@@phgamer4393 1. Comparing DS effect spectacles to DBZ is laughable, at best. 2. S2 was pretty solid. It didn't deserve, like 1-2 of the awards, but it was still pretty good, and I didn't have an issue with the pacing at all.
@@troydennis96 Yeah, but I could've sworn that I saw Mugen Train in tv show categories when it should've only been in the best film category. That being said I don't understand the hype behind Kaisen especially when you compare basic bitch action manga character designs to ones like Oddtaxi where the character designs aren't only unique, but the in-world explanation for the character designing is unique.
This is one of those weird things where I agree with him that its not fair to compare movie production with series production in the same category but also if we are comparing them then obviously demon slayer wins animation because if there is one thing demon slayer does better then everything else is the animation quality. I do think Mushoku Tensei should have won an award but I also know that there was a lot of mixed animosity towards Mushoku Tensei at the beginning for like the first 6ish episodes where it got almost as much hate as it did praise because soo many people hated Rudeus and thought he was another incel character with poor objectifying views on women and, obviously as you watch the show you understand that was the entire point and how he had to grow as a character from being that, but it immediately put off soo many people that dropped the show. The point I'm getting to is everyone knows the awards are a popularity contest and the early reception to Mushoku Tensei hurt that popularity quite a bit.

Garnt should stream more. For a script heavy UA-camr, he's surprisingly good at thinking of shit to say on the fly on top of being an amazing storyteller.
Just a friendly PSA here: do NOT, under ANY circumstances, snort salt. It's 1) an incredibly stupid idea; 2) an extremely awful experience. A friend of mine did it in front of me when we were like 14 and I honestly thought he might die right there lol. Don't do it.

An antagonist isn’t a villain. The antagonist is the force that opposes the main character… so Eren can’t be an antagonist because he is the main character
But he opposes himself in many ways... He can be the antagonist, it is not impossible for the main character to be both protagonist and antagonist. There's nothing impossible in writing.
Eren is somehow impossible to put into a box. You would think he's either a hero with questionable methods making him an anti hero or a villain with good intentions but actions that are villainous making him an anti villain. But because of perspective he's neither. Also I almost consider Armen and Mikasa co-MCs in season four with Eren being his own thing
When he was surprised ppl liked the music of demon slayer, I was more surprised he forgot how popular that demon slayer ost got in s1. Yeah, the rankings is for last year... but anyone voting is obviously just going to see demon slayer in a music category and vote it either way - disregarding that its the sequel that is listed.
I think a lot of what tripped Garnt up is that he he had Demonslayer as a movie in his mind and mentally eliminated it from contention/nomination just based off that. Like a lot of his mistakes was just based on him being careless and not even bothering to double-check who the nominees are.
They don't want to reckon with the grim reality of a truly flawed character and not a heroic badass who "only reluctantly" does all the traditional hero things while brooding every once in a while.
They only want "safe" flaws like _Izuku being such a soft sensitive baby cinnamon roll uwu,_ not anything that even the story itself portrays as being morally repugnant that the character must overcome. Endeavor being ashamed of the horrible treatment he subjected his family to and is now legitimately trying to become a better person? *LITERALLY ABUSE APOLOGISM, WTF HORIKOSHI YOU PROBLEMATIC FUCK-*
I think part of it is also a change in demographics. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an older crowd that likes to see more grey in morality while other generally younger crowds are peeved by that kind of stuff

Some fans even go as far to call Eren an antagonist. The main character at 17-18 died masturbating to lolis. Quite literally the definition of a pedophile. The difference is is that the show sweeps it under the rug and even goes so far as to justify his behavior as a hobby like reading manga and watching anime that are considered hobbies. He's not criticized much from the show outside of the realm of being called a pervert, but like...... no one knows He's actually a 17-18 year old disguised as a 10 year old (but at that point he would be considered 28 if you combine both of his lives ages). I feel like one thing that made me really satisfied was that in the end everybody ended up with somebody and that there were no loose strings to tie up. A lull in the sea was an anime where i thought the animation was beautiful but the storyline was not. The anime had such a good potential but i think that they made it too much into a high school cringey romance series. One thing that really bothered me throughout the series was how the supporting characters got no attention. Fruits basket really got everything down though. That's only because the animation studio got a bigger budget after the success of the 1st season. Mushoku tensei is a brand new anime from a brand new company. So it's no the same at all.
@mochoman312 games No. Mushoku Tensei is a new anime from a new company, it would get an average of $200k per episode. Especially since it's a new studio. In comparison to Demon Slayer that's had millions of dollars in revenue sales and profit earnings since its been out for a little over a year and because of the movie's earnings. These things help fund the next season. So in a sense it is different.

