Excelent video! All-Stars was the first Warriors game I've played. The game got my atention because of the DOA, Atelier and Ninja Gaiden characters. My interest in playing a Warriors game started with Naotora Ii in DOA5LR but it was just a curiosity. Surprisingly all franchises that are repped in WO3U as well! So I think you'd like WO3U as well. Personally I think SW4 has the best gameplay of those three games you bought, but WO3U has the best content.
I made this comment about one year ago, and now I would like to make an update on my Warriors journey... In 2021, I got the platinum for: Samurai Warriors 4, 4-II, 4 Empires, Spirit of Sanada, 5; Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires, 8 and 8 Xtreme Legends (on both PS3 and PS4); Warriors Orochi 3 and Ultimate; Warriors Orochi 4. I'm still missing All Stars platinum :( Hahaha Currently playing Fire Emblem Warriors, and the cycle is about to repeat itself (I'm becoming really curious about FE).
i agree with almost everything you said in the video except for the story. I think WO3U had a better story structure than All star. In WO3U i felt like there was an end goal that everyone one was working toward, but in warior allstar i had to save before starting every stage in case i was ending the game or blocking myself from unlocking more stage to continue the story. anyway great video
+FrenchOverlord Thanks for the comment! I agree that the execution of the story in All-Stars fell pretty flat. But I felt as though it helped to explore and expand the characters. In WO3U I never really found that any of the characters had any significant moments where this new land had changed them or helped them to develop. But as I said, the Japanese VO is also a barrier because I tend to miss the conversations in-game.
Allstars *Thoughts* the only things of value in this experience compared to other similar games was the bravery system (it goes up to 10 and starts at one every stage. the higher the level the strong you are) and getting to play as some unique characters. not seen in many if any other games. the gameplay was standard, not expecting much from ally commanders and generally needing to do all the work. it was an odd choice that there was only a story mode,so you couldn't unlock characters and play with them in a free mode when ever you want... considering that this has several endings and it takes a while to finish the story once...i would have liked to see a skip option available so you can get to the story sections you want faster. its really disappointing that there is no multiplayer. not even local coop.... as for character selection...i would have liked them to have not included most of the dynasty warriors characters...they are in plenty of games. it would have been nice to instead see more unique choices. to me they really were wasted space. i despise the friendship system, because you'd think you would not have to work on a friendship for both aides...if character 1 really likes character 2. character 2 for what ever reason won't be the the same. which just means...more grinding...takes long enough to max out relation ship with 29 other characters. this was a stupid decision... *overall* i don't think this is worth as much as it is being sold for at this time (60USD) so forget adding the 30USD DLC on top of that... there are better games and for cheaper.
If I could go back, I'd change WAS to a 6. I'd also change my rating of DW9 to a 4 or 5... I'll still go back to WAS every now and then. I do enjoy the characters.
Warriors All Stars Honestly while not a Great game it does have things better then DW9. DW9 is almost as repetitive as WAS if not more so. and one of the biggest flaws for 9 is really its open world and the fact alot of the characters unique movesets/weapons were cut. WAS still is the traditional style of warriors games and all its characters play quite unique in terms of movesets. both have thier flaws however, and nor will i say DW9 or WAS are better then the other. and its definitely no WO. but given the Collaboration characters have been cut from WO4 and given they want to make WAS and WO thier own seperate entities. where Wo is meant to be for SW/DW with a larger roster and WAS is meant as a game with a limited roster but with multiple franchises. i think its safe to assume they may do another WAS but hopefully fix all the issues the first one has. mind u no proof a sequel will happen but seems they still desire to make one.
See the problem problem with keeping your characters close to you in gauntlet mode is that if there's another team that comes over and decides to wipe out your team they will kill all of your members, but if you keep all your characters spread out, you can change to a character with full health
And story in WO is about Orochi (not to concert the world) its about to finde someone who is strong to face hem (The world is allredy he's world . he created that world)
I like Warriors Orochi a lot better than Warriors All Stars. Warriors All Stars is too repetitive story mode wise and you have to redo certain stages like a gazillion times, which made me so bored of the game. I do agree with you that WO3U is the content king in KT camp.
