Hey Gitana fun fact. The very high notes in the harmonies are Adam Rupp the beat boxer. Adam has a beautiful Alto voice. which we RARELY get to hear. Gitana, If this doesn't make you emotional your heart has hardened too much. This was recorded and shot entirely in the Austrian Alps last year during their European tour. And the talk of us being alone n the universe, this song dispels that with the line, " When I am in awesome wonder, of all the WORLDS (not world) thy hands have made". God is good all the time, we have only to still our minds and listen. You can hear his voice in the wind, rain, snow, in the birds singing. One has only to be still to hear him.
A Swedish pastor wrote this song, he was walking home from church one evening and got caught in a thunderstorm. He took shelter from the storm but through the thunder and lighting he seen gods grace and wrote this song.
That feeling you feel when you hear gospel music is the Holy Spirit. Read John 3:16 as this will put everything in perspective. Thank you for reacting to this song. I know it wasn’t easy for you.
Absolutely! And I love how Home Free shot this in a place that really goes well with the song. God did an amazing job with His canvas, did He not? I'm decidedly not Christian and I very much appreciated this version of this hymn (which I was familiar with as it's a popular one). To just hear their layered voices without any beatboxing, this is one of the best.
I've never seen anyone listen to How great thou art, and as soon as Tim Foust starts singing either their eyes suddenly widen or they take a breathe (or both) and then just generally be blown away by the performance, it is a fantastic production. Absolutely faultless.
The majesty of the location and the reverential talent of Home Free command us to be quiet and let the song flow over, around, and thru us to soothe our souls and recharge our spirits. Thank you so much for allowing us to share in your joyful experience with this song.
Music is one of those things that speaks to the soul no matter what faith or lack thereof you believe in. The lyrics are metaphorically profound and the harmonies are awe-inspiring. My mom's favorite Hymn. So hard to hear now, she passed in 2011. This is a fantastic version. I'll recommend Peter Hollen and Tim Foust's version of Misty Mountains you won't be disappointed Ps DO NOT change how you react! You are incredible!
@SUEZ365 it's up to you if you want to believe that all historians throughout the years that have proven the historicity of the Bible and the resurrection of Jesus true are wrong. You're the one living in denial if you deny the facts that even atheists confirm.
I think while it's all well and good that people have their beliefs, it's best to keep it to yourself. Not everyone appreciates having beliefs shoved down their throats.
@SUEZ365 I am on the fence on this whole Christian vs Atheism debate. And frankly I think people can believe what they want to believe. I get that you don't buy into it and I respect that. I think if Atheists have their beliefs then Christians should have theirs too. Live and let live. You aren't going to change my beliefs anymore than the Christian community will.
A beautiful melody, a great beat, a gorgeous chord, a voice that just moves you... ways in which music reaches our hearts and souls, when sermons and lectures just bounce off us. It truly is the universal language.
One can never go wrong when paying a proper tribute to our heavenly Father. As long as it is done respectfully, and with a pure heart. This song is so beautiful, and as a Home Fry, this is my third favorite version. First is Elvis, second, is from Carrie Underwood.
Great reaction as usual! Your quirkiness is endearing and your love of music is infectious. Then again, it’s nearly impossible not to love Home Free, Pentatonix and Voiceplay. They just make beautiful music and take us to a happy place! Keep em coming G!

Dear Gitana, They filmed this in the Swiss Alps. I hope you react to Amazing Grace Peter Hollens and Home Free and I can't wait until you react to Home Free Quarantine. They did that from their separate homes because of the virus and it is about the virus (Very funny). You two are hilarious to watch! This is one of my favorites from Home Free. There's just something about the old great hymns. I regularly stand in church (although, not lately) with the organ roaring and voices soaring with tears running down my face. Our organist tells me that's how she knows she got it right. As far as merch goes, you absolutely must have a shirt with "You know! You know?" on it.

Glad you enjoyed this so much. Did you notice Adam actually sang 2 lines by himself. He doesn't like singing solos as he doesn't feel comfortable with it, but does it on occasion when its simple and then song requires no beatboxing. There are some live versions of the guys doing this song under an awning during a rainstorm where they are standing on a picnic table surrounded by fans and security. As much as I love this version and the scenery I love that version more because in a way it is hauntingly beautiful, and you can really tell Adam sings along in that. I don't think you've watched Summer in the Country yet, so I think you'll like that one. Just something I noticed with this video though is I struggled to hear your voice sometimes, so I'd turn the volume up but then felt like my ears were blown out by the volume when the music video was turned back on. Oh well. All the best!
I just saw that live version yesterday. They had to cancel the concert because of the storm but wanted to give the fans that came a little something. They are truly great people and great musicians.
As you listened to this you were just confronted with the greatness and grace of God. How good has He been to us...His mercy is incredible. God bless you.

