Cooked a pizza in this this evening and have been sitting by it for a few hours having a couple quiet ones (don’t judge cos it’s Monday night- I’m a fifo worker). It’s a masterpiece this one! Can put decent size pieces of firewood in it and it’s great to sit around to keep warm on a chilly night.
Just as well there's 'talented' blokes yourself around. Good job
This is seriously awesome mate!!
Always blown away by your engineering and creativity. Execution is spot on as always.
really great design! I love that it doubles as a cooktop. if anyone had access to a welder they could weld the slots and then twist or cut off the tabs to make it smoother as an optional step.
Spot on 👍
I see one problem. You need new work pants, Just saying. you are are smart man, hope it goes well for you, as i know they will.
Absolutely Brilliant! 🍕🏆
Thanks Peter 👍
Hey. Do you think you can make Korean BBQ table of your version? Looking for solid Korean bbq table but cannot really found good ones,
Absolutely love it.
You are going to revolutionize the flat pack industry 👍
technically if you wanted to make it flat packable rather than twisting the knobs you could design it with slots for some wedges to go in and hold it tight so you could pack it up easily for camping or something but looks great
Love it, for those who dont live in OZ, are you likly to offer shipping to NZ? Keep up the videos and keep having fun. :)
I can get a quote for you if you like? Thanks mate
This is my red sauce recipe for an 8" Neopolitan pizza:
25g Filippo Berio Sun Dried Tomato Pesto
15g Mezzetta Pizza Sauce or a good quality marinara
2g Amore Anchovy Paste
2g to 3g Amore Italian Pepper Paste
That's excellent thanks mate 👍
@@LittleAussieRockets Once you try the Sun Dried Tomato Pesto you will not give it up. The touch of anchovy just provides a balance. The pepper just adds a slight zing. Adapt to your own taste, but this is an awesome sauce when you tweak it to your taste. The little bit of marinara just thins it out a touch.
Great design, love it. Assembles in a few minutes from flat pack...brilliant. Just wondering how to prevent rusting as heat proof paints are notoriously toxic. Would hate to see such a lovely oven corroding away.
Yes I failed to talk about that in the video. One seasons it just like you would a cast iron frying pan by rubbing a cooking oil over the outside and getting it nice and hot with use over time this builds up a layer of polymerized oil which is non-toxic and very hardy.
the hedgehog stove/prickly pear oven /porcupine pizza stove. the ex wife pizza oven.
That is classic 😆
Yeeeeeeeeeooooow! What a cool thing!
It is flat pack. It’s not disassemble-able. Flat pack ikea is the same. It’s packed flat so you get it a bit cheaper and it travels
Spot on 👍
Brilliant Job!!! Although, you have just succeeded in becoming the IKEA of metal Fabrication!... LOL!
Nice one!
Love the design, the thought that went into it.
Assembled with an adjustable spanner. So rigid.
You said 2mm mild steel ? Can it handle the heat ? And the rocket stoves 3mm ( the classic ) how many years of service do you expect ?
When can you offer shipping to Europe ? Best wishes from Ireland.
My first pizza oven was 1.6 mm mild steel and lasted 10 years. I would expect nothing less out of this one
providing you keep the oil up to it and maintain that seasoned finish.
We are happy to do a shipping quote to Europe, if you're interested just let me know.
The classic rocket stove will easily last 10 years but does require repainting, no different than an old hot belly stove.
Thanks mate 👍
@@LittleAussieRockets Thanks for the reply, I will send a message through the website regarding shipping address
That is a delightful build, metal origami, artistry and craftsmanship combined into one functional design. You have incredible talent Steve. Now that I’ve seen the components and assembly I retrace my earlier suggestion of a thermal mass layer, you are accomplishing it with the (13”) 33cm pizza stone.
Wishing you a successful business endeavor. Peace brother
"You can't screw this up."
Challenge accepted. And thank you for recognizing that it is a talent. I have the talent, and the fractional finger count to back it up. It is not something that can be taught.
Seriously, though, this is terrific. I have a birthday coming up and this just took number one spot on my wish list - not even kidding. I do wonder about a "camp" version, though, with some kind of wedge or pin instead of twisting the tabs. Basically to make assembly and take down repeatable. Sorry for being a kibbitzer, but I can't help it.
What a fantastic simple design
oh man....this is brilliant! Any chance of shipping to Europe??
Whereabouts in Europe are you based I have sent stoves over there in the past.

Еще немного времени и ваших стараний .И мы увидим космический корабль на дровах .Молодцы.
Спасибо👍
Just since this has turned into the cooking channel, I'll add my two cents.
Home made pizza sauce (imperial version)
One small can tomato paste
Half the can of water.
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 Tablespoon oregano
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 Tablespoon sugar
I think I'll have to make a video where I test out these sauces!
Very good idea, I like it. Great way to ship a large item. It would be fun to try using this snap together design for putting together a durable camper shell, kind of like those old plastic backyard interlocking playhouses, but with metal and lock tab design
That would be cool!
so...what are you building?
A Flux capacitor
@@LittleAussieRockets never would have guessed
could you design pizza oven based on rocket stove? no smoking
It could be done, it would triple in size though.
I’ve been using your rocket stove oven to cook pizzas. FYI it cooks 4 5 pizzas to a Weber Q’s 1 time wise. It’s unreal!
I did however just purchase this one featured in this video because I liked the fact it can be a great little project to assemble with my 8 year old son and I’ve already asked the Mrs to get the ingredients sorted for a pizza night when I get home from work! :)
4-5 pizzas *
Got to get me one of them Solidtecknics pancake pans one day.
It was my sisters but it was great!
I was looking at some of their stuff just in the last couple of days. They do look impressive - I particularly like their handle design.
@@itsamindgame9198 I've got a frypan I use exclusively for eggs that is now gloss black. I love it for that.
Great build
Can the tabs on the front be knocked down flat instead of twisted?
I have experimented with this and you have to twist off every second one because that pulls it together tight and then hammer down the ones in between, after that you can hammer the rest down.
Top looks good, what about the base of the pizza?
The pizza stone takes good care of that, nice and crisp but not burnt.
The pizza you saw in the video was the first one I cooked, as I went along I got braver and up the temperature and the results just got better.
Nice design, Would love one that is just slot and tab for welding
Well assemble this kit, spot weld the end of each slot (you probably don't need to do all of them), then wiggle the tabs till the com off and weld up the slots, don't even need a Welding Magnet 👍
I've been thinking about what you asked, the twist tabs really helped to pull the whole structure together.
So I would twist the tabs off and then put a tack in the start and stop of each slot, you could then just over twist the tabs and break them off and finish welding it all out leaving a nice clean finish.
Great piece of design well done.
Thank you! Cheers!
Brilliant 👏🏽
Thank you sir 😊
Thats the best plan ever!! Can I get your email pls.

Thank you, I've sent a mail
You could have had a pizza almost the size of the cutting board you put it on, jus say'n. A square pizza.
Think outside the circle 🤣
Hilarious 😆
