Home Free started in Minnesota. Two of the members are from Minnesota, one lives in California but was raised in Alabama, one from Texas, and one from Georgia. They didn't start out as a country group but found it different from what everyone else was doing and started before, but were accepted on the Sing-Off show as a country group and they won that season (Season 4). They are more than country though, they do Pop songs, did an R&B, Old classic rock songs, Top rock, gospel, and country songs too, They have collaborated with some big stars also. I'm not much of a country fan, but I like what these guys do and are a big fan. Love them!

Their foundation is country...but what I love about them is that you can't pigeonhole this group as they can do hip hop, r&b, pop, reggae, etc., just like you said.

[quote from Sweet Talk Publicity News article] Approaching the impressive 100 million views mark on UA-cam, Home Free continues the momentum with their awe-inspiring video for “How Great Thou Art.” Filmed in the Swiss Alps while overseas for a headline show at the European Country Festival, the video was directed by Fifgen Films’ Reilly Zamer, McKenzie Zamber and Jimmy Bates.

If I'm not mistaken this video was filmed near the Swiss Alps (the ones in the background) in Austria back in 2016. If you're really interested you can check their "From The Vault" behind the scenes video that shows how they filmed this. Great reaction you guys! You gained yourselves one more subscriber :)

It was “Auld Lang Syne”. Not “Same Auld Lang Syne”. “Auld Lang Syne” is a poem written by Robert Burns~~Scottish poet. It was adapted into a song with the same name!

Home Free really is incredible! When they competed on Season 4 of The Sing-Off, they were billed as the first country a capella band. They do quite a bit of country, but even their non-country songs have a bit of a country vibe to them. Adam and Rob are from Minnesota; Chance is from Alabama; Tim is from Texas; and Austin is from Georgia.

This one of the few where Adam Rupp retires his internal drum set and used his tenor voice to bring us 5 part harmony.
This was filmed in the Austrian Alps, and there is a making of video that is worth watching in UA-cam. If I remember correctly, it names the town this is near. They filmed it during their European tour.

This is one of the very few times you will hear Adam Rupp (their beatboxer and founder) sing.. He is the only one without vocal training and does not feel comfortable singing. His contribution is the glue that holds everything together, he is absolutely superb. Adam was a trumpet performance major in college and can play many instruments. Yes, they all take turns with the lead, they are all superior vocalists.

Technically, yes, they're country, they've said it themselves, but they do enjoy putting their style to other music :p... filmed in Austria. They were doing an A Cappella "thing" and saw this view. They called the crew in (who were NOT in Austria) asking if they'd come, they found the perfect place to shoot for this song lol... dedicated and very right!

Maybe the most magical moment ever for them was when an outdoor show was called off due to storms, but they and a bunch of the fans rode it out on a pavilion. They decided the "Home Fries" deserved a little something and they performed this without any mikes or enhancement of any kind, and thank Goodness someone filmed it. I watched an interview with Tim Fault (with "The Charismatic Voice") - he said he tells other bass singers to sing tenor and - if possible - falsetto. That exploring their high range will help with their bass singing. If you get a chance watch the video of the interview - it's really interesting! This was filmed in the Austrian Alps.

Location where "How Great Thou Art" was filmed
I checked the clip Home Free - From The Vault - Episode 8 ("How Great Thou Art") regarding possible information of the filming location. Right at the beginning (0:36) the members are asking their filming guide where they are and are told that they are in "Kematen in Tirol" (in the Tyrolean Alps) which is close to Innsbruck - the capital of the state of Tyrol. So probably they stayed there at a hotel.
At 1:01 in that clip you can find an wodden memorial plate from the skiing club "Axams" regarding an avalanche disaster which occured in 1963 and where they are in deep sorrow because one of their ski instructors died.
Further research showed that the skiing club "Axams" cottage is the "Adolf-Pichler-Hütte" near the internationally well known "Axamer Lizum" skiing area.
From there, they then walked probably around hundred meters / yards uphill, where the filming took place. You can find the exact location here at the website of the cottage. However its in German / Austria, but the coordinates are stated on the page.
    adolf-pichler-huette.at/lage/
There are even some screenshots on their homepage "Startseite" as well as a youtube link containing an advertisement of the cottage.

This is one of the few times where Adam is not beatboxing. He was the singer who did the "It is well with my soul" segment. I've watched this video so many times and I get goosebumps every single time. Another 5 part harmony song is Helplessly Hoping by Crosby Stills and Nash. That one is haunting in it's deceptive simplicity. Blue Ain't Your Color gives a bit of Motown flavor. All About That Bass takes a pop song and switches it up. The Sea Shanty Medley is fun and shows why Adam is called the Freak of Nature. A few great collaborations are Children Go Where I Send Thee with Kenny Rogers, Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boys, American Pie with Don McClean, and God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood and the Airforce Band! This list could go on and on. I have songs I like better than others, but none that I've come close to disliking. Great reaction from both of you. Thank you!

This is so beautiful. It’s the best version of this song I’ve heard. This was filmed in the Austrian Alps when they were touring there although I live in Colorado and it could have been filmed here or in Wyoming, Calif., Montana or Alaska. I half expected Julie Andrews to come out singing “the hills are alive”. Hahaha. Great reaction. Home Free can really sing most anything. Yes, they sing country but they also sing R & B, pop, gospel. If you really like bass listen to the bass Tim Foust sing Misty Mountains (from the Hobbit) with Peter Hollens. He’s another amazing ‘a cappella’ singer and it’s just the two of them....amazing!