Your reaction videos introduces me to new artists and music, thank you so much. Love to you and your family ❤
Love you, ditziness and all. That's what makes you feel more real to your fans. This was shot by a drone in the Alps of Austria, while they were there for a music festival. I've watched this so many time to count, and it still gives me the chills. So beautiful, and those harmonies are hard to beat. But...did you notice the beat boxer sing a solo part? The one and only time I actually heard him sing a solo part. It was short, but he has a beautiful voice, just like the other guys do. He does a lot of 5 part harmony singing, but never with a solo part. Anyway, Thank you for another great reaction. And, Hello Donovan!!!
I love that they added the chorus, "It is well with my soul." Horatio Spafford wrote It Is Well around 1874. Horatio Spafford was an attorney. He invested in real estate in Chicago in the Spring of 1871. In Oct. he lost all his investment in the great Chicago fire. He had lost a son before that as well. He decided to take his family to England to hear their friend Dwight Moody preaching. His wife and 4 daughters left and he was joining them later. The ship they were on sank, killing all 4 of his daughters. He received a telegram from his wife with just two words, Saved alone. While sailing to join his wife, as the ship crossed near where the downed vessel sank, he wrote the words to "It Is Well With My Soul."
it would nice to see hubby sitting by your side sometimes & watching his reactions also, on your own you are great but both of you together would be so awesome.... enjoy the rabbit hole of Home free :)
Love your reactions!! I've heard their version of this song at least a hundred times (if not more) and it doesn't matter, it gets me emotional every time. If you really want to cry like a bitty baby I heavily recommend their version of Vince Gill's Go Rest High. Vince killed me and made my cry each and every time, but Home Free really turn on the waterworks.
I absolutely love your feeling, expression and joy in music. Thank you. I like you and your husband together too lol. You are a gorgeous woman and I suspect you are inside. Let the Holy Spirit talk to you.
I just found you today, and I already love you. I have been binge watching your video's for the best part of 2 hrs ( I've watched some of them more than once, I absolutely LOVE Pentatonixs's and now you have introduced me to Home Free and they too are amazing.
That emotion is your response to the Holy Spirit echoing Eternity through your soul, bringing that reality to you concerning the person and presence of Jesus himself. Listen for that call; it’s the voice of God whispering, “Come home, my dear. Come home.” You make that journey, instantly, as you cry back to him, “Jesus, yes!”
As a recent subscriber, I was looking through some of your older reactions. This one really shows your pure, honest, emotional connection and appreciation for the incredible vocal harmonies that transcend language and politics and religion and opinions. I DID lose my bet with myself (I predicted that you would cry), but at least you asked for tissues... so I was close. What a beautiful reaction! Thanks!

Hi Gitana, Your 'husband's "Nope. . . . she's still going" comment near the end of the video had me laughing so hard I was crying. Great reaction, as always. I have to say, Home Free is my favorite vocal band. Perfect is not a strong enough adjective to describe their harmony when they sing.
I’ve watched quite a few of your reactions. I subscribed today. I love your voice, your accent, your personality, and how real and genuine you are in your videos. I look forward to many more to come.
When you couple certain chords with powerful words, it can becomes full body, physical, emotional, and soulful experience. The music becomes the carrier for the message of the words. It is a one, two punch that conveys much more impact than either does separately. Home Free excels at this art. They are masters of using phrasing and chord movement that goes right to the heart of the matter, enhances humor, or expresses pure joy of life. This particular song, while powerful on its own, receives the full bounty of these attributes in their version. A heart felt reaction to a very powerful performance. I enjoyed it and your reaction.
You have to do a reaction to Misty Mountains with Peter Hollins. Love see you and your reactions, looking good as always. Also My Church by these guys is a really good one.
Nothing, I mean nothing can prevent an emotional flood when the Holy Spirit shows up. I love my God. One day soon we will all see Him. I hope that those who hear this tremendous song will experience the presence of God. I admit, even as a jarhead that does not get emotional often, when it comes to God where I see His name praised as in this video, I cannot hold back the emotion. In this confusing world I just wish everyone could remove the blinders and know He is more real than the physical realm. Well, before I start one of my rants, I will stop. But just wow on this one. Well done. And thank God for these excellent vocalists and choosing this mighty song to, as this song says....."bow down in humble adoration". Amen to that. Phew. Humbling to be sure. All cares just melt away. Imagine when He shows back up what we will experience. Ok...I will shut my pie hole. I'll leave you with one of my favorite scriptures. The Creator of the universe saying this to us. Uhhh: “Come now [insert your name], sit...let us reason together says the LORD" Isaiah 1:18
jarmaine oviedo - a minor correction, Everything Will Be Okay is an original song by Home Free, not a cover. That being said, I agree that it’s a wonderful song, especially if you’re feeling a bit down.

