I think it's perfect. I don't know how you kept track of it for so long. Heck I lose track of stuff in my shop on a daily basis. Glad to see you work on something that was sent to you even though it had grubs in it. You are setting the bar for quality workmanship. Way to go.

I love the finial! I think this piece is lovely! I really like how the inside of the lid looks! I sort of looks like a
n urn for someone's ashes and if it is used for that it will be good that the lid is tight! I agree that the foot looks great with the pink band around it!!! Well done!!

Wow - that is a great project! The stabilizing resin not being fully introduced, via a vacuum chamber, gives it a really, really cool weathered look.
Glad you are feeling better. Please take better care of yourself when mounting your horse. I would think that your horse loves you, and misses your rides. Not to mention that cute pup of yours - "Daddy, you finally feeling better? Could you please throw the frisbee and feed me?"
