Hey, do you know why AA doesnt seem to do anything, even when on 8x and SMAA on very high?
the mod has only 1 option: a .7z file. i need it to be a winRAR file so i can use it. (what i mean by this is that there is no option to download it as a winRAR file, only as a .7z file. this option doesnt work for me so ill have to convert the mod from a .7z file to a RAR file using some online file convertion thingy)

Thank you so much for this video. I've made attempts to get into stalker so many times but vanilla is outdated and modding is complicated, but this simplified the process immensely.
There's another modpack called Dark Signal made by a guy named Shrike or something along those lines, it's very good, it's basically vanilla Anomaly modded so that nothing new is added but minor tweaks in gameplay and graphical enhancements make the game lose its outdated feel.
For everyone who’s been wanting to play 1.2 but can’t figure out how to get it to stop crashing when using your inventory or smoking a cigarette I did something that seemed to work. So I have expedition and anomaly installed in files on my desktop, I followed the directions for a fresh install of anomaly then did the install directions for expedition. Go into scripts for expedition and drag the smoking animation and the backpack animation to the desktop. I dragged them to the desktop incase my game crashed worse after this, and to my surprise the game stopped crashing entirely, and the animations still worked even tho the files were on y my desktop and not with the rest of the files. Hope this helps somebody else

Super awesome video man, I got tired of fighting frame rates modding FO4 and could never figure out the perfect setup between beauty in performance. I have the same setup as you so this was exactly what I needed to finally have a nice modded shooter that's beautiful and plays smoothly. One of the most useful modding videos i've ever watched yet!

Arguably one of the more stable mod packs to put addons with. Tarkov-inspired mods and adding a magazine inventory to this mod pack is a freakin' chef's kiss.
@@meat_coolant i use provak and play as bandid or monolith ..then ..
Clear the first area in dark valley .then after upgrading a little bit starting to raid garbage ..then cordon and so ..I teleportinto the maps which is kinda like tarkovs way of entering maps ...everytime I have enough gear/ended a contract I go back to the entry point and extract ..I don't use save in the areas [only at my base] and I use a highest difficulty settings for ai ..
Plus the zone customization project addon which let's me switch on random loot and also change all amounts of spawing objects and npc chars ..
I set the squad size higher and enable zombie pack spawns...
I could change it to a more tarkov like experience if I disable all non human characters..but I really like chasing bloodsuckers ..
@@meat_coolant Magazine Inventory? Is that the one where you have to manage the ammo in each mag, like spending time loading the rounds into the cartridge and whatnot?

Thanks for the great Video it improved my Anomaly Performance by a Lot despite being on a RTX 3070 Mobile and when it comes to AA I always have it on because Edges on 1080p doesn't look so stellar anyways xD

I just downloaded this this afternoon and I must say it is a marked improvement over "vanilla" anomaly. Having played through the main quest on the latter, I feel like this modpack adds enough visual improvements and weapon variety to make many more playthroughs of anomaly interesting.
It just gets better with age liike a very fine wine doesn't it, I would like to see these review gurus use EFP or even vanilla anomaly for bench testing instead of the terrible badly optimised AAA crap that they always use.

Discovering I could turn off the bloom shaders was the huge relief for me. It was damn near unplayable with them on
Its a glitch. on the moddb website it says “delete shader_cache folder from Root/Appdata and replace with identical folder from the zip.”
Awesome modpack! i personaly like to run the "Enhanced Shader" mod with no Reshade at all but thats the best thing about this, gane can look how anyone likes

7:50 on the SSAO settings:
- choose HDAO if you have a AMD graphics card
- choose HBAO if you have a NVIDIA graphics card
Reason? HDAO works better with AMD cards, and HBAO works better with NVIDIA cards, you can still use HDAO even if you have a NV Graphics card, but you will have a much bigger impact on game performance.

I use the reshade of Expedition on GAMMA modpack and it looks great. I would also recommend Dead Zone texture mod, 4k.

Hey man great content! i have a question, do u have any idea what happened to 3d/PiP Scopes? i think they got removed for incompatibility with some reshade things. Do u have any info is there is some compatible one with the current version? Anyway, thx very much for the introduction, i really needed the reshade thing to adjust the graphics
PiP scopes are available with certain mods, like Desolation. Not sure how they work with ReShade, but you can try them out if you want.

I did it by hitting the home key, if nothing appears to you maybe you installed it wrong.
But in any case search for "HOME" Key in your country, sometimes it chances depending on the keyboard nationality
You probably need to download reshade
for me hitting shift+home worked

Does Expeditions come with the mods in the mod showcase section or are you recommending those separately?
Neither is a good option, it's a non modular addon soup and the graphical part is just 10x bloom and sharpness
If you want the best experience, get EFP 3.0 or GAMMA

Great video! I did everything you explained but just a question: how can I enable HUD ingame? Tried to enabling it in game options, console...but still nothing. Cant see my health bar etc...

Interesting observation: Most of the videos about graphic settings for anomaly recommend to switch vsync off and disable fps limiter but what this brought me was a lot of stuttering. On my PC (5800x, 32gb ram, gtx970) when I switched the vsync back on I get 60fps all the time and the gameplay is butter smooth.
It depends on you pc spec and your monitor
@@dennisdabbicco6238 i've come a long way since in terms of optimizing this game and by far the best thing you can do to stabilise and raise average fps in general is to disable hyperthreading through bios.