This arrangement of How Great thou art is amazing. The harmonies are awesome. This song will make you cry. Hope your girls had a great birthday. Love the videos. You are awesome.
Hallelujah! Someone who knows music. These guys are mediocre at best. George Beverly Shea (1957!) and Carrie Underwood (2011) both with multiple other renditions on you tube have ten times the voices of these guys whispering their 'style'. ZERO power in their voices. Bev and Carrie SOLO have better voices then these 5 clowns put together.

I absolutely love your feeling, expression and joy in music. Thank you. I like you and your husband together too lol. You are a gorgeous woman and I suspect you are inside. Let the Holy Spirit talk to you.
The scenic beauty matched the majesty of the lyrics!
Music touches my emotions deeper than almost anything I have experienced in my life.
May i just add a small opinion ... i find you and Donovan refreshing i praise your honesty and your pure spoken thoughts.. thank you
It’s not emotion you feel; it’s worship.
Thanks!
I needed this. God Bless you, & most sincerely... Thank you🙏💞🙇♀️💫😇 Peace back into my soul. You have no idea. Grace to you... 🕊️
Rob is one of the best tenors. I could listen to him all day.
That was awesome!
I think you would really enjoy “Everybody Walkin’ This Land” by Home Free as well! It’s an amazing song!!
Music can heal the human soul, and this cover by Home Free helps heal me when I'm stressed out.....I feel God through this. Gitana thank you so much for reacting to this....what about that last bass chord that comes in right at the end ? I gotta see what my budget allows next month, I'd love to rep you with wearing a shirt :) on one of my videos (I'm not a reactor so no competition) Hope you & Donovan have a wonderful Wednesday !!!! Bless y'all
The longer your intros the longer we get to watch you. And, one never tires of viewing beauty.
Goosebumps!! I imagine this is what Angels singing in heaven sound like! Brought me to tears.
Hi Gitana,
Your 'husband's "Nope. . . . she's still going" comment near the end of the video had me laughing so hard I was crying. Great reaction, as always. I have to say, Home Free is my favorite vocal band. Perfect is not a strong enough adjective to describe their harmony when they sing.
The beautiful song & most INCREDIBLE singers ....you can’t help but get grabbed .... it’s just too wonderful what they did ☦️💖☦️
I’ve watched quite a few of your reactions.
Gitana, your channel provides two of the most important things in life, laughter and music. Thanks for doing what you do.
You are my favorite music reactor EVER. I think I already have told you that but if not then there it is. You're the best... TFS
You are absolutely a sore to watch little one and always brighten my day so thank you.
You have to do a reaction to Misty Mountains with Peter Hollins. Love see you and your reactions, looking good as always. Also My Church by these guys is a really good one.
2 great suggestions, Semper Fi Sir
Uhhh:
“Come now [insert your name], sit...let us reason together says the LORD" Isaiah 1:18
This song leaves me speechless every time I hear it. Amazing.
If you want to get a tissue even more, check out their Everything Is Gonna Be OK cover. It will get you more emotional.
For no tissues and to see how dynamic they are look at Thinking Out Loud/Lets Get It On, or End of the road
jarmaine oviedo - a minor correction, Everything Will Be Okay is an original song by Home Free, not a cover. That being said, I agree that it’s a wonderful song, especially if you’re feeling a bit down.
When you listen to a great song like this, especially from these guys, you just can't stop. :) they have A TON of covers and originals you have to check out. Some include: my church, man of constant sorrow, god bless the usa, auld lang syne, cover me up, meet in the middle, the entire dive bar saints album, you name it. I mean, they do it all.
Crazy how well every person in this group can sing.. even Adam (the beatboxing machine) can really let it out as shown in this song
my soul aches for strong men singing praise like this
Really enjoy your reactions! This is just beautiful, love Home Free!❤️
How great thou art is the greatest song ever written (It is well very close and both together! WOW
Forever the pleasure to watch your reactions always keeping it real
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! That goes for your reaction and Home Free's cover of this song👍
when it comes to God glory - we bow! we silent and give him praise.
Love that song by them and love ur reactions. Don't mind all the talking. Ur voice is soothing!!
This is a song that my mom sang in a quartet in church. She passed away in 2000 and this really brought back a lot of memories from my youth
Just love your channel and your emotions and true reactions you do, Love ya be safe and glad donovan's mum is doing better
This arrangement of How Great thou art is amazing. The harmonies are awesome. This song will make you cry. Hope your girls had a great birthday. Love the videos. You are awesome.
I love your reactions. I love that you put your whole self into them. Your personality is infectious!
You should react to Carrie Underwood live rendition of this song. One of the best live performances all time...
@@carldietze1624 haha yeah ok Carrie can't even pitch her voice right its called autotune that's the only way she can have a voice and people bowe down to her like she's some kind of queen. These 5 guys put her to shame. If dont like it leave and go back to listening to ms Carrie autotune
