TBH I prefer to rewatch old movies then see current ones. And Backdraft is one of them. Strong characters, good story, excellent action, superb cast and Hans Zimmer genius score. Brilliance.
Five years ago, a man's fantasy became reality in a form never seen before: Kitchen Stadium, a giant cooking arena. The motivation for spending his fortune to create Kitchen Stadium was to encounter new and original cuisines, which could be called true artistic creations. To realize his dream, he secretly started choosing the top chefs of various styles of cooking - and he named his men the Iron Chefs... the invincible men of culinary skill.

@@patrickharvey158 Are you kidding me right now??? Have you Not seen The Origrnel Iron Chef!?!? The music from the original Iron Chef show, including the iconic theme song, was actually borrowed from the Backdraft film, composed by Hans Zimmer. According to Wikipedia (a reliable source), the music was removed due to legal issues with NBC Universal. The new music is considerably less epic and greatly detracts from the Iron Chef experience. Is anyone as upset about this as I am?
I love this scene and the music. But after having watched it hundreds of times it always bothers me that the truck is going so slow (like they're going to get donuts and coffee) and there are no sirens in the background. I guess that's the editor in me making observations LOL
Well, the reason that they only have their lights and not their sirens on after they left the station is because there is no traffic, and if there is no traffic they can drive but still respond with their lights.
Some of the characters in this movie aren't in the credits, where is Otis? This movie has a lot of people where it never says their name. Who is Nightengale? They say his name once but never show him.
Don't get me wrong, I think the music is great, but does anyone else think this sounds like something the late James Horner would have written, or is it just me? In fact, it's interesting that Horner didn't do the music for this movie considering he did a few other Ron Howard films.

If you were someone that was saving children from child abuse, and they made a movie about it; it wouldn't have music like this or the same attitude (no it would be more like the soppy theme music from the movie Titanic). They would replace this warrior like mentality of those that help them, with one of psychotherapists and crying skinny people that depict victims as weak and inferior. And after me saving a child from abuse myself, people don't see you like a warrior as in this film; like the fire-fighters (that is seen like a noble warrior with a suite of shinning armour)... instead you are just seen as one of those emotional people like the psychotherapist often are seen. I have to say that this humiliating attitude towards me makes me f**cking sick! I don't want it, I am not a f**cking wimp, and I am not like these psychologists, and believe you me you have to be brave and strong to be able to stand to these abusive people if you wanna win in a conflict with them! Obviously these psychotherapists think that they can do better, who cannot fight thier way out of a paper-bag! I hate these psychotherapists, I absolutely hate them! They hate the way they think.

One of My favorite firefighter movies part of the reason I became a firefighter.
Greetings from another firefighter from México
Hi Mathew I saw your post thank you for all you do as a firefighter
All the memories of burned dead bodies yea great my uncle went crazy after he retired as chief of his watch from seeing the not so glamorous side of curvy females and hunky men in uniforms and sirens and flashing lights
I'm near sighted and have to wear glasses. Can I still join the fire department?

Best Ever Fire Fighter Movie 🎥!
料理の鉄人! 俳優もプロデューサーもまさかこの曲が極東の人気料理番組で使われるなんて夢にも思わなかったろうなあ。
Backdraft my favorite firefighter film!
Hans Zimmer can turn walking into a supermarket an epic event.
especially if you feel like you need a battle song to charge through the isles on a busy day!
I love this ending scene. The cinematography and the music. Epic.
One of the best movie endings i remember.
Love backdraft since I was a kid. When backdraft 2came out. I got the soundtrack cd. Love this song show me tour firetruck

Backdraft 2 was just Hollywood scripting. Not too much on actual firefighting, unlike this masterpiece.