+SwordofHeaven89 I just hope that if they do a Warriors All-Stars 2 that the move back to Warriors Orochi style stages with a bigger roster. There's a lot of potential in the All-Stars series.
+shadow .shadow I don't know if Koei will revisit WO. But they could bring WAS up to the same level as WO. There is potential in WAS, but they missed the mark this time.
Chris Gildart true, but a lot of people are saying its a terrible story, could it have been a little better? Yes, but is it terrible? In my opinion, no
Warriors orochi 3 is my favorite because the story:0 i liked the time travel to save people, and i cant argue with the forgettable part, i do forget some parts in the middle but it makes me happy to experience it again lol but that’s probably a me issue
I disagree. I like All Stars much better. I only wish there was going to be another part, but I doubt it. Tamaki is a beast when you level her up. You didn't mention the best part about All Stars; the multiple endings. Pretty much any DW and SW games have the same endings (with the exception of "Empires") where as there are many different endings capable in All Stars depending on how you play the game, who's in your party, the side quests you choose to take, and even which missions you choose to take and in which particular order you choose to take them in. I've played the game a ton, and still haven't gotten all the endings. I do like Orochi 3, but the story gets drawn out way too long. Really early on I found myself just skipping the cut scenes and text stories all together, and didn't feel like I missed out on anything.
I've always been a gameplay over story kind of person, which is why I can still enjoy WAS still. I just didn't find the game was varied enough and allowed me to go back to previous stages of I wanted to like WO3U. I don't think WAS is a terrible game by any means. And the fact that you like WAS more than me is the whole reason I love getting these comments. Discussing the games critically will honestly help the developers decide which features to bring forward and which ones still need to be improved.
I proceeded to watch this now since I had the pleasure of playing this game when PS Now was $1 since it was the only Warriors game that was downloadable so I didn't have to use internet to play. It is also on sale at the moment too luckily which is cool. I would give my thoughts on the comparison but I played WO3 2 and a half years ago so I don't remember that much, while All-Stars I thought was pretty great for what it was. You kinda have 5 members that you can switch to play during battles temporarily (tho I didn't use this too much) but I really like the hero skills and combo skills and as was mentioned, every new character unlocked felt really great and I couldn't wait to try them out. If they ever make a 2nd one, I would be more than happy to buy it.
Chris: "WO isn't the best entry point for new Warriors players" Me, Who only knew about warriors games because of Warriors Orochi 2 on psp: uh..huh.....
The three cons that I would give all stars would be there is no new weapons for characters, 2 no unlockable costumes, only dlc swap costumes, 3 the choice of the rosters.
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is my to go to game when I’m bored. Like you said, the story isn’t there so you can jump in anytime and hack n’ slash al the peons, or play the DLC stages.
+MrDude88 Yeah, I can't really bring myself to play Warriors All-Stars over Warriors Orochi. There's just more freedome to jump in at any time and do whatever you want with Warriors Orochi.
Any Warriors style game with no local co-op is disheartening. Theyre so fun to play with friends on the same couch. This was something I was very disappointed in with the Berserk game, Ninety Nine Nights, and others.
All-stars is kind of trash. Warriors Orochi is legendary, and the main villain Orochi’s design is probably my favorite designed Warriors Villain of all time
@@VisualdelightPro To be clear I think the concept of All Stars is really cool. I just think the execution was terrible, reeks of a half baked low quality game especially compared to Warriors Orochi 1-3. I applaud Koei when they put in effort and call them out when they don’t, thats all
It was confirmed SW5 is in development but I wouldn’t expect DW10 for a while as Koei knew that they fucked up with it. Even though I actually enjoyed the open world aspect and combat of 9 the god awful screen tearing and pretty bad frame rate really did impact my enjoyment of it.
