OMG!! The breathiness, the vocal fry onsets, the cries, and those 3 note runs I was hearing it all! I can't believe how good she sounds after not a very long time at all. That was honestly just beautiful and so authentic to her voice. Tara you are a magician. What a testimony to your invaluable knowledge and skills. I hope Candace is so proud of herself. She should be!!!
The thing I love most about this is that you guys clearly found Candace's authentic voice... When singing, she sounds like herself rather than sounding like she's imitating the original artist or trying to emulate any other singer. I also love how much her confidence had grown. We kind of think actors and actresses are naturally confident when it comes to exposing their vulnerabilities because they have trained themselves to be strong in the face of judgement and criticism, but there's something so raw and delicate about this whole process that proves we are all simply human beings, trying to be better at whatever, each and every day of our lives. Candace has a beautiful voice and Tara is a beautiful soul who has helped so many people, myself included, to grow vocally and spiritually. Much love to you both!!! I can see potential for even more from Candace's already stunning voice... There is more nuance and flexibility just waiting to emerge. Can't wait to see where you guys journey together!!! 💘🎉

Tara you continue to amaze me. You’re obviously a spectacular vocalist and coach, but you have such a beautiful spirit and a great eye for talent and ability. I am so so proud of Candance!! It inspired me to keep going and I teared up 😢 She is such an amazing beautiful soul, i hope she keeps singing or thinks about releasing her own music, or takes another lesson with you. She has improved so much, and the song she is singing teaches such an important message to the world. And seeing her step out of her comfort zone is always amazing to see from her!! This was absolutely beautiful and just inspirational to watch. From the most baby steps to that song being completely saying is an Testament to you as a coach. It takes a lot of patience, dedication, and gentle encouragement to help people learn how to turn that negative soundtrack off. I think you did a beautiful job, and what you did was simply absolutely amazing, it is just so rewarding to see someone that you’re teaching just get that moment. That moment is nothing that you could ever get tired of. And it never gets old. It is so rewarding, and I have to say hats off to both you and Candace. My violin teacher and I have had so many conversations about how learning an instrument (including voice) is so valuable in other areas of life. Like I had a teacher for a semester that really helped me with my posture and breathing, and I still practice some of my breathing exercises when I get anxious because I found that they help me release stress and tension in my body. My current teacher has me stretching and doing wall sits as part of my warm up routine, because stretching helps my muscles to loosen up and wall sits are helpful for me to feel the tension I need to have in my core and loosen up everywhere else. Not to mention that it takes discipline, dedication, and sacrifice to really learn an instrument.
I watched your transformation from day 1. Tara Simon is a fantastic vocal coach and her love for singing is so apparent because she shares it with so many. And Candace, I cannot say enough about your perserverance!! Your dedication and unwillingness to give up is inspiring, to say the least. I'd never heard the song you chose but you made me love it. The lyrics fit in many lives of those of us who sometimes feel so alone. But I think it wasn't just what I've mentioned already that captivated me. Your words of self-awareness are so profound and so very honest and true!!! We have known you as a celebrity since your younger years and we've watched you grow up into the beautiful heart and soul that you truly are. You seem so down-to-earth and we love that about you too. Thank you for being brave enough to put your vulnerability to the test. I am certain it will inspire others who see you as just one of us to do the same!!! Thank you, Candace. Please keep singing.
