Cool guitar Dan!! Just some observations from spending way to much time on UA-cam, people get very bold, and brave when they are behind a keyboard and look for ways to try and show up the host. You definitely have the guitar player / musician credentials, and instead of someone trying to act all knowledgeable and put the host down, they should ask honest questions as to why one would do things the way they do it in order to get a better understanding. You should just block the numskulls from your channel like Uncle Larry does. Everyone with a growing, productive, active channel states the biggest thing to overcome is all of the negative nellies that post comments. Evidently it just comes with the UA-cam territory. I really enjoy your channel and content, and yes I find it inspiring. I have learned a lot from you about how to use a looper and appreciate it. Have a great week!!!! Sorry about the long winded commentary.🤠

Brother Mojo, thank you for the kind words and taking the time to write them. In the past...those "numskulls" have been blocked as they will alway be in the future.
The "Nature of Knowledge" is best shared and absorbed through a "nuturing" manner especially from those with "experience"...which I extremely to have been giving by so many with that "beautiful attitude & delivery".
It is my hope that these internet interactions are "valuable" to the final destination of "Inspiring" anyone who decides to spend even just a few moments with me here on this channel...and I am truly grateful for those like yourself (who has been here since the very beginning) that provide a positive "interaction" thru your communications.
My prayers to you, your family and friends...and thank you my Brother Mojo;)
      Sincerely I am...Dan;)

Great looking and sounding guitar there brother!
Speaking of inspiration, you’ve been my inspiration for a while now. Watching you glide over the finger board in the way you do is a treat to watch. And I love your tone. Your experience for me is priceless . And your information coming from someone who has played countless session work, played and sat with some of the greatest musicians and producers and continue to help so many along the way including this ole dude. You have quite the track record my friend. And you continue to do that on this channel.
And when it comes to playing through vintage amps in the studio and live situations you are the real deal source of info.
I am proud to be associated with such a great musician and incredible human being. Cheers my friend.

My Brother Darren...such kind words that I sincerely appreciate from my talented musical Brother & I am grateful.
Spending time with both you and your beautiful gal via "technology" is truly a "precious gift" that would never have been experienced if not for the "blessing" of technology reaching places I might not have ever gone to personally...but now I do because of "this";)
Sharing time & experiences with my fellow musician such as yourself...a gentelman that has been pursuing this for the greater part of life...and still "feels" as if it has "just begun"...is exactly "how" I feel after all these years and blessings of experiences.
There is so much to "Learn & Share" among those that desire to "Learn & Share"...but it becoming a much rarer commodity to find those with a "Depth of Experience" based upon years & years...thousands upon thousands of hours...that equate to "most" of a lifetime of that individual...and that "type" of experience is extremely valuable to me.
I am sincerely grateful to you & your beautiful gal for spending the time with me that you do in addition to "sharing" your talents on a channel that is providing a source of "True & Pure" music that has a tremendous "history" in both styles & genres...with your delivery & technique being "inspirational" to those who are both "Watching & Listening" as I do.
Let's keep on pickin' & sharing my Brother...we've got a whole bunch of "sounds" to go thru with the Boss IR-200/Tonemaster FR-12 combo...and I am excited to "hear" what you are going to come up with;)
My prayers to you both, your family and friends...Sincerely I am...Dan;)

When you pick with the pick and your fingers at the same time, are you using the middle, index and pinky? Or less than all of them? I've never been able to get the hang of that and I'm a Danny Gatton fan from way back.

Brother John...thank you for the question. I do not use the pinky but very rarely while the other fingers do all the "requested without thought" pickin'...as I have been doing this for quite some time and don't "think" about it like I did when I first began learning to play like this.
If you use a "pick" as I do, I would begin by playing two strings at a time...based around a chord...such as the "A" chord...and "finding the feel" of playing any 2 strings at the same time...and then "alternate" to a "Pick 1st...Finger 2nd" feel...then back and forth from the "2 at a time to the 2 alternating" pattern as to "get use to the feel".
Be sure to change what strings you are playing...both at the same time and during the "alternating" pattern...as an "A" chord at the 2nd fret is a great chord to begin learning this "use of fingers" process.
Once you begin to get a "feel" for 2 strings being played...add the 3rd finger...more than likely you began with the "middle" finger for the "2 string version"...and therefore adding the "ring finger" when attempting to play 3 strings at a time...or in an alternating pattern.
Masters such as Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan, Albert Lee...all played with a "pick" being held between the thumb and index finger...which is how I play. Pickers like Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Brent Mason...all "thumbpick-based" pickers...which does open up the "Index" finger for an option...but for me...I prefer the using a regular guitar pick.
I hope this helps...and my prayers to you, your family and friends.
      Sincerely I am...Dan;)
