- This is by far my most ambitious video series to date, and took a lot of trial and error (I wont say more!): a Stalker Anomaly Ironman run aiming to get the Invictus Challenge (Finish the three main stories on the hardest gameplay and progression difficulty, deathless of course).
Initially I was planning on doing this on Vanilla Stalker Anomaly, but the "modpack" Escape from Pripyat (EFP) is so amazing that I couldn't resist using it. It definitely makes things harder though. Anyways, enough talk, enjoy this new Stalker Ironman run, and lets see how far I manage to go!

How to get Invictus in 9 simple steps:
1. Play as Ecologist
2. Farm Ecologist Exoskeleton
3. Farm 5 Empty Artifacts
4. Become an Epinephrine addict
5. Become a Morphine addict as well, just for good measure
6. Dodge pinpoint accurate Thermite Grenades from Monolith
7. Pray that Mortal Sin does not bug out in Abandoned Hospital
8. ????
9. Profit
I just did it. This was exactly how it went down, only I was with Duty and used the PSZ-9D Proto Exoskeleton. You don't need more than one Full Empty on that armor, really, and you can get away with using the improved plates/kevlar instead. The rest of your belt can be filled with anomaly protection equipment like the freon module and the surge protector, just in case you step on an electro or flame anomaly.
I think #8 should be "stop, look, listen.... often," or "S.L.L.O." It will save you more frustration than any piece of kit can for sure.

@@krorook9221 I think he's joking, you don't need *five* empty artifacts, but one can make you significantly tougher to kill and two or more can make you feel like a tank.

I'm actually really surprised no one has gone through and made proper cannon accurate HD models, and that really sucks. I dont usually make people or clothes, but I'm an artist, and have made tons of 3d models for SimCity4 and Cities Skylines. I've never modded STALKER, but I think I may take a stab at it this year. I feel like someone really needs to at least get a Cannon HD Models mod started, because HD models rn are lame, and dont blend with the game very well at all. I mean. They're, fine. I just like vanilla outfit aesthetic much more.

i dont think they re lame, they look more realistic, i too love the vanilla outfits and style but looks kinda outlandish in a game based on the real life exclusion zone, in the hd models you see npcs wearing rags, actual military looking gear and even normal clotes for poor dudes like bandits and loners wich makes sense considering thwt many stalkers come in the game with only thr clothes on their back and a shoter, in a way its more immersive
@@cykablyat9526 the game's setting is early 2000's... it just fits that type of style. the new HD models are poo and unfitting.
Imo I always play as a Loner cuz I like to think I just came into the zone and bypassed the military checkpoint, RP like that

EFP is truly amazing, I wont lie there are a few things i toned down like the damage they can soak at the beginning when using shotgun headshots at close range while they dont flinch ( buckshot and 9x18mm feel like rubber ammo ) as i value realism over artificial difficulty, but overall it is really a top notch mod, for me it is by far the best version of Stalker/Anomaly, I am not sure i will enjoy Stalker2 as much , the depth of the gameplay and immersion in EFP will be very difficult to match. Nice idea for the serie btw, I am eager to watch the rest of your playthrough :)

nice EFP is a least for me the best mod for anomaly but im not the best at it so the fact that this will be a series makes me confident that i can lern from you a lot. Keep up the good work bro!
Yeah EFP can be rough but I absolutely love it. It took quite a bit of practice before having a run interesting to post here :)

The best part for me was the new processing of friend or foe. I havent played S.T.A.L.K.E.R in almost 10 years so I'm going to have to relearn everything with the some notable lessons I learned all those years ago. But as you said so elegantly "We're gonna fuck up at some point and kill some friendlies"

playing EFP AND going for the invictus, thats going to be a wild ride lmao
its possible. The endgame is relatively easy with the right artifacts and a decent exoskeleton with 4-5 artifact belt slot. Early game is pure hell until the brain scorcher
its even easier due to near inmortal companions in EFP

I'm gonna try to have a new video every week (friday or saturday). I wish I could do more but my gaming/editing time is very limited these days :(
Enjoying your video so far, at 6:40 you mention the HD models addon, I agree with you, it ruins stalker a little bit - there are other mods that improve current models and keeps the vanilla armours.

