I am German and wanted a Nativity Candle Carousel since leaving home in 82. They generally cost $300 and up, depending on size. With 3 small children at the time, this was nowhere in our budget. I went thrifting one day, not even around Christmas, and found a 4 story, original Carousel, still in the box, with all the pieces, for $25. I snatched it off the shelf, stopped shopping, and ran out of the store after paying. I literally cried. It is still my most prized Christmas treasure, and my daughters and sons in law love it. I since found some knock-offs for $100 at TJ Maxx and Amazon and purchased them for each of their families. But nothing beats the original. Don't give up. Keep thrifting. You may find your very own one day soon. ❤❤❤
Don't doubt yourself. You make a lot of apologies for what you've purchased (what was I thinking? I don't know!). You have a good eye for decorating and your family will always cherish the ambiance and memories you have created for them.
You decorate so intentionally. You are building traditions and memories. Your children will appreciate the love and care you put into your home. Thank you for the bell idea with cutting the cords and putting them on the tree. I had some that I couldn’t seem to find a place for and I put them on the tree and they look beautiful.
Dearest Kristen, you are SO beautiful in every way! Please do not doubt or second guess yourself! You have wonderful taste and an exquisite eye for beauty, and most importantly, you have a heart overflowing with love for Jesus! Your gifts are God given, and He doesn't make mistakes!! As the saying goes, you are blessed to be a blessing, and without doubt you bless everyone who knows you❣️❣️ Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family! ❤️💚❤️💚 Linda
Kristen, no more excuses. You are absolutely adorable, awesome and inspiring. You have great eye and I love your decor style. And if you don’t want all those bells , I’ll pay you for whatever you don’t want or need?!😂 But in all honesty, believe in you, cause we believe in you! If you need time for yourself, we will be right here waiting for your return to cheer you on to your next project! Remember your a blessing!🙏🏽🫶🏽🌟
Kristen, you bring the Christmas joy and much needed humor!! You have a special eye for some great treasures. I'm wishing you and your family the best holiday season, ever. Ivy will look adorable in the red sweater.❤
If you love it, buy it! That is all that matters. You have a great eye and your home is so warm and inviting, you’re obviously doing something right. FYI, the camera loves you, you are so beautiful! Merry Christmas to you and your family. ❤️
My favorite item was the train but mainly because you said it was going to be Ivy's big gift when it is filled with Beanie Babies. It says a lot about you as a mother and Ivy as a child and how she is being raised. The are so many parents who wrongly believe that spending tons of money for the latest and greatest fad gift is the way to go. You are not only very much in tune with you child but excited to make her happy while being financially responsible. I feel hope and happiness after seeing this. You are a very wise, thoughtful and Godly momma.
Love all those bells! I would have cut the cords too. I made some bells from plastic cups that came out pretty good and just used jute rope to attach them. That wooden train is everything. Ivy is going to love it!!!
Yes, loved the seasons greetings glasses. You always give me a giggle. So happy for you to be able to host family now in your charming home. Merry Christmas.😊🎄☃️🎁
I bought some trumpet/horns this year too at Goodwill :) I cut the rope off and just loop it over a hook on my peg rail. I love the wooden train that you found for Ivy. That was a great find!!!
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your videos. You sure know how to make me laugh. Love your ideas . You are so real and have a great sense of humor. Have a great day and see you in the next Christmas tour.
I have the same train. I quit using it because the littles never left it alone and the wheels would pop off from their play. I like the idea of filling it with toys for Christmas... May as well let them enjoy it rather than storing it for years! This season is for them anyway!
I have a gorgeous ceramic nativity set that my mom painted. The large stable was made by my uncle. Love family heirlooms, especially handmade are a treasure.
I had that revolving nativity scene. It was much larger. The heat from the candles makes the fan move and then the figures revolve. My son has it now in his Virginia home. I love the striped pillows too. You found some great things. The hat looks so cute on you
Kristen everything you purchase was awesome. My favorite I would have to say would be the wooden train. Would be really cool on a buffet table with goodies in it. But an excellent idea to fill it with beanie babies for your youngest child. That is awesome. I love everything. You could probably secure that horn the gold horn inside that berry wreath with maybe a bread tire or a zip tie and then hang it up somewhere. Loved all your ideas the best. The red ticking pillows. Awesome job. Have a lovely holiday and a happy New Year❤ Lorna
I started collecting beanie babies when my oldest was little. She's 38 now so we have a huge collection of Christmas ones. I passed them on to my grandchildren and they love decorating their house with them. Your girls will **love** that train filled with beanie babies! 🎄🐻
Awesome haul!!!! ❤ God Bless you. I love the wreath, pillows, bells, and train. I literally laughed out loud at the Christmas Vacation reference. That is my all time favorite movie. I quote it all the time. God bless & Happy Holidays lovely. ❤🫶🏼🙏🏽
I love all your cute Christmas finds! Good job! Your decor is wonderful and I appreciate how real (and cute) you are. I adore your videos! Your choose all the same things I do at Goodwill. I think my favorite find are the red ticking stripe pillows! Such a great deal. ❤ Can't wait to see how you use them all.
