You've come so far from cooking at 10 years old to now. I remember you would make bhaigan choka and roti for your dad when I would work late and he would wait to show me the different shapes of the roti. I think you took a lot of your cooking skills from your grandfather...he was a great cook!
Wow... I just tried this at home and it is awesome! I served it as a main course with saffron rice. The late addition of freshly roasted jeera is key, and it gives the dish an amazing aroma. I love the aromas, flavours and textures of this spicy, exotic dish.
Very clear informative video I appreciated your attention to detail with regards to seasoning. Thanks for the story you shared about your nana I will honor his memory by following your recepie.
Awesome curry !! Will try with your instruction. Love and respect to all of you with Indian roots staying miles away from India, you guys keep our flags and glory keep shining and fly high. Tons of Love from Kolkata, India.
That she is! I have to try this soon. I love the bhunjay sauce that clings to the meat. I'm a jeera nut, so this is going to be a keeper for me. Grandfather must be very proud, as I know all your family are! I'm counting the hours until I touch down in PoS! I'm working hard on my yard this weekend and next, making it BBQ Central to make the best of the limited sunshine we get in North Wales.
Pete Thomas Thank you, he is. He watches every single video, he knows how to boost my confidence. Sounds good! You have a packed schedule when you reach in Trinidad! Enjoy the sunshine!

Have you ever tried adding the geera from on top. You season the pork and chunkay, about 15 mins before it's finished you add the roasted geera from on top.
Well I finally get to know how to make geera pork although I don't eat pork or beef but why not doing it with lamb or goat even chicken ? Thank you Natesha

Taste of Trini I've made it ! 😁 I ended up putting a little bit of curry because of mom 😂 sigh, but it tastes great 😍 I'm serving it with dumpling and also plain rice 🙈🙈
Yes you can. If you don't mind the seeds in the food then leave it whole. My suggestion to you is to put it in a ziploc bag and use a bottle or something to pound it to get it to a fine powder.

What part of the pork is recommended??
Meant Ya did not use oil when frying the Geera and curry right?
If my food processor is out, can i cook the cumin seeds just like that? Meaning with the onions and roasted geera and hot pepper?
Yes you can. If you don't mind the seeds in the food then leave it whole. My suggestion to you is to put it in a ziploc bag and use a bottle or something to pound it to get it to a fine powder.
@@TasteofTrini thanks for your tips! I want to try it this evening. Will let you know the results!