Particularly, from the earlier seasons, many would view Eldia as the protagonist group with the antagonist in these seasons being the titans. As Eren seemingly betrays Eldia, he becomes the antagonist to the protagonist group. In addition, Eren can also be viewed as an antagonist to himself although this may not be as strongly backed. All in all, this isn't a conventional protagonist-antagonist arrangement and I'm not sure he is deserving of the award as such, but I do see how he can be viewed as an antagonist.

Well his logic is quite flawed on that argument. If it was "Kimi no Na Wa" or "Koe no Katachi" then yes, they are movie level animation. But "Mugen Train" is literally a series that has been made into a movie. Season 1 had the same level of animation and now season 2 also has.
well, I don't think the story will help to decide which show has better animation. I love mushoku Tensei more than demon slayer but the action scenes of demon slayer are something else. Mushoku Tensei has good animation and is consistent but demon slayer beats it.
Demon Slayer is from the same studio as Fate(talking about UBW, Zero and Heaven's Feel here), but it defnitely can't win against Ufotable's Fate adaptations in terms of animation.
86 and Mushoku Tensei definitely deserve atleast one award . And best Romance anime horimiya....people haven't watched fruits basket final , it was too in the nomination. Demon slayer movie had high budget for the last fight and it's a movie compared to a series, Don't forget 86, vivy has a too good animation in action scenes

Demon slayer manga got so lucky coz Ufotable carried it so much with its graphics for having such a normal story so ufotable deserve every award for it..if only 7DS had so peak animation coz its manga design is much more clean than Ds, no wonder fans want tokyo ghoul reboot by MAPPA or Ufotable but i personally think WIT will do more good job for it and tokyo ghoul deserves it as studio pierret had such a shitty adaptation from S2 and missed so many imp panels from manga , and manga panels are so well detailed that i almost feel sorry for tokyo ghoul :(

The point I'm getting to is everyone knows the awards are a popularity contest and the early reception to Mushoku Tensei hurt that popularity quite a bit.

i was so heart broken when fruits basket season 3 didn't win best drama or best romance it was literally so good. The voice actors/actresses did such a good job and the animators did amazing. The story line was so good and usually i prefer to read manga but the fruits basket reboot was so much better than the manga in my opinion and it completely blew me away. I was literally crying tears of joy by the end of it and it is probably one of my favorite anime to this day. Fruits basket also taught me very valuable life lessons and the character development was SO DAMN GOOD. They got the dark/deep backstory's and making the antagonist lovable and not only focusing only loving somebody but also in fruits basket the supporting characters literally made the show a whole. I don't think i would have enjoyed it at all without the details with the supporting characters. Literally fruits basket took Tohru's 2 friends and made them into characters where you could truly understand them and honestly i dont think that half of the creators put that much work into supporting cast.
Ok ...
So , Fruits Basket was good ...
But I don't think it Could have beat Horimiya ...

@@dhyanbaraiya8a790 Well everybody has their own opinion :)
Straight facts, i love horimiya but the second half of it has nothing on fruba in terms of romantic development and def best drama. But of course that generic slice of life that gets popular every year then forgotten the next beats an anime that was so beloved and criticality loved it got a reboot despite the manga being long over. No hate on those generics i love most of them but lmk if you actually think komi, nagatoro, or even dress up darling will be remotely as well crafted by their endings as fruba they are almost even different genres

I do agree that Mushoko Tensei probably had better animation than the Demon Slayer movie, but the whole "Movie quality animation vs. tv series animation" statement doesn't really hold up anymore given Demon Slayer season 2 being absolutely insanely animated and is honestly better animated than the movie.
That's only because the animation studio got a bigger budget after the success of the 1st season. Mushoku tensei is a brand new anime from a brand new company. So it's no the same at all.
@@infinitesession5439 they actually have the same buget they just know how to use it better
@@KolbyML I somewhat agree, but at the same time I do see how he can be put into the antagonist category. He becomes adversary to nearly every group/person in the show. This has continued into the current season as well
@@Henry-qt3py no most of the story is told from Eren's perspective he is just the protagonist, it doesn't matter how evil his actions are the story is still told mostly from his perspective thus making him the protagonist, the antoganist is someone who opposes the protagonist, it doesn't matter how good or evil the antoganist is as long as they are opposing the protagonist then they are the antoganist, for example let's say DC made a comic series told from the perspective of the Joker then Joker would be the protagonist of that series and Batman would be the antagonist of that series since Batman is th main force opposing the Joker
@@human9073 I would say that first of all, the story isn't told from his perspective. It is mainly from an objective viewpoint to my understanding; we don't know what Eren or anyone else is thinking and this leads to all the twists we have seen throughout the series. Next, there are even many episodes not featuring Eren and further ones that don't focus on him. The people being focussed on here could be viewed as protagonists by some.
