Hi Kit, by any chance have you heard about the Daylight Computer yet? I'm skeptical about the tradeoffs of the technology but it's quite intriguing, so I'm looking forward to the reviews.

I just watched the promotional video of the Daylight Computer CEO the other day and the speed of the new display technology looks amazing. If they can keep up the battery life of devices comparable to e-Ink devices, the EInk company will have an issue soon. A Supernote with Daylight screen with same battery life would be a no-brainer.
@@_ArtlineCreations_ I think they’re using an 8000 mah battery, which is quite nice, and cite days of use. I wonder about the SOC. maybe the next version could have a Qualcomm X elite:-). Would be amazing to see E Ink be available on this level. I saw a good video with the CEO explaining the tech. He’s an MIT grad and made the basis of their e ink vs the standard method.
@@_ArtlineCreations_ The major downsides are that the resolution is even lower than the reMarkable, and the display is not bistable. It won’t look nearly as crisp as a Supernote or Kindle Scribe. The CEO himself acknowledged that the display technology is not better than eInk yet if you’re only concerned with reading and writing; it’s all of the other potential use cases that take advantage of the high refresh rate that make it worth it.

As a drawing tablet, it might be interesting if the supernote atelier app included a blending tool where you could use your finger to blend your drawing, as you might do with charcoal. That would give it a real on paper type of experience. Just a thought.
Quick question if colour e-ink is not quite there yet. For reading books and writing journals is the supernote not the better option (compared to the Boox)? Although I’m not sure if the interoperability of my Mac device and the Supernote. I want to transfer files easily.
Yep, Supernote is better for journaling. It's not just about colour though for that reason, you can get Boox and Bigme black and white. But for reading, supernote lacks some important things like a front light and access to all android apps for libraries. Cheers.
Very interesting. I got my Supernote two days ago. So far I was blown away by the pencils in the Atelier app. My only disappointment is that I can’t see any way to smudge the shading a bit. The spray looks like a spray, and shading with the pencils is very “lined”
How does the battery life compare between the Bigme and the Boox? Are they similar?

Don't blame you! Think I'd be tempted by a colour reader to back that up. Probably one Boox device and one Supernote would be ideal, one big, one small, whichever way around suits you best.
Do you have any information around if the A5X2 having a better processor than the A5X?

I have the Boox X and I love it, but that's mainly because of the canvas size feature.
After watching your previous videos I ordered the Nomad. I have been waiting for 3 months+. I don't understand all the advertising for it when they cannot ship. I really like your in depth reviews, but I wish I had waited a few months before paying for the product they haven't shipped. I hope this company gets their act together.

A specific use case I'd like to see is tracing or onion-skin ability for the sake of story boarding and replicating key frames.
I also want to get use of an e-ink by practicing kanji tracing rather than using paper and pencil

Am returning the Bigme inknote X color.. in notes it loses touch on the right side of tablet to about an inch from top to bottom Arghhhh..... Its such a miss, and when you diagonally draw a straight line slow it flares like lightning sporadically, Such a bummer man!.... Bought from Good E reader so hopefully they will refund me, Wish me luck, Sad.
Hiya, I'm wondering if that's a faulty unit, as mine doesn't have that issue that I've found. The case causes lots of magnetic interference though.
@@KitBetts-Masters Yeah I took it out of the case and still the same, When I continue run the pen across the top and bottom on right side it makes a creaking sound like it's not pressed down flush, weird?!... Any how.....

Hello, I've got another few videos comparing these. But quick answers. It's plastic, the Inknote X. Boox software is better, but both have their bugs. Personally the Boox is ahead of the Bigme.
Just got in contact with Good E reader and this is what they said, Also I paid $1200.00+ for this Bigme Inknote X colour.....
Regrettably, we are unable to accept returns on open box items in accordance with our pre-purchase terms and conditions. However, if the item is factory sealed and unopened, with the strip of tape at the top of the box intact, we will gladly accept a return.
Even when I go to the bigme website they have no contact portal aswell... How convenient, so it looks like I have bought a Door stop at this point, Feels bad man and especially when I'm still paying it of.. Arghhhhhhhh
