    I just love the simplicity of the old school 4wd's as they are built basic to survive the elements of the harsh Aussie outback.

    Hey Danie. I bought a 1HD-T, manual, 80 series, Daphne ( daughters named her after the angry duck on the bonnet), 9 years ago for $12,500. Last year I decided to rebuild her from the ground up, because I decided, if I did spend $67,500, I would have a better, more capable & more reliable car, than if I spent $80,000+ on a new computerised car, that I don't have a laptop to fix. I think that new 76 wagon has the same carpet as Daphne!

    • @DanieSimpson
      @DanieSimpson  2 роки тому

      Yes that's why most of my cars are old school because you can spend the money on modifications instead. This vehicle is more suited to creating products of the newer market. As majority of people are buying new 4wds nowadays.

    Hi..I found you recently, and am impressed with how you work on trucks, etc, I know you have several social media accounts, and a moderate to healthy following, but seriously, how do you afford this life style? If you come from the land of plenty, that's great, and Im happy for you. Running 4x4 trucks around is expensive...parts, equipment, fuel, insurance. If you have a magic formula, even better. Can you enlighten me? If you would rather not, that's cool too. cheers

      Thanks. Not sure what social media accounts or followers has to do with anything. But my lifestyle is certainly not lavish or expensive and I don't come from a family of money. I work multiple jobs and save my money to spend on the things I enjoy aka. 4wds. There is no magic formula or short cuts to working hard and saving.
