- If you are sad like myself after the news that Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl has been delayed until December, and are wanting something refreshing in the stalker universe, well don't worry today I will be showcasing the Stalker Anomaly mod with the Expedition Mod Pack installed, turning classic S.T.A.L.K.E.R. into a modern day game.

About the game:
The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly 1.5.1 aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
Players can choose from a variety of ways to play the mod. Play story mode with 4 chapters of interesting quests, sandbox mode if you prefer to make up your own story, or the combat intense warfare mode where factions fight for influence and control over different areas of the zone.
Anomaly is also highly customizable, play it the way you like and have the most fun. There are hundreds of settings that can be tweaked in the options menus and for more advanced changes, there are over 1000 addons for Anomaly that were created by other players to change the experience in more advanced ways.

do you know how to get back helth bar and stamina bar ? pls help
Is no stamina/health and ammo count HUD disabled intentionally with this mod? I played vanilla Anomaly and had the mini map, health/stam, ammo count all up but no matter what I do in Expedition, it only toggles the mini map. Even PDA texts don't pop up or item name when I pick something up.
I tried fiddling with it too and can only make the minimap show. On a side note despite the hud toggle button turning hud on and off in the settings nothing happens, and it also makes you start floating lol

I played anomaly recently without the expedition mod. Anomaly seems well balanced to me - gun/armor wise. You have to make progress it's not like you're given a top of the line sniper rifle from the beginning, just a stupid pistol and you have to work your way up, the reputation system, together with the questing is a nice tool to do this.
Now what I was missing from anomaly is nicer weapon attachments, (visuals). But I don't want to give up the grinding process and end up overpowered in a few hours of gameplay.
How is expedition in that regard? Is it too "easy"?
Nah definitely not, progression is the same as standard anomaly, with the new items thrown in to the loot pool

So I installed Expedtion and while I like what they've done are the Swamps supposed to be the only starting position for a Loner character?
No.
Yeah Iv noticed that I can pretty much only start in the swamps for most factions, monolith let me start in Pripyat too

@@samosh I have tried out the mod and I love it but I am having a glaring issue in my opinion. I can't fix the PDA chat system with the other stalkers which had made it convenient for me to know if someone needed help. Also it had gotten rid of mission updates which means I have to check the PDA every time to see what happened which can be tedious. Do you know a fix it would be much appreciated for my stalker until stalker 2 comes out.

I find myself going back to this mod quite a bit, I haven't tried the expedition mod pack though. With all of what's going on with tarkov I'm definitely giving it a go!

Try the EFP mod Escape from Pripyat. It turns the gameplay into an EFT esche experience. More hard-core, more fun.

Well that's certainly one way of looking at it! I won't lie, I've been having a grand time with EFP 3.0 but I wish the movement speed was better balanced and the progressive skills system was supplemental and not completely game-changing. Nothing is less fun than hauling a mere 20kg of junk from one end of Cordon to the other and being out of stamina every ten seconds.
I will say though, the reimagined maintenance system based on WPO/OPO makes for a great gearing experience! Makes so much more sense than scrapping a pistol and losing the frame and slide like in vanilla...
Come to think of it, EFP 3.0 is basically a more fleshed out version of Lazy's 1.5.0 list.
After being killed like 20 times by mutants in the starting zone and then Fanatic getting killed by some random bandits the first time I completed the first quest I quit. It's no fun. The starting zone should be more balanced. I can't even afford enough bandages to heal all the injuries I constantly sustain. Real shame because this mod would be great otherwise. Its just no fun having to quicksave every 5 meters and reload constantly. kills the immersion for me.

The whole Expedition mod is just another compilation of add-ons masked as a huge graphic overhaul scam and everyone is falling into the bait. There are plenty and better ways to play anomaly instead of flashy reshade that adds sepia tint to the game.

It’s literally a free mod for a free mod…mod so free you don’t even need to own the games. And if you think graphics is the only thing the mod touches you’re wrong. Weapons overhaul, armor overhaul, changes to gameplay and ai behaviors, drugs food and drink animations. Lots of things people could try to do on their own but normally fail at. Plus this way is way easier and faster if you’re lazy.
