      Thank you Brother Ricky;)
I had the pleasure of knowing the songwriter Bill Anderson who also performed it in addition to 2 artists that recorded it...Charlie Louvin & Jack Greene...all 3 of whom I worked with in many productions...recording & video...over my years at the Grand Ole Opry & Ernest Tubb Record Shop.
It is one of my ALL-TIME favorite songs and thank you again for listening;)
My prayers to you, your family and friends...
      Sincerely I am...Dan;)

Absolutely beautiful Brother Dan. That's about as country as it gets. Perfect bends for an old country classic. My favorite cover... until now was Jack Greene's version. You have blown it out of the water. Thanks for doing it your way.

      My Brother Rodney...thank you;)
And...I had forgotten about Jack's version...and he is one of my FAVORITES of ALL-TIME...hadn't "thought" about him in awhile.
He recorded a version of "Another Bridge To Burn"...also recorded by Little Jimmy Dickens...and that song it ANOTHER ONE of my ALL-TIME favorites.
As a matter of fact...one of my many precious "musical memories" is singing that song with the Drifting Cowboys in Berlin, Germany at the "Alabama Saloon" while on a European Tour in 1995...making us one of the very first "Westerners" to perform in Berlin after the "Wall" came tumbling down that had separated "East from West".
Thank you for mentioning Jack Greene..."The Green Giant"...who I had the pleasure of knowing for many years and both performed and worked with on many occassions thru those years;)
My prayers to you, your beautiful bride and your family and friends...
      Sincerely I am...Dan;)

These old true "Country Songs" are such a major part of my "musical fabric"...I simply love playing them and you don't "hear" this style very often anymore.

Dan my brother! your looping abilities are great and you make it look so easy. Great vocals!
And…The guitar playing is well …fantastic. So tasteful and precise. Man! You make that look a lot easier than it is too. No wonder you are called on for so many sessions. Just beautiful my friend.

These are very kind words my Brother Darren & I am grateful for them;)
These "classic country songs" are the "best way" to "learn how" to loop as their chord structure & melodies are "extremely defined" & imprinted in my mind as a performer.
There are so many beautiful classic "ballads" to pick from..."Your Cheatin' Heart", "Long Black Veil", "Together Again", "Sing Me Back Home" and many, many more...with each of these "tempos" allowing "time & space" with "familiarity" to the melody that you will perform to after creating the "loop" to the song.
These are some of my absolute "favorite" loops to create...but for "Live" purposes...the "most infrequent" I create as there are only so many "Ballads in Paradise" folks want to hear...especially when the lyrics are so "real"...true "Country-Style" songs;)
Our love and prayers to you both...let's catch up soon;) Sincerely I am...Dan;)

What an impressive performance Dan, very impressive. I'm not too familiar with much country but that sure is some sweet music you played. I grew up in the northeast and country wasn't really popular (at least where I was exposed to music) but my mom did introduce me to Willie Nelson, John Denver, but she was always a big fan of Neil Diamond and The Beatles, I ended getting into my own kind of stuff as a kid, once I got older, I (slowly) find myself listening to more things, always older stuff. My wife knows more of these songs songs than I do so we've introduced each other to different stuff we like. I bet she'll enjoy this. You have good old fashioned God given talent, thanks for sharing your knowledge, God bless you and your family!

Thank you for listening and the very kind words my "Looping Brother";)
These older Country songs are very "enjoyable and educational" to learn and perform as most of them are based around very solid & musical melodies making the guitarist have to "stick" to the melody when performing them as "instrumentals".
So many legendary Country Classics such as "Your Cheatin' Heart" (Hank Williams, Sr.), "Long Black Veil" (Lefty Frizzell), "Walkin' After Midnight" (Patsy Cline) and countless more...ALL have CLASSIC & TIMELESS MELODIES...and when learned as an "Instrumental"...makes for "beautiful music" that has a "recognizable melody" to the ears of the listener.
In this case...one that I am both singing & soloing...the "melody" helps to "guide the parameters" of the "soloing"...allowing me to try and "add extras melodic movements" that may not be a part of the melody...but "close enough" to still make "melodic sense" as it relates to the actual melody of the song.
As guitar pickers...we "tend" to want to "add" so much more to a song which typically means "more notes". But the "Classic Country Songs"...and ANY CLASSIC MUSIC...there is a "Melody" to be found within...a familiar music line to possibly "add" your own "interpretation" to the musical effort as a guitar player...similar to "how" a Vocalist might sing someone else's "famous" song.
I don't want to "hear" exactness all the time from my hands...but I do want to "know" the exactness of the song...at least it gives me a very solid "reference to the melody" and therefore "helps" me to "recognize" the "extra" I might be trying to add...and whether it works or not.
And these Classic Country songs help to "provide" that solid "reference of melody";)
Let's keep pickin'...and my prayers to you, your beautiful bride and your family and friends...Sincerely I am...Dan;)

@@musicmandan1717 thanks for that Dan, and I tend to agree, any time I'm covering something, I never aim to copy exactly, and I never do it the same way twice not matter how often I've played it. Thanks again and God bless!

XXX Hard Core Country!!!! You nailed it brother, beautiful job, beautiful tone, and beautiful singing. I got tickled when you went into the solo and did the pedal tap dance. 🤣A lot going on, great performance!!😀👏👏 I do have a simple song request - Dwight Yoakam - I Sang Dixie.

This is TripleX Hard Core Country my Brother Mojo...I tried to "warn" everyone before I started the song;)
Thank you for the kind words;) "Looping" becomes a "Dance"...and now...99% of the time...I dance pretty good...but every once in awhile...I stumble...which makes for a very "interesting" loop "Live";)
Dwight is one of my favorites...would you like to see the song "Looped" or played on the acoustic? Your request...your call...and thank you for making it;)
My prayers to you, your family and friends...Sincerely I am...Dan;)
