Tempo sounds about half a beet too slow from the beginning and the vocals ain't hitting it for me. Guitar needs to be deeper too. 🤔 Look forward to listening to the rest of it
The new stuff is overproduced. Seems like samples and midi are thrown in for the sake of it, as an afterthought, rather than to fine tune and enhance the track, or help build it into something memorable. There's a definitive Static sound. Rythmic, syncopated, simple, catchy, repetitive, heavy, danceable. It's sad that the boys have missed the mark on so many of the new chunes. I can already tell I won't enjoy the new album, even though I want to. It's just lacking honest supervision and restraint, and sounds like a band who is trying to sound like Static-X. That's my 2c. Thanks for finding and uploading these previews. Hopefully there's at least a decent track or two like last time. 🙏🏻
thats a very harsh opinion i enjoy the shit out of Project Regeneration volume 1 Til this day and it definetly put a smile on my fave as it does a good job at paying tribute and homage to there older material and tho im not expecting Volume 2 to be better than Volume 1 but you get what im saying
@@MetalHeadJagger yeh not constructive enough I guess. They mentioned overcooking the samples during an old interview about Regen 1, and it stuck in my mind. They were just joking around, but I listen with that in mind and find it to be the case. Can no longer find that interview, but while looking for it, did find one where they are asked if it feels like Wayne's there with them while writing, and they say: All the time. 🥲 I don't mean to undermine that, I just don't let my overall love for the band gloss over the rough patches.
@@spiritlevelstudios There's an interview with Edsel Dope and Tony Campos where they went into a little more detail about finding the material and dealing with corrupted files pieced together to make volume 1 and it got taken down. Wonder if it's the same one.
@@SawBlood45 possibly, not sure. I think it was pre-Edsel acknowledgement. They have done extremely well considering the circumstances anyway. The new Zero mask is nuts too.