All jokes aside, I liked this guide and it helped clear up a bit about Expedition's poor preset it ships with. The mod pack itself might be as instable as Chernobyl's No. 4 reactor but the graphic changes it brings can really enhance the gameplay, especially during rain.
what modpack were you using at the end? was it expedition?
This is a straight up guide from start to finish? Do i need any other tools or patches before i decide to start modding? Or can I just start from this video? For example if I wanted to play Fallout New Vegas, I would need to install a bunch of stuff before I actually started modding, or using a mod manager. Also this is such a noob question, but which stalker game do I need? Theres three but I don’t know which one. The reason I’m so new is because I saw your video on expedition and it seemed really nice, you really got me hooked by just one video.

I've always set mine to 2048, only for the reason of not having it at the lowest (aka no good reason lol).

Ok so there are HD npcs, mutants, weapons, HD textures, improved lighting and lense effects ect BUT..
All of the scene assets are still low poly in comparison. It would be very nice to know more about modifying game assets using the 3d program of choice so that they had the same overall dimensions, but a lot more detail (smooth edges, round corners, more geometry) and HD textures to match.
Can anyone elaborate if the game maps are 'as is' (models placed in situ and as one file) or if all the individual aspects like tree models, storage tanks, buildings, cars, debris, pipes ect are individual assets that get placed into the map in preset locations on loading? Hope this makes sense.
What I'm getting at is if individual scene assets could be modified to high poly with HD textures say, a drum or pipe or staircase or tree for example was remodeled with higher detail and poly count, then do all of the copies of those objects also get updated in the maps? Or would you have to go through the entire list of maps and replace the objects one by one?

I loved the recommendation for mods (downloaded both Expedition, and B&S and haven't looked back). However, I'm running into an issue and was hoping you could point me in the direction of a fix. I installed both B&S and Expedition, but running into a shader issue (complaining about the Laser Sights). If I delete the file, it turns the entire game green irreversibly. Any idea of how to fix that? I'd love to use all the weapons in B&S, but not sure how to.

Did you installed both the Expedition mod pack and the BS mod?

Me and a few of my friends are also crashing at "Army Warehouse" map while loading in to the map its crashes to desktop, asked on DB no luck, any idea anyone ? try to fast travel to it via debug ?

Same happens with me, but usually when i'm playing at warfare mode, after a few minutes of staying in army's warehouse, the game crashes, when i checked the logs to see the reason why, it simply said something related to fn scar, i hope they add a hotfix

Dose the mod pack have the HD models in it already? If not, what HD models mod would be best to use? Cause there seems to be a lot of them on the website.
Ive only seen one popular/good HD models mod. Were talking about npc/enemy models? It introduces massive lag at hubs/hotspots though so i recommend using one of the better vanilla based model swaps. Very low if not negligible impact on performance, dramtically better looking than vanilla in my opinion. Though we arent gonna get any amazing looking models any time soon that doesnt tank our fps I'm gonna assume.
The trick is reshading the game but not making it look like a bright sunny happy place while doing it essentially Strelok's 'No more zone' wish.

One thing though, when I start a game its pitch black for me and I mean PITCH BLACK. I´ve tried tinkering with light settings but it barely does anything.

Check the readme in the mod file, there are some settings you can copy over into the user.ltx settings file. Hope I helped!

I fixed it, Reshade wasn't properly installed and it fucked up my game

Hi i recently installed Expedition and it's sort of annoying not having the PDA messages there and it kind of ruins the immersion a bit (i know its not really realistic seeing messages at the bottom left of my screen) but its so nice walking around and then having a fight with a bunch of mercs and seeing what they are planning or people talking about in the PDA. So any luck on fixing this at all?

How do you get your scopes to look so good? I have the expidition mod pack and everything else looks like your video except the scopes. all my scopes just have black around them and the cross hairs are just normal. Can't figure out how to change it
for anyone having inv crashing maybe its the steep parallax and tesselation (worked for me)
I havent interacted in a comments section in atleast 5 years, but Ive been trying to fix my inventory crashing for 3 days, knowing how finicky stalker is its 1 specific graphics setting must be pissing it off, trying one at a time before giving up.

Thing I am wondering is where to make the lighting to look as bright as your game does because I just have stalker anomaly installed but it’s so dark even during the day like I just wish I could get my game to where it’s colorful and bright as yours
Try switching over to Stalker Anomaly GAMMA its harder but since you can change the settings for yourself you can make it just as easy for the most part. It has some of these features built in and with some mild adjustments will look way better than what you have. Alternatively you can set up a reshade preset from the modDB addons page. Id recommend taking a look at the agressor reshade or maybe even the simple simplicity graphical settings addon with either reshade or no reshade on top (adjusted and set up after doing everything else graphics wise first of course)

Is it safe to say that this mod with graphics improvements are fine to run on a 1080p monitor with a GTX 1070? I know most tubers play this mod on 1440p or 4k

If you're looking for a pack, then nope.
Use blindsides reanimation along with some small weapon addons and wait for Contract wars pack release
