    "I grind until I get bored..." Not gonna lie, I would get bored way sooner than this guy.

    Very enjoyable to watch and learn. Great explanations. It doesn’t hurt that you’re lovely to look at, either.

    Such a short video, but you can tell how much patience and effort is required, but final result is FAN-TAS-TIC and looks very stylish!!! Great idea and golden hands, looking forward to see more of your creations!

    you can even hide magnets under the cardboard , and make the other half of the skull like a lid. or have magnes at the bottom of the skull so it sticks to metalic surfaces

      It took me 20 hours. It is 2.5 work days. You can always leave it for a while and then come back to it 🙂 Before I started to make these cardboard objects. I didn`t like to do work which took me more then 4 hours. But now I can 🙂

    This is amazing! Your such a handsome and talented Viking dude...I am not trying to be fresh or generalize but it seems like everyone has movie star good looks in your part of the world I guess the Vikings got all the beautiful women sailing around the world in the past...so you have the Viking Beauty Genes...LOL! If I drill holes for drainage and seal it with concrete...could I use this as a planter? can this be scaled up to a larger size? It would be cool to make a huge planter? I will buy the pattern you have on etsy and take it to the printer store and have them print it a hundred percent bigger...will that work?

      If you put a concrete on it then it should work otherwise water will destroy cardboard. But of course you can use any other material foam or anything else as far as it fits necessary thickness. I think You should print one slice somewhere from middle. To understand how much times you want to scale it. If you scale it 100% it means 2 times then you should use 2mm thick material. You always can print and make every second slice you will lose a bit of details but you will be able to use thicker material.
      And thank You about Viking thing :)

    If I may ask what kind of cardboard do you use for these projects like the other skull projects?

    • @3dgarsdesign
      @3dgarsdesign  Рік тому

      If I understand correctly then I use greyboard or grey cardboard.

      I translated your comment in google translate of course it is not very precise but I will try to answer. For my first 3 videos I have patterns in the etsy shop links are in the description. But they all are made the same way. I make a 3d model on my PC then slice it in 1mm slices. Print them on the paper, cut them out and then glue it all together. About music it is from audio Jungle. Here is the link audiojungle.net/item/industrial-fear/2935575. y gracias por tu comentario🙂

    This project would probably work well with a laser cutter.

    these turn out really nice. though it seems like it would make more sense to just put the filler putty on to it and not bother with the first round of sanding.

      Yes I understand your point. But then the scale of the skull will be wrong. I know noone will notice but I will know and it is no good :D

      @3dgarsdesign  2 роки тому

      You can find my patterns here www.etsy.com/shop/3dGarsDesignShop. But if you want to make you own then you should make. 3d model at any 3d software. Then slice them in thickness you material will be. and then print them out :)

    Consider wearing gloves when applying putty. It is terrible for you.
