- First episode of our wedding cake giveaway competition! We gave 4 Melbourne couples the chance to win a free wedding cake for their special day.
The catch? They don’t know or see the design, or what their cake will look like until they see it on the day!
This is our forst couple, Jaide and Reece, whose wedding was 11th Feb 2023!
Whole process, start to finish! From planning the cake to decorating and cake delivery.

It was really fun but yes a bit scary! Haha just had to trust myself and hope the couple would love my vision!

Gorgeous cake!! I kinda wish you'd maybe airbrushed (can you airbrush with edible dye?) under the faultline icing with a bit of black just to really get it to stand out from the rest of the icing - the gold outline did the trick but I think the with black shadow too it would have been even more impactful

Summertime in February is my DREAM!!! My bday is Feb 21 & it’s usually cold & rainy!! 😫 I would LOVE to have a summer bday, guess I should just move to AUS!!
Australia in shoulder seasons (spring in September etc) is warm. February is incredibly hot in some places - over 40°c (100°f)

So amazing! Transporting a wedding cake is so scary! I made my nephews cake which had a very delicate castle on top. I transported with the castle boxed up in the front seat where I could keep an eye on it. All was fine until another car cut me up and I had to slam my brakes on 🫣😭😭😭

Beautiful job! Quick question - do you do anything with the grass-like preserved floral elements before adding it to the cake to prevent any shedding?
We seal the stems. Being a fondant cake, any shedding can just be brushed off easily but we didn’t seem to have issues anyway

I've heard Sorrento and thought you were coming to Italy.
Love it! But I wanted the two torn layers of fondant at the bottom to be black.
Black is very polarising. It also produces “black holes” in the design, where the eye would just be drawn there.
I’m so happy with how it turned out! I wouldn’t have added more black to this. We wanted to keep it understated but still bring the wow!
