I’ve mentioned this before but I have to say that over the past 2 or 3 years following you on here, I’ve seen you grow and grow as a photographer. I truely think that you are now “there”. Not discounting your work from way back, but your work lately has gone from strength to strength. Excellent photos. I can’t wait to see what happens in the years to come.
We have the right to roam in Scotland so you could have gone to where you wanted to for the first shot. That is if there was a reasonable way to negotiate the deer fence... I'd check out the Right to Roam Rules Scotland it's different from Englandshire :)
Henry, I’ve paused the video in case I forget to mention this at the end. Unlike in England there is no law of trespass. We have freedom to roam anywhere, with responsibility, and subject to a few limited exceptions which usually relate to shooting season and such like. I mention this so that when you come back to Scotland, again subject to a few enquiries with whichever estate you wish to roam on, you are entitled to go, wild camp etc almost anywhere in Scotland. Right, back to the vlog…
You beat me to it Frank, a very sensible approach is the right to roam in Scotland, done responsibly it opens the country up for landscape photography.
Just watch the alcohol consumption in the evenings though, as if you are too visible where you park you might get an early morning visit and if you are in the car with keys a grumpy officer can have you ( most won’t though)
Mr. Henry Turner you definitely bring the enthusiasm in each of your videos for the joy of photography. The images are excellent and you are making quite a splash in your photography. Great adventures and a lot of excitement. Cheers from the Pacific Northwest USA. Good work.
Hi Henry the fence is to keep deer out not humans there is probably a stile somewhere along its length for public access. Scotland is almost entirely free to roam. Excellent blog again and welcome to my little country.
Henry, you are in Scotland - you have a 'right to roam'. The so-called 'right to roam' is part of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act introduced in 2003 in order to strike a balance between a person's freedom to roam and respect for private property. It allows members of the public to access most land and inland water in Scotland for recreational or other purposes. You got some lovely images.
Top Drawer, you said. And you were perfectly correct, imo. the first photo: Moody as heck and a total feast for eyes and brain.. Totally blown away by the next 2 images. absolutely loving the moodiness. The last shots are awesome Henry, stunning. Thoroughly enjoyed this episode and looking forward to the next one.. Thank you Henry.
Some nice shots, especially the one from the hill and the sunset. You are right about Ardnamurchan, it rarely gets busy even in the summer. But because its all single track roads when it does get busy it grinds to a halt! But I live in Scotand and hadn't even considered going to Ardnamurchan in winter so hats off for braving it.
That brought back memories. The village you were near. Was that Kilhoan (may be spelt differently)? I stayed in a cottage for a week there with family in the late 90s. Beautiful area, so unspoilt. Mum & I went on an overland safari on the Isle of Mull, where we saw White Tailed Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles & a sea otter in perfect weather. We went over on the ferry to Tobermory. Also we climbed the hills around Kilhoan including Ben Hiant which had amazing views across the sea to the Isles of Skye, Rhum & Rigg. Great memories. Thank you. Your pics were fantastic.
Watched this having my breakfast. What a great start to the day! Wonderful location. Thank you for taking us there. The detail in your amazing images is superb as always. Your commitment to your craft is admirable. Your enthusiasm is such a boost on these dark and dreary days of winter. Thank you Henry.
Noticed when you used the ferro rod to light the gas you almost knocked the burner. It's easier and safer to hold the striker against the top of the rod and pull the rod quickly towards yourself. The sparks are more concentrated and come from near the stationary striker. Just needs a little practice with the striker held to one side of the burner :). A blunt safety razorblade makes an excellent substitute striker. I like the way the blue green of the sea is emphasised by a polariser. The green microfibre household cleaning cloth at 11:39 is a great low cost idea for wiping filters dry.
I am going to love this mini series from Scotland Henry, every time you are north of Hadrians wall your enthusiasm goes off the scale. Great images. Enjoy the trip mate.
Henry, your over-the-top enthusiasm, followed by your over-the-top photographs once again inspire. All the shots are delightful. My favorite is the sudden, unexpected sunset you were blessed with. It's a winner - and look how that sunset reflects off the sand! On another note...February's 'Silverdale Sunrise' on your 2022 calendar...Top drawer, my friend. The glow is ethereal.
"Wow" says it all really. Fantastic scenery and incredible images - particularly the second and last. Hope you managed to salvage the mic! Another excellent video with a full enthusiasm quotient! Cheers. Ken
I really appreciate the enthusiasm you bring to your videos. I can feel that feeling of seeing something good to photo and the feeling of having captured the moment. Looking forward to the next one!
Absolutely stunning Henry Love the composit shots ( must have a go and learn how to do those). Also the sunset shot where you "legged" it back down was brilliant. Bet you had a great time car camping, you have just inspired me to fold down rear seats in my old car and try it for size laying down to great amusement of my better half, i will be giving it a go. Cant wait for more "utter carnage and kicking off " from rest of your journey. Your photos are quality as always, thanks again for inspiring.
yet another wonderful slice of trademark "HENthusiasm" for the art of landscape photography. and how embarrassing is it that I need a visitor to my homeland to remind me sometimes of how beautiful it is there? hangs my head in shame. Great to see you enjoying Caledonia Henry, keep coming back, keep photographing it, and keep reminding me how gorgeous it is. Nice to see the "new" shoes are weathering in a bit there, bet you're glad they don't shine out like a beacon any more HA!
Scotland is so beautiful.. I said that before, I know.. But it really is! Love the sunset picture at 17:05, it looks like a painting! The other pictures are amazing too!
Great video. Love the enthusiasm and dedication as always! The light looked really flat but your final images have a lovely quality and really show off the location.
Again thanks for sharing Henry.... fantastic location and images and comments... always enjoy your videos and I am learning more about compositions & settings from you... cheers from Australia 😀
Wow, what an adventure, this is why we subscribe to your channel and tune in every week for content like this. Really enjoyed your vid and the coastal images are sublime. Thank you for taking us along and enjoying the ride. Top drawer Henry.
Amazing photographs Henry, thank for for another fantastic inspiring video . Total top drawer . As for Instagram I wondered why I hadn't seen any new images from you in ages 😀
Comments part two! You did well mate! The colors of the water, sky, rocks, sand - all elements gave you their everything. You worked hard and it payed off. 👏👍
Nice to see you back here Henry stunning images as always , I so enjoy seeing your whole experience on your visit (the hostel lol) look forward to your next venture 👍
Henry! I've been following you since you 1st visited NZ'd (where I live) & I've watched you grow immensely. I have to say, your shots from today are (IMO), the best I've seen from you since I've been following your journey. All of them bangers!
Hi Henry, just for future reference you are allowed a right to roam in Scotland, there is no law of trespass. The fence is likely a deer fence. Usually a sort of very high stile somewhere.
There are so many photographic locations on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. Sanna is wonderful, especially when the sun shines. Hope you got up to the lighthouse. There are some great woodlands too. 😊📷
Nice photo of the sunset. Like you I camp in my car but wary of a flat car battery, I bought a Jackery leisure battery and solar panel to charge my camera, drone, fridge, etc. I might even get an induction hob and rice cooker!!
We stayed in the Ardnamurchan peninsula about 12 years ago…amazing place. This beaches are stunning as are the forests. Did you find the castle? I only had a point and shot then, but now I’ve seen your vlog I want to go back! Great stuff!
Lor’ love ya, Enry! Did that sound English with my Atlanta accent? Haha! Dude, you are INFECTIOUS with your love of life! Car camping should win you some kind of award! I’m excited to see this bonnie Scotland trip! Wow, I better lay off the Yorkshire Gold! Sean
What a great collection of images from day 1 of your latest trip to Scotland Henry. Always love how you capture moodiness of the skies when they are grey and ominous and with the ruggedness of the sea and its pristine colour these elements combined perfectly for your beautiful images
Totally agree on this one