Love all your finds, especially the brass bells! Btw World Market had first opened in 1958 so your mug could be vintage, it certainly looks like it is to me. Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family ❤❤❤
I have one of those trumpets, too, and always struggle to know how to use it it. Looks great in the wreath! Thanks for the fun video. You look adorable in that hat! 🎄🎀🎄🎀🎄
Kristen leave the string on the horn and use a tie to secure the string down toward the base. Then you can hang it to use on a door or with the wreath would be adorable. You got somme great items... Love the candy cane pillows. Love what you found....can't wait to see the home tour
Kristen, I love that you got that big train for Ivy. She’s going to make some great ,empires with her beanie babies and dolls. And when she outgrows it, you can sit it by the tree and load it up with small gifts, real or faux. You found some great treasures. Growing up, we rarely had money for birthdays or Christmas and when we did, the gifts were thrifted. Those were the best gifts! Thanks for sharing
Oh my goodness that train and the thought that you put behind it for your sweet daughter is just precious. What a great mommy, you are my favorite was the brass French horn. Yes, coming out of the tree or on that wreath with a big cool red Cincy floppy or maybe a velvet bow French kiss very classic very classy merry Christmas.
I just got a Santa mug very similar to that at an antique mall recently and the lady who checked me out told me it’s good that it wasn’t actually vintage cause some of the vintage ones have lead in them. I had seen a vintage one at a garage sale and always regretted that I hadn’t gotten it but now I’m happy 😂. Anyways just thought I’d share. I love your haul! Such beautiful stuff!
I used velvet ribbon and hung my collection of brass horns up my staircase with some garland. I also don’t like the rope they sometimes come with so I always cut it off and use my own ribbon to hang.
So many fabulous finds! I like so many things....the fair isle sweater, all those bells, the vintage looking towel. I have a tiny French horn (love your big one) which has the same red twine and always hangs sideways. I hang it on the tree. We found it after an earthquake in Northern California in the rubble. And that big train...so cute.
You got some really great bargains!!!! You know what you love so keep doing it !!!! When your home is all finished for the tour it will be stunning!!!!
WOW what a find with all those BELLS they are awesome! I found the same train but my is green and it was discounted from $29.99 to $18.00 so yours was a bargain. You have the eye for nice things. Love your videos.
Good golly what a great haul - brass bells galore! The pillows are perfect “ peppermints “ for the couch. The idea of filling the train with soft toys is magical.
Kristen, this is a great haul. You are so delightful. I love your beanie. I think you would look good in a paper bag hat. Lucky you. So, great fun, big thanks from Australia.❤
Love the stocking hat! Great choices! I have the same red ticking pillows. They are kinda hard to find a place for them. Because they are so big. But I love them. If you find a bigger nativity set you love. You can always paint it while. Ppl. do that all the time.
I buy too many small things too. I struggle with justifying spending the money on larger pieces, even though they would make a better impact sometimes. I feel your pain. We can work through it together ❤
Me too - I started calling the small stuff "tchotchkes" and telling myself whenenever I am tempted to buy something else small -- That's a tchotchke - put it down, you don't want that! It is true that a few large statement pieces versus tons of cutsie smalls show up better and do away with the clutter problem. (Took me years to realize that too.) I am getting rid of all the littles and realizing that it actually doesn't cost as much if you invest in a few quality larger pieces as it does if you waste your money frittering it away on small stuff that tends to break, get lost and cause irritating visual clutter sitting all over everywhere. I wish I had known that years and tons of wasted money ago! LOL
Hello from the middle of Nebraska! Loved all your treasures! I think the train will be a big hit Christmas morning! Thank you for sharing your true self and humor! I loved every part of the video!!!
My mom had that same nativity set growing up, we used to set it up on the TV stand like you mentioned! I loved looking at it as a little kid and arranging it. I loved seeing what you found, especially the quilted pillow and that awesome train!
You found some great stuff! I love the train so much and what a great idea to surprise your little one with it stuffed with beanie babies. I love the brass bell idea, don't feel bad about ditching the gold rope, it's ugly anyway. And I adore the ticking striped pillows and the ticking striped tea towel. Great haul, lady! Now I'm going to watch your home tour again!

The train gift full if beanie babies is a great idea! When my boys were little I filled a Thomas train with candy on Easter. They were ridiculously excited ❤ Have a Merry BLESSED CHRISTMAS 🎄
Love all of your Christmas treasures. ❤️That precious little train would be great for putting the childrens Christmas books in. Love when you put out a new video! Merry Christmas to your family. May God wrap you in His joy & peace.
Your two tier tray is aluminum. Popular in the 40's. Your finds are great!
Rub & Buff would make those bells look vintage and gorgeous!
All the decorations are gorgeous and reasonable price
I totally agree!
The horn was something that my mom loved. She had many of those. She would always have them on our tree.
I just live the train. Worth more than 9.

Love the train - cute idea for ivy’s Christmas! The red ticking pillow are really cool, too. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I love my Willow Tree Nativity set. It’s more rustic maybe and they are spendy - but they are so pretty. I add a piece every year.
I totally agree!
Fun haul! I love the $15 wreath. I figure a splurge on something balances the deals I get. For example that Santa mug for only 25 cents!
Yes! Thank you!
I love that wreath too
