Keep it up Michael and you’ll have as many GEC Knives as I have Case Knives (100) $10-30K lol That’s for 100 GECs Seriously you do a beautiful job with your leather work and you collect some very fine knives Moreover you are Erica’s friend and that makes you my friend God bless
Great knives brother……… when your talkin heavy hitters your right at the top with them pieces…….. I have to decide what I’m going to throw in the pocket today and I have to go with a Richter slip I’m feelin it brother I’ve been in love with my USA old timers lately I don’t know why anyway have a great Sunday stop being a stranger say hi once in awhile 😊
Beautiful looking GEC’s, they are amazing knifes for sure. I would love to own one of these, maybe one day. They are just too pricey for myself, but, totally worth it for the quality you that you get from them. I just can’t spend that kind of money on one, so I’ll just enjoy your joy I. Then and I’ll dream of one in my collection. They are sweet for sure, and always Loving that sweet Pantina in the Tailgate Michael. Had too get a little of the video in before I get ready for Church this morning. That Viper is amazing 🤩 Blessings R. 🙏❤️👍
We have the same taste. My collection is very similar to yours. I like a good size, slim, not too heavy knife with dark natural covers (or darker micarta) and I use them all, well almost. Beautiful collection.
I came here for the GEC tiners! Best place on the the tube to see um. Also love seeing all the size differences together since I got a 56 and a 72 on the way.
Great collection! Your videos got me hyped on GEC and I’ve bought 4 of them this past month in the secondary market haha. Really want a 35 like yours, love those covers.
Great looking collection1 I love GEC but haven't bought one in quite awhile. They've just become to hard to get ahold of unless you're willing to buy on the secondary market at inflated prices. I do love them though. Such good quality!
You should grab an 81 moose. Awesome knife. I've had chances to grab the 72 but that gap under the lock release has kept me from jumping kg on it. Now you've added more reasons not to. 😂
Freakin' AWESOME collection!!! I have the exact same 78 & 15 and they are both in my top 3 or 4 too. I totally agree with ya on GEC being my favorite. There will always be knives that ya like better than others, but I've NEVER bought a GEC and been disappointed in the quality or F&F when I got it home. Anyways, I told mom n nem. Best wishes.
LOL @ "the Ninja Grip"!! 😂 You know what's really cool, man?...your GEC collection videos have become for us other people out here what Randy Johnson's GEC collection videos were for YOU!!! Your first GEC collection video was directly responsible for me tracking down a 38 English Whittler and a 78 American Jack! I love the symmetry (serendipity?) of how the first knife here is your 78 UN-X-LD with the Golden Brown Jigged Bone covers, and the last knife layed out on Goose's bed is the 86 UN-X-LD with the Autumn Gold Herringbone Jigged covers!!! Because those two knives are definitely brothers, know what I'm sayin?!? And that's kinda symbolic, because you and me are brothers, man!!! 🙌😉🙏 And yup, 13 is an unlucky number FOR SURE...so we're gonna have to change that up real soon LOL! 🤣 Awesome collection video!!!
I want to love the Viper, but I can't - just a personal taste thing, and thankfully we don't all prefer the same thing. With you on that #78 - I have three, but still can't find one in your brown bone! I got your #94 (in the Blue Camel Bone) but it's too small for me. Your Beaver Tail is great - that fat spear!! Want one... I have the same #38 in the Bloodwood, which is the pick of the bunch imo, such a beautifully conceived and made splitback whittler, and that wood just glows. The 'lock rock' on the #72 made me send it back unfortunately (probably I'm my own worst enemy). #71 is just a great workhorse - and yes, they are a bit prone to minor blade rap which soon sharpens out) - love the bead you put on yours. I think the #77 Barlow is even better that the #15 Barlow but that's just my size preference - they're both glorious. Your #56 Chechechechen comes from Africa btw. I have that Ramfoot in NF Cocobolo, another masterpiece (yes, yours is Natural Canvas). The #86s were impeccably made, all of them, including my Oily Creek Bone version. Your rule about having no more than one example of any pattern used to be my rule too - failed miserably. Thank you for that excellent tour of your GECs - enjoyed it enormously. Now get one in Stag!! Oh, nearly forget - The Lord does not drink that muck - I have it on direct authority.
I live in BC and its crazy humid and we get 4 seasons in a day all the time.. Im constantly battling with brass n nickel silver i carried a boker yesterday and the Pins went green from one day.. BC really tests my knives. Ive got a Bullbuster a Pony Jack and a 86... Pony Jack is one of my most used especially the Pen blade for all the sheeple.., Wicked man!! IF yall Dont have .298 do you have any??
You mentioned fluff & buff. I dropped a mini trapper and slightly dinged up the bolsters. Do you use something like Flitz, or is there something better?
Talk to Logan over at knife thoughts. You NEED to join our club. Bearcat Barlow club. Member to member prices are the best in the world. I got a 38 special for $115, an 83 bocote tascosa for $85, and a white owl for $75. I sold a 71 sodbuster for $90, and a 2ab for $140. We treat each other like friends instead of customers. Until I joined that group I had huge problems getting a gec for a decent price. Now I have to consciously stay away so I don’t spend too much.😂
I have a GEC TC Barlow mint in tube with Autum bone single spear blade , and a GEC TC Barlow with Antique amber saw cut jig bone with clip and pen blade also mint , i would trade you either one for your gec barlow , i ve been trying to find one . I sent you a friend request on facebook .
Hey Richter awesome collection I really like all of them but that beaver tail on is sweet!
I’ll be making an updated video of this soon. Waiting for a few to come in the mail
Keep it up Michael and you’ll have as many GEC Knives as I have Case Knives (100) $10-30K lol That’s for 100 GECs

@@richterknives That’s a shame, squirrel is a delicacy here in the Smoky Mountains.

That #38 English Whittler I think you said it was, really looks like a big Little Rattler huh? I love that little guy but a big one would be awesome

Sounds accurate 👊
38 GEC English whittler is bloodwood, one of my fave wood covers. You've got the best of right here bud. Love your collection! 💥Blessings brother. 🙏🏼
Your right!!
The viper is a grail of mine! I’ll have one eventually! You have quite the collection of GEC’s!

If you look hard enough you can find them at good prices or trading is how I got most of mine. The art of trading up…I may do a video on that
@@richterknives I'd enjoy that if you get around to it!

What do you do to polish “fluff and buff” your GECs to keep them fresh?
Buffing wheel on my bench grinder 👍
You mentioned fluff & buff. I dropped a mini trapper and slightly dinged up the bolsters. Do you use something like Flitz, or is there something better?
I have a bench grinder with a buffing wheel
If you want, you can send it to me and I’ll clean it up for you. No charge. Just lemme know.
@@richterknives I’ve been needing one anyway. I may be going to Harbor freight.
@@richterknives Thank you. You are so generous. It’s an older knife, so I want to try.
Where is the stag 72? What did you do??????
I traded for the TC.