Jealous! How wonderful that must be! I hope to make it there one day.
Spot on Frank, also have a read of The Scottish Outdoor Access Code to keep yourself right. Scotland is beautiful, it needs to be shared.
Like the other Scots here you beat to it…
Just watch the alcohol consumption in the evenings though, as if you are too visible where you park you might get an early morning visit and if you are in the car with keys a grumpy officer can have you ( most won’t though)
Your mind is such a beautiful thing. Love your photos and videos. Also the pure joy you get out of the adventure. Keep it up friend.
Mr. Henry Turner you definitely bring the enthusiasm in each of your videos for the joy of photography. The images are excellent and you are making quite a splash in your photography. Great adventures and a lot of excitement. Cheers from the Pacific Northwest USA. Good work.
Ooohhh love the moody, dramatic clouds and crashing waves. Lovely shot!

Welcome back Henry your enthusiasm is as always inspiring
That Canadian hat will keep you warm. Love from.... you guessed it - CANADA
Hi Henry the fence is to keep deer out not humans there is probably a stile somewhere along its length for public access. Scotland is almost entirely free to roam. Excellent blog again and welcome to my little country.
What a most excellent adventure you had!!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful work!
Well you made the best of what some would say bad weather but in Scotland that's a good day. Love the coastal images and the time blends.
Wonderful energy again in this Henry, thank you as always. 👌

Well, you just have to love the exuberance. Too much boring, pleasant weather here in San Diego; must get back to Scotland for some atmospheric gloom.
Loving your content, get yourself a small camper, up high then to see over the hedges for the hidden gems.
Keep up the great videos 🙂
Absolutely beautiful photos Henry, and had a right we chuckle at you sprinting back to the bay for the sunset image. Awesome work.

Another beautiful area Henry. Still enjoy your enthusiasm mate and the brilliant photographs. :-)
The wife and I were in Ardnamurchan in September for the wildlife. Fantastic untouched area which you’ve captured brilliantly. Good one 👍