Does this more 'original look' vegetation colours come with EFP?
One thing I'm not too keen on is the dark green Zone in Anomaly (I was always a fan of the *Autumn Aurora 2* mod, for perfect (for me) Zone feel / look)

I really like whatever mods you have downloaded! could you either link or list off all the mods used please? Your better then me I have trouble playing on hard mode even with an exo suit that's fully upgraded. also do you know if its more worth while to buy new things or is it more worth while to just find and repair item's?

I was searching for an escape from pripyat playthrough , I recently installed the mod I've not played it yet since I was finishing my main anomaly one , and wanted to see how the mod is played and maybe get some early tips and stuff
Just started doing this sort of challenge myself, not realising there is an actual achievement for this which is cool! I'm interested to see how you do it because I'm getting slapped left and right.
Oh it's definitely hard! Get ready to be frustrated and rage quit a couple times ahahh! If you're just getting started definitely use some wishgranter lifes so a single mistake is not too punishing. But overall it's gonna make you infinitely better at the game!

Does EFP do anything that can't be done just by using different addons for vanilla Anomaly?
EFP is basically a super optimized modpack, but if you don't like some of its features, like me, you can recreate everything by yourself.
efp isn't as diferent as much as a whole different experience as call of chernobyl is to anomaly, so yes
do you stream these and then make them videos or you just make videos offline? just curious
I just make the videos offline. I wish I could stream, but my computer is a potato and my internet connection is even worse unfortunately :l

"crosshair is cheating" yes | turning off this setting was equally satisfying for me on the long run just as having EFP

make sure to install the newest hotfix, the old health UI was a resource hog so they changed it.
Mod pack was very good but hard aswell
I always find it weird to see all those DayZ models for assets in EFP. It goes full circle. There was S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC, then there was DayZ mod map Namalsk from ArmA2 using S.T.A.L.K.E.R. assets, then there's EFP mod using DayZ Stand Alone assets.

Its the fps counter from ReShade. Just press home to open the menu and you can turn it on somewhere in the settings.

"i play freedom, but not because i have a weird affection with bloodsuckers" if you got that, you play too much anomaly. xD (SPOILER:) ////when you get to the 4th arena challenge in rostok, you will face a bloodsucker, if you (instead of accepting the challenge) say "fuck that", the host will taunt you with something along the lines of: "what, you have an affection for bloodsucker, like you joined freedom or something!?"

In regular games yeah a lot! In ironman it's pretty much useless :)
I have attempted this after completing the base anomaly on ironman, but it felt weird unloading 4 buckshots from Toz 34 into an enemy in close quarters and him just flinching. Is that normal for EFP?
normal buckshot doesn't do shit if the enemy has proper body armor. i use shotguns only against mutans in basically any anomaly based mod. you can try buffing the bullet hit power factor in gameplay->gameplay diffuculty settings to like 1.2 or 1.5 or such.
@@cgob The enemy had an armor with ballistic protection simmilar to leather jacket, just checked.
@@Shanolette Then it's time to buff the bullet hit power, good thing Anomaly has good difficulty settings. The ballistics on rifles are a lot better, I'm kind of late game already and my exosuit basically just sponges all SMG and shotgun fire, which is pretty funny.

Going for invictus pissed me off so much at times. Had a few attempts that I got sick of trying to farm cash earlygame so I popped cheat engine and gave myself 80mil. Dirty? Yes. Cheap? Absolutely. Worth it? You bet your ass.
Army warehouses is a pretty big brained starting point. Riskier than a few starting areas (especially as a Freedomer since 3 of the 4 factions there are hostile), but the loot potential is pretty amazing and quite a few cache spawns close by so the chance of getting mechanic tools is fairly decent as well.
try new game on ironman and hard core AI aim you will regret for sure

The game has some minor bugs, like hoards of mutants spawn next to you, like dying if you spawn on a treasure box, like facing an army of monolith troops in the least expected places 😑
