You have ruined me. I love my Volair Sim Cockpit so much that I look forward all day for when I can get into it. It is an amazing piece of equipment and makes flight simming a real enjoyment. I also use it to just sit back and watch movies, since I have a big screen monitor attached, instead of three smaller monitors. It's so comfortable!
Missing instructions between step 7 and 8. Step 7 ends without the control sliders on the base mounted. Step 8 starts with putting the sliders on the chair, however the sliders on the base are already in place.
The seat install is a terrible design. That’s why he does not show it in the video. It will scare customers away. The flange lug nut should be built into the channel of the seat
Just finished setting it up, but once I started installing 3 LG wide screen monitors, I noticed the brackets were too big as it was covering all the HDMI plugs on monitor as LG has them on the side instead of the bottom, so the bracket covers all the plugs. I have to make a cut out on all the monitor mounts to expose the LG plug ins. Very frustrating.
Good to see you doing so well Bart. I love mine. Car sims Combat to Air sim's it does them all. Thank you for inventing this. Glad to see you sold out ;)
I received a faulty model where I couldn't even get past step 2 where the rudder board has to line up with the upside down monitor base. Completely off welds where the female bolt end does not line up with rudder board
Ignore my previous comments/questions (if read) helped if I finished watching the videos first... my question was answered. Look forward to purchasing one of these soon!
I am from the UK and if i buy it from abroad then the postage cost is more than the price. I was wondering if there is any way of me buying this from the UK. PLEASE HELP!!!!
The nut will be tightly wedged in the channel. You may want to use pliers to push it in place. Alternatively you can run the bolt from the top - it really does not matter one way or the other.
Hey Bart is it normal for the left leg of the monitor stand to be a little shorter than the right leg? The tubes that slide into the base that is... Building mine now so far so good.
Got it but I'm having the damnedest time getting my monitors to line up. That's my only remaining issue. Seems like there is a tad to much play in the bars and when I tighten it they either twist or sag to one side. Any tips? Thanks.
Voluntary Insubordinate Yes, there is a little trick involved. Try to loosen all bolts, including the VESA ones, then have someone help hold the monitors in position, then tighten things carefully. Send us contact request with phone number via our web site and we can call you to walk you through it.
***** Not a dumb question at all. Yes, we've had customers successfully mount single large TVs. Note that our VESA mount max size is 200mmx200mm and these large TVs sometimes have 400mmx400mm so you may have to buy an adapter. Other that that, you should be all set. The monitor support is pretty beefy and should not be affected by the size/weight of the monitor.
Volair Sim Thank yea :D purchased on, just needa get an adapter once it gets in, do you suggest a cheap one that will get the job done? ether for a 55inch or 47 inch?
***** Amazon has some inexpensive ones. To be honest I don't have a recommendation on the exact part number. As long they can mount down to 200mmx200mm you should be right.
***** I just wanted to mention something to you. I completely forgot that we've upgraded our cockpits to 200mmx200mm for the center monitor. I guess I had a brain fart moment. To sum up, if your monitor has 200mmx200mm mounting you will NOT need an adapter. Older cockpits had only 200mmx100mm but for the last few months we've been shipping the updated design and I completely spaced this out. Sorry about it and hopefully my answer is not too late for you.
You can click on my name to my youtube videos of the Voltaire Simulator set up for auto racing and also I use it as a work station, and a first person shooter platform. Battlefield 3-4 ect...
What happened to step 7 & 8? Thank god it was in the setup book but very confusing!

Yes. It’s too complicated so he left it out . He’s a hobbyist not a NASA engineer

Thank you for the kind words. The center stick mount is now and you should be getting yours shortly.
The pedal base is pre-drilled for the Fanatec pedals but you will have to drill your own holes depending on which steering wheel you have.

Thank you Carl. Yes, we have a hard time keeping them in stock. I guess good problem to have ;-)
Just ordered it. Really hoping this is going to make my X-plane with GoFlight cockpit modules a better experience than my current standard desk setup.
Bought one of these and was wondering if there was anyway to buy and attach another keyboard tray to the other side?

This channel in the slider does not exist for the M8 flange nut on mine, also the nut is too large to even fit strait into the slider for me. Hmm.

Yes I found it easier to just put the but in upside down and it seems solid that way.

Should not matter as you will slide the center support inside the base and then adjust the height.

BTW these are Asus 27" vn279q monitors.

Volair Sim I finally got it. It was a little tricky by myself but loosening the vesa screws helped a lot! Thanks!
Can you guys tell me the shipping price for Portugal ?
Does it work with the Saitek Cockpit Set?
is this compatible with the Fanatec Line up?
dumb question, if i put a adapter on it, is it strong enough to support one 47inch monitor or a 55inch monitor?
