I say it later in the vid but his block counter lowers his tab cooldown as well. And his roots LR double click has a block frame EDIT: If you block while in Roots. Pressing R can also lead directly back into wild swing
Wont pressing R after block just leads into Counter instead of Wild Swing? o_O U may need to delay pressing R so game registers idle animation before letting u continue with WS
thanks for the video. just got back into vindictus to try him out. one thing to note is the charge attack after a left click can skip first swing, so you can go right into the better combos
I didn't know Achel has autoblock to hold for multi-hits since it never comes into play: u always want to follow with Counter after first block. There is a gap in Block-R-R- -Block that's true but u can make it safer with Dodge after second Counter. I can't say for sure it's 100% safe since the timing is very strict, but every time I get hit its because I input dodge too late (I made a record and analyzed frame-by-frame with Nohboard layout on to track buttons input), and not because of possible gap. The recovery on second Counter is very fast, u have to input dodge preventively. This way u can block Emmett's spin, Cessaire's "scream", Irusan's white lines in phase transition, Romel's mana charge
Cool video, I just started playing the game, tried a few characters and liked that guy because as you said his attacks just flow without interruption so it feels pretty good. I realized I'm really shit though, I just spam LLRR and LLLRR and only use a skill to finish a boss. In my defense things die so fast at my level I don't have the occasion to use anything else lol. I don't really like the block because there is a bit of time before it activates, like you can't just press block right when the attack makes contact, you have to see it coming. I try to get better with that
Hey i just got back into the game. I'm having a hard time understanding the counter. Is it just blocking an attack and then pressing left click (which puts you into the 2nd string of left click)? Or is the counter pressing tab? Cause if i press nothing i just block the attack.
hey, its been so long since ive played and i wanna get back into it. i loved playing block/counter chars like vella and fiona, but recently i vella seems like a different character. What are some good options right now? im torn between latiya and achel?
Achel is much more friendly with block counter. But latiya will do damage but you have to think a little bit with her counters. She’s not as “block counter” focused for dps. She has to do things to block counter unlike fifi and Achel
@@z00ko hey. i watched your laitya guide, and it sounded like the only thing to block counter is to have fangs, which you get from spaming tab which you are already doing for dps rotation. or is it the fact that sometimes you want to use the Dash active (E) instead of block counter? is there any other pros/cons you could give me?
just coming back to the game after a long break. appreciate the detail given and the way you structured this guide
please do a guide for grimden, i've searched far and wide and didn't find anything on him. And i really want to learn him.

I never use the charge attack but great…. That’s actually a cool qol property of that move
Thanks for this man I’m making my achel in just a few

I’ve tried dodging preemptively after double countering. I’ve always gotten hit in between Multihits. What’s your atk spd
@@z00ko 75 spd. I saw ppl dodging Taros's multihit at last phase in this way, so it probably should work with higher speed too

After trying other characters, his block is definitely the easiest. And his s are crazy, I feel like he's the easiest character to play

Block right click is your block into I frame move. Tab is your animation cancelling block ability.
