🇬🇧I repeat my comment on another post on here- both UK and USA governments, schools and colleges need to watch ALL of this conference to allow open, true and free discussion to educate and re-educate everyone! We need to reduce younger generations being soaked in this ‘fragile ideology’ as it makes for fragile people. Thank you all. 🇬🇧

As a recovering alcoholic, heroin addict and bullimic,I shudder to think what could of happened to me back in the late 90s early 2,000s. I had body dysmorphia so bad I was throwing up and binging all day every day , and was 6stone. I went to an eating disorders clinic and then came 2 decades of dangerous drinking with heroin entering my life in my 40s after meeting my partner (who subsequently died) in rehabilitation. I’m clean and sober now (7years) but cringe when I think how close I came to being pushed into this ideology. When your sleeping rough on the street and begging for change;all your pals are liberal leftists & I didn’t associate with many conservatives in those days! I am raising 3children now and already am aghast at the level of sexual content in the phse lessons at school. My son has already told me that they are being force fed that boys can change into girls with tablets/medicine. Please keep going with your work to highlight the TRUTH. Maybe someone out there could assist you with some marketing re-branding of your logo, as it’s not eye catching enough and looks too similar to loads of others out there….. This is NOT meant to cause offence;I just want you to reach a wider audience as you are important , significantly so as TrAnS IDEOLOGY should be banned in schools.

I would be careful in how Trans topics get banned in school. Any kind of thing that gets banned in an age where its readily easy to find out about this stuff even when kids become adults and can learn at anytime could lead to hostility and tensions which can turn children against their parents at anytime.

BRAVO Lisa Marchiano. WE ARE the adults in the room tasked with watching over our kids. They are kids.. non-formed pre-frontal cortex kids.

Any chance you could post a link to the speakers entire intended remarks? Or a published work where she expands on these themes? My ROGD trans-male-identified daughter (almost 16 and we felt forced for the last year and a half to go along with her social transition bc she was recovering from anorexia and bc we didn't know better, but she has insisted on being treated as cis-male--not trans-- and wants medicalization to become "a stealth cisman". I think her grasp on reality and being real is becoming weaker. But I am so scared to insist on reality because she seems to hate her real self so much, and has for many many years of poor social integration/ -acceptance, and maybe reality is too unbearable for her. The speaker's reality quotes really hit me. I wish the residential eating-disorder staff hadn't been so insistent on affirming her male identity or that we had found a more skeptical psychiatrist for after the residential facility.
I wish I could take my daughter, and our whole family to a therapist like Stella or Sasha or Lisa Marchiano, or hang out with Jamie Reed or Jamie's colleague Ken.

There's no such word 'ovarectomy.' Removal of ovaries is oopherectomy.

This premise that gender affirming treatment will fix all your problems is simply false. Anyone who decides to medically transition should know this as much as there is not a single thing in this life that will solve all your problems. As a person of transgender experience it would be foolish of me to believe such a thing. I have spent decades trying as hard as I can not to be trans and in the end it nearly destroyed me. When I decided to transition, even before I started hormones, it was one of the most liberating and wonderful experiences of my life and still continues to this day. Make no mistake I never once thought that transitioning would solve all my problems. I have zero regrets and yes life is still full of problems and challenges like it is for everyone. I don't even have to think about it.

Are you MTF trans pre-Gen Z? If so, your story could be different and have different issues than Gen Z, especially teen girls seeking to change genders. Your experience shouldn’t be extrapolated to the current batch. Some of the studies are based upon MTF from previous generations. One- size-fits-all approach doesn’t work. The treatment should vary based upon the root of the problem. If it’s AGP, if it’s narcissistic personality d/o, if it’s homophobia or whatever the underlying reason/s, wouldn’t it be best to treat the issue differently for each case? Are you impressed with the studies used to justify the current model?
