- Hey everyone! Many of us have trouble in the beginning trying to wrap a sublimation tumbler. In this video I’m gonna show you how to get all the air pockets out and make sure your paper is laying completely flat on your Tumbler to prevent the ghosting and those bed seams.
I bake my tumblers at 350 for 6 minutes. I rotate only once at the 3 minute mark. It’s not necessary but I do it anyways 🤣😜
I use an XL Oster French door convection oven.

Love videos like this short and simple that get to the point without all the mumbo jumbo. But very instructional. Which is all we are looking for. Thank you. I’m new at this and always looking for these quick and simple videos
Thank you! I've been wasting tumblers trying to perfect that seamless look. Such a simple thing that makes a HUGE difference!can't wait to try when I get home.
My Craft Bestie shared this with me today as we we.are both working on Sublimation Tumbler's and omggg the squgee method made a huge difference as well as the painters tape. Thanks so much for sharing and I'll be sure to check out more of your videos!😊😊😊

The best video out here! It came out perfect 🤩

Thank you so much. This definitely helps
Thank you so much for the video! this was a game changer and I was finally able to get my tumblers to sublimate all the way around good
Awesome! This makes me happy that I could help someone. Thank you for sharing ☺️
I'm about to try this NOW! OMG those few little steps abbout the air and using the squeezee to push out the air!! I'll let you know how it turns out!! THANK YOU CHICA!!
I hope it worked for you. Please keep us posted 😉
Beautiful!! Thank you
Thank you for the video and please do another one with the steps for the newbies out here. I would have liked to see what the paper looked liked before you started wrapping, ie how much overlap etc.
Hi Celina! It’s been some months since my first video but I finally made another one from start to finish. Please check it out. Hopefully it helps 😊

Short and sweet
Thanks!! Was great
Thank you!🙏🏼
Awesome
Thanks!
Thank you!
Can you use painters tape with the mug press?
Do you have a link for the scraper you use to get the air out?
Great video. can't wait to see more. Where did you purchase the design?
Thank you, I put it together.
Great tumblers and video. As for your image, did you Google the Starbucks logo and add it to your chosen background? And thank you for sharing your awesome work and knowledge.
Yes, I did ☺️
Are you putting the paper on top of each other?
what measurements are you using for images for 20oz tumblers
That was awesome! What software do you use for printing?
Back in the day I use to make custom candy wrappers and this is the program I use. It’s called wrapcandy but it’s no longer available.
Thanks for making this video. Is there a guideline on how big the overlap should be? I overlap and sometimes I get a colored vertical line down the tumbler where the overlap was. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I don’t add too much of an overlay, maybe 1/8 of an inch.
Thank you! And yes, I would like to know the times on the oven.
I do my tumblers @ 350 for 6 minutes. I normally don’t turn my tumblers. However, If they are all red or black I will do 350 for 5 minutes and turn half way through. These colors tend to burn more quickly. I hope this helps ☺️
Why do you not user wider tape and place it longways to save time and tape?
idk what i am doing so wrong to still be getting the ghosting/white lines..this is so frustrating..there is some of my tumblers to where it comes out perfect and then its the ones i am working on now that is driving me BANANAS!!
This is happening to me too. I just don't understand. I don't want to give up but It's just so frustrating.
How much do you overlap? Do you you leave a tiny bit of white on one edge, or do you cut all white off?
I leave about 1/8” overlap. I will be doing a full tutorial from start to finish soon. Hopefully that video will help.
What size do you print your paper? This video is great thank you!
Sorry for the late reply but I print my image out at 9.3x8.2
Thanks for the video. Wondering what size you print your images. They look great and mine are off🙄
A skinny 20oz straight tumbler should print 9.3 around by 8.2 high
@@peej061085 thank you so much. So helpful😊
How did you print your design to not have a seem? Beautiful job!
Beautiful tumbler. Love the file. Did u create that
These are MarkerFlo tumblers and I measure mine at 9.2x8.1
What do you do when the wrapping paper does not meet around. I have a 30 oz water bottle that when I wrap it the paper its not bif enough so I'm afraid if I put the tape straight to the tumbler that it will leave a mark since I use the yellow Heat tape
I don’t sublimate 30 oz tumblers for that reason. I do know that you will have to purchase longer paper. I believe it 8.5x14.
No need to do all of that taping. Get the Promowares 20 oz flat bottom tumbler. Tape the side where the seam meets. No need to tape the bottom. I did have to put one strip of tape at the top. At 365 F I had an awesome tumbler 50 to 60 seconds later! I have been struggling with ghosting at the top and bottom for over a year now and many tumblers and frustrations later, I have found the game changer. The flat bottom tumbler is the way to go! Now I have to work on my seams. One thing at a time...
Thanks for your tip but I personally don’t like the flat bottom tumblers but this is useful for those who do. I did however find a much wider 2” tape on Amazon that has been a game changer for me. Check out my more recent video with me using the tape. I definitely use less with the same remarkable outcome
Where do you get your tape? I have ordered some off Amazon and it would not work right.
Heat Tape for Heat Press, 6 Packs Selizo Heat Transfer Tape Heat Resistant High Temperature Tape for Sublimation on Coffee Mugs, HTV Craft on T-Shirt Fabrics www.amazon.com/dp/B08JGCD3VV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_BQTGP4BMQEEAVAX6GEGR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks for sharing! Can you give me the measurements you use tumbler when printing them? Thanks 😊
I use MakerFloCrafts tumblers. They measure 9.4x8.1
I highly suggest that you purchase a fabric measuring tape and measure your tumbler. Not all manufacturers make them the same size. It might be the same in ounce’s but height and width may be different.

Was that masking tape? thanks!
Yes, it was ☺️
May I know what printer you are using for bigger tumblers?
I have the epson 2720
@@heavenlyedencreations8416 I have an epson 15000 and still don’t know how lol
How long do you put yours in the oven?
Sorry for the delay in my response but I do 350 for 5 minutes. I don’t rotate since I have a large convection oven.
Great video. Where did you get that file? I love it
Thank you, I put that design together.
We need a oven tutorial lol mine keep burning or ghosting 😭
Hi Emily! I just posted a start to finish video with a little bit more details on using my oven 😁😊 please check it out

Am so sorry you did show at the beginning how to overl lupus one anothe
Why wrap in painters tape?
It’s not necessary but for beginners it helps with keeping the image tight against the tumbler. If the paper is even a little loose it will cause fading. This method prevents that.
@@heavenlyedencreations8416 thanks. Will it also work with a tumbler press? You mentioned you use an oven.
Honestly, I do not know since I do use an oven. I have seen others do it and I think it would help but make sure to put the tape around the butcher paper because the glue from the tape could effect your image. With that said, a press already gives pressure where an oven does not so you might not need to go through the same process as I do.
why butcher paper?
Painters tape is really sticky when heated, this prevents the glue bleeding into my image.
@@heavenlyedencreations8416 wouldn't the painter's tape burn during sublimation?
Both look great!! How do you make it look like it was a round image and that both end sides are connected? 🥹
