BROTHER!!! YOU FINALLY BOUGHT YOURSELF A SOWBELLY!!! TWO OF THEM!!! I just love the contour of the sowbelly handle, and especially the way the main blade on any true sowbelly is canted inward, to put the forward belly of that cutting edge right into your work. You got quite the impressive haul this year..........shoot Rob, that's an entire knife collection all by themselves!!!
Soooooo good! The King of Diamonds and Ace of Spades are just fantastic looking! I'm so so jealous, but at least I don't have to worry about using and marking up them beautiful blade's lol.
Some very successful shopping there buddy! Particularly the 23 and the 44. It's a long way across the Pond, but maybe I'll get to a RV someday. Loving the 88s this year - managed to get hold of the two I wanted, so I'm well pleased.
Awesome knives. I really liked the one with the Stag handle. I just purchased my first GEC knife. I really thought my first knife would be a Barlow. Instead I purchased a #35 Camp knife. Johnny on the spot. Hopefully my second can be a Barlow. Awesome knives. You must have really had a great time
Nice haul! I had planned to take a ride this year as it’s only about 6 hours from me but I broke my ankle on a camping trip 2 weeks ago. PITA getting around with crutches. Any chance that 49 will be up for sale soon?
It stands for "pattern production premiere". Any time GEC designs a new knife and produces the very first run, they always put that "ppp" etch on the blade. But only on the Tidioute versions, for some odd reason.......never on the Northfield versions. Years ago, Rob ( or someone ) jokingly started calling it "Patty's Potato Peelers".
@@TheApostleP I might’ve been a bit harsh. I apologize. My jack wolf knife is the best slip joint knife made. Reate makes some of the best knives in the world. Lionsteel also make great slip joints. GEC is a cult knife. Prices German up by eBay.
@@dr.stevenpennym.d.3241 If that comment was serious, I sincerely hope you hang around the knife hobby long enough, and have the personal ability, to be able to laugh at yourself. And if so, I sincerely apologize for what I’m about to say. But more likely… You win the “Elon Musk Troll of the Month” Award for June, 2022!

All beautiful knives
Man I want a Diamond King. Got the Ace and Jack of Diamonds. Gonna be a Queen and 10 coming to make a straight.
Great video tying the story in with purchases. I'll never make it to hit GEC like that but do appreciate you sharing. Thanks
Beautiful stuff Rob- oh that Mesquite!
Great video, love that 83 Hummingbird!
Wow! Those are all fantastic. I hope I can go this year.
I also picked up a 44 in stag at the rendezvous. Couldn't believe they were just sitting there in the case!
Great hall Rob congratts.

I've never seen mesquite covers on a handle before! Great specimens you procured!

Great haul Rob! I really need to make it back to PA for a rendezvous, perhaps next year!

Rendezvous too much after blade show and a new motorcycle lol. Fiance will murder me.
Very nice.
Any plans with Bark River and Mike this year?
You bet! Grind In is less than 2 weeks away. I’ll be there with Josh from KSF. Also, the CruWear Gunny Sidekicks will be dropping next month.
Number 1
👍
What’s the story behind ppp?
It’s a secret.

Yak yak yak. I had to go to work. Couldn't stick around for the knives. I didn't subscribe.
They all look like cheap knives.
You may have no idea how fortunate that initial impression could be for you. It may well prevent you from crawling a very expensive rabbit hole 😉
