeon" it's one of their younger performance. I promise you, you will not walk away without feeling something! Instrumental takes you on a journey.

Please don't believe everything in the movie. They took a lot of creative licence with the truth, and the timeline was all wrong. But it has bred a whole new legion of Queen fans and that is a wonderful thing. Their music should not be allowed to die. Remember in 1981 Autotune had not been invented, this is pure, raw talent. For something else that will touch your soul, watch White Queen live at the Odeon, Hammersmith 1975. It has the most incredible instrumental segment in it that will blow your mind, and Freddie's voice is so beautiful it might bring a tear to your eye. The song was written by Brian May about a girl he had a crush on but never had the courage to speak to.

To see the band's original heavy rock, Live at the Rainbow 1974 (Christmss Eve) they perform "Seven Seas of Rhye","Stone Cold Crazy", "Liar" and "In the Lap of the Gods, Revisited" . I think this early foundation is important as you watch their progression through the development of their music. Plus, it will blow you away!
I enjoyed your review guys, well done, and I subscribed. Keep in mind that the movie made a lot of changes to the facts for entertainment purposes. Freddie wasn't dignosed as HIV positive until 2 years after Live Aid, Roger had 2 solo albums out with his other band, "The Cross" and Brian had also put out solo work before Freddie did, so Freddie was not breaking up the band, and they had been on tour from Sept 1984 through May 1985, so had finished their tour of South America, Australia, Japan, etc. just 5 weeks before Live Aid. Perhaps you should also check out several of the UA-cam videos about what the movie got wrong, and what the movie left out, etc. Enjoy your Queen journey

"Product placement" - Nope, just happens to have a beer on the piano. Queen didn't have any kind of sponsorship for their tours and usually lost money due to the cost of their staging and lighting rigs. In one interview, I think it was Brian May, said the Magic Tour was the only time they made any money. And they gave a large lump of that profit to a children's charity.

Please don't think the movie was a documentary. Although very entertaining, not much was factual. Freddie had a close relationship with his parents and they went to many of his concerts. They were very proud of him. Brian May was voted best guitar player in Total Guitar magazine. Not at all underrated. Nice reaction.....another awesome live performance is White Queen at Hammersmith Odeon. Check it out!

The person on guitar is Dr. Brian May. He has a PHD in astrophysics. On a music scale, Freddie Mercury can do 4 octaves, live performance. He is one of the best. Dimash K can do 6.5 octaves live ( meaning not just in a studio) You should hear him doing SOS China talent contest. People say he is not human, voice is incredible. I say that performance because people look for first time reaction to that video more than any other. Chris you are to cute for words and what a smile...

Although I'm not aware of any live performance of the song, there is a song from the same album as Somebody To Love called White Man. The song starts out soft but it doesn't take long before becoming a real rocker! That, along with some really great lyrics make this song one of the most memorable on the album. This entire album is great and is part of my own personal vinyl collection. A must have album for all collectors of Queen. The album is called A Day At The Races (Electra Records, 1976). I hope you will give the song White Man a try to see how diverse Queen's music could really be.
By the way, Freddie Mercury is considered to be the most supreme and preeminent frontman of all time.

Thanks, guys - it warms my heart to see another generation appreciating this amazing band - and you both seem to get that it's not just Freddie - every member made huge contributions both live and in the studio - each one had a number one hit -- gotta admit that I've always been a huge fan of Brian May -- so glad he's still around and making music -- keep it up - I look forward to more -- oh, if you want to cry (and who doesn't?) - please watch Brian's tribute to Freddie - includes Roger and John -- and was the last time John played with the others... he was "done" when Freddie was gone... ua-cam.com/video/oLKyaOLb2Fs/v-deo.html

Great reaction, guys! Yes, Queen were often better live then in the studio. I don't think Rami Malik looked like Freddie, this is the one case where the real life person was better looking then the movie star. Brian May is a highly regarded guitarist he is usually in the top 10 lists of best guitarist. Another great performance from Queen that you guys have to check out is Who Wants To Live Forever live at Wembley 1986 Friday night ua-cam.com/video/MOhuK7aZayw/v-deo.html.

I blow your mind video by Queen is to watch 1986 live at Wembley Now I'm here!! It shows every single member of the band and it is one hell of a show!!!!
Queen is a diplomatic group and their Democratic and each person had their own 25% share in the band so there was no member in that band that was in any hierarchy than the other.. up until the last couple of albums whoever wrote the song would make more money off of the royalties if the song was a head but aside from that they all made about the same but they were each equal members of the band.

My favorite live performance of all time ❤❤❤
I love the movie, but please don't see it as a documentary. Not everything in there were correct.
Adam Lambert is actually amazibg. He's no Freddie of course but he's not trying to be, he's doing his own thibg and he does a fantastic jov singing their songs. He's not seeing himself as a replacement. He's a big fan of Freddie too and I think ut's great that he does it so Brian and Roger can continue to do what they love. Give him a chance 👍🏻

For me when Freddie died so did Queen and also John Deacon left shortly after Freddie passed as he couldn't face carrying on without him . It upsets and angers me that May and Taylor continue to use other singers to ruin Freddie's legacy its shameful and just shows they do not respect Freddie's memory more than their own bank balance .
