Someone just reminded me to saperate the centrifugal fan before cleaning. This is to avoid any liquid going inside the electrical parts. He is right, it is safe that way. Else, when you spray the cleaner, just be careful and spray at the fins only. 🙏
Excellent video! Helped me a lot! THANKS A BUNCH!
Thanks for this. Managed to clean mine following your guide. I envy your filters hope i can get one from lexus
Love this video... I had to mute the music tho.
Perfect Video in every way! TY Sir!
This video really helped us. Thank you
Thanks man 👍 you're the best
I would us QD electronic cleaner by CRC. Not brake cleaner. It’s designed for the electrical components in the fan. Good video and great break down.
THANK YOU for this!!
brilliant video on howto access the fan , if it has done the miles though and very dirty I personaly wouldn't bother ,cleaning , I would just replace it , the reason being on some toyota and lexus hybrids after a fair while these start to fail and when they do at times when driving the MIL light will come on and leave a code -no comunication with hv battery , you will find evrey time the fan runs a load of interference and noise will be present on the data bus between battery computer and main ECU drowning out the comunication signals , faily common after a lot of miles ,
Wao great work. Subscribed!!
Hi, i have discover your video from a Lexus forum.
I have a Subaru forester 2020 hybrid, and is so hard to find informations about the cooling system of the battery.
Subaru says, there is no filter for the battery cooling. I do not believe them.
For the next maintenance service, i Will ask the mechanic to dismantle the rear seats to see how the situation is.
Take care.
Thanks for video! I wish I was handy enough to do this on my own.
I asked my Toyota/Lexus specialist mechanic about this and he only felt like the intake vent in back seat should be cleaned and my 2015 does not have the filter bag so I am going to see if my Lexus dealership offers this as a service.
@@savjottoor7910 cleaning the filter is easy as and should take you about 2 mins to do it
The filter is available through Lexus and I'm ordering one for mine: part # G92DH76020
My son stuffed some things into the intake and I had to take the blower out to remove them. I'm really surprised there wasn't a filter from the beginning of the Ct200h model.
想请问如果hybrid的电池坏了车还能行驶吗
Nice video.
Great video The filter I can do the fan might be too much . Thanks
What’s the Mechanical name for that Red extended looking tool? You used it to pop out that plastic bolt! Thanks
How complicated is it to change the hybrid battery ?
Excellent video!!! But the music 🤐
bro i just cleaned the filter but the maintenance req for the hybrid batt is still there, how to reset it?
What’s the fan for
Where can i buy the filter please?
Thanks. Mine didn’t come with a filter bad for the cover. Did it come with yours?
I believe earlier models don't have and lexus installed the filter for free if not mistaken in 2018.
so cleaning the fan and filter will prolong the hybrid battery life?
also how do you know when the battery dies?
Yes it will prolong when the battery is cool. The cleaning is just for preventive measure. When the battery about to die, usually your dashboard will flash most of the warning lights n check hybrid battery will pop up.
@@kalyan3 i did not remove the EGR cooler out to clean it but only the EGR Pipe. Will do it someday.
How often do you clean the filters?
For Filters, i usually clean around 6 months interval. Its very easy to remove, so when it is dirty, you can clean it anytime.
does anyone have the part number for the filter? driving a 2011 ct200h. thanks.
Hi J t anymore videos on lexus ct ? can you do one with the diagnose tool you use ?tnx
Hi I5, i'll share more videos on the lexus ct in the near future. Unfortunately i don't use any compatible diagnostic tools for hybrid. Am using android torque pro & dr.prius as a general scan tools.
My wife’s CT200 H is a 2012 model year but it only has about 30,000 mls, YES 30,000.
What is the life of the battery likely to be.
The car is in IMMACULATE condition, looks like it just rolled of the showroom floor.
Lexus gave a warranty of 10yrs. Mine replace under warranty at around 120,000km (75,000miles) on the 6th yr if not mistaken. In my case, they found out that the premature failure to the battery is cause by too much heat and they've notice i did not have a filter and my fan is very dirty. So they gave me one for free. My guess for the life of the battery with proper ventilation, should be 5 - 10yrs or 200,000km - 400,000km.
This looks like a huge job, how much does a dealer charge for this.
it doesnt look like its worth to clean the fan. I believe only clean the filter which take about 2 mins to do it yourself
Mine doesn’t have a vent filter/screen like yours. Did you make that yourself or is that factory?
I believe earlier models don't have. Mine yr 2012 initially doesnt have, but lexus installed it for free if not mistaken on 2018. This is because i think they realised this is necessary n part of manufacturing defect. My hybrid battery only last around 5 yrs(est 130k km) and i did a warranty claim from lexus. If you are still servicing under Lexus dealership, i believe u may claim the filter as well.
J t how did you go about doing a claim? My 2012 ct has 120k mikes and hybrid battery is no good. I would love to do some type claim or some type of dealer discount, batter replacement is very expensive.
@@dannyr6444 i did my claim i think around 140k km, when the "check hybrid system" came up together with all the lights on my dash. I sent to lexus service centre, and they found out that my hybrid battery has failed. Its still under warranty, thus lexus replace the battery for free and informed that they have installed a filter for free as well since mine originally do not come with one.
@@johnnytan4503 hi thank you for the video and the information you have provided, just want to ask you if you have the part number for the mesh filter . Thank you.
This video is a lot better in mute
It’s 2021 bro I’m a tutorial video you need to talk
After doing my 90k 14’, I was super surprised how clean it was even with having a dog. Felt good making sure it was all clean and breathing well. Nice video!