Technically , Orochi isn't exactly just any demon ... rather a Demon God. As for the 'ORIGIN Story' , you'll have to play Warriors Orochi 3 to REALLY understand it. Also , I'll have to take offence to 'the game isn't all about the story' part, that story is plain to majority of the people but seriously fail to understand that, since Orochi's REAL goal is different from what most people would think. The Warriors Orochi series, in a nutshell, is rather unique in the sense that 'World Domination' is the primary plot but that's not it. Out of the whole cast, Keiji and Nobunaga are the ONLY people who understands what Orochi is REALLY after and despite how smart the people are like Zhuge Liang, Sima Yi or anyone else, NO one really understood him. Not even his own subordinates who actually worshiped him like a god specially Masamune. As for the "Warriors All-Star", I will admit that the story is solid to the point that it actually stands it's own ground even if the plot is a bit cliché, well not entirely, but still makes for a great gaming experience, tho I wish they'd add more characters as DLC, I'm cool with it. BUTT ... I must question the devs character choices, why them put Opoona, which btw, I've NEVER ever heard about until this game came up. It's a weird move but I guess it's OK since the game is good...
Instead of putting greek gods in Warriors Orochi 4, they should’ve done more crossovers. It would’ve been nice to add some characters they put in Warriors All Stars.
The orochi series has always been about mythology, just look at the demons and mystics, with the demons being based on Japanese mythology and the mystics based on Chinese mythology, it was the logical choice to add both Greek and Norse mythology to the series, guest characters are just a bonus, the series has never been focused on these characters, I would much rather see them continue the logical progression of adding even more mythology based characters with them tackling Egyptian mythology, Pagan mythology, Roman mythology and even African mythology, they could even still have Orochi X as the main antagonist in Orochi 5, with the mythology characters acting as stewards of the Dynasty and Samurai characters, Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate is already the largest musuo game ever made, but let's make Orochi 5 even bigger by continuing the logical progression of mythology that the series is already known for, you already have Warriors All Stars as the "smash bros" of musuo, Orochi has never been about guest characters but more centered around mythology
i dont like story from warriors all stars in warriors orochi story is way more better WO1 strory WU is about family WEI is about to reabuilding wei SHU is about finding liu bei SW is about Nobunagas ambision WO2 story WU is about Sun jian is he going to fight back or just to feand hes kindom form Orochi WEI is about Cao Caos ambision SHU is about stopping MLGKiyomoryTaira to revive Orochi SW is about Sakon to unite Oda,Takeda, uesugi and they have help from myustics OROCHI story is about Orochi finding someone who can face hem WO3 story is more like mix of all of WO1 and WO2 storys but with time traveling
+MLG KIYOMORY TAIRA I wish WO3 and WAS had English VO. Sometimes I zone out the Japanese and tend to watch the action more so than the convos. I feel like more people would appreciate the stories more because they wouldn't have to read and fight at the same time.
I don't find the WO3 soundtrack all that memorable. But I can always remember how WAS sounds in an instant. Plus the various songs from other games are well done.
So are you really going to tell me that Orochi X theme, Hundun theme, Susano O theme the most epic themes on Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate are not memorable? Oh and I can name more epic OST from the game. Just using those 3 as an example.
Hey guys ,I need help! When I was a kid , I got samurai warriors 2 for ps2 And now I want buy one of this game I love the history , the fight and the idea that you have a ally army fighting against a enemy(some strategy with troops) But I dont know which game buy Soo should I buy samurai? (Good history, strategy game and massive battles )
+João vitor Yoshio I say go with what you feel works best for you. Warriors games, for the most part, are all similar enough that you can get into them if you already like one. If you like Samurai Warriors 2 already I say sticking with a Samurai Warriors series is best, but Warriors Orochi will open you to Dynasty Warriors as well.
João vitor Yoshio if your more of a samurai warriors guy/girl, then warriors orochi would probably be better because it has all of the characters from sw3 plus dw7 and some others, warriors all stars has less characters, even less samurai and dynasty warriors characters, but is still pretty fun. Warriors orochi has a story, free mode, create your own battlefield mode, gauntlet mode, and vs mode and warriors all stars only has the campaign. So personally in my opinion i like warriors orochi 3 ultimate better because it has a longer story line and more features for replayibility, but you pick, its your game, both are awesome :)
+Spectra Phantom both have something to stand on, but I personally think Warriors Orochi stands taller, all in all. I still enjoyed my time with All-Stars, but I would rather play Orochi thanks to the roster size.
If we get a new Warriors-All Stars game how about we add in characters both old and new from Tecmo-Koei's biggest franchises, and a storyline on par with the 4-game story-arc we got with the Warriors Orochi games.
@@derrickhaggard okay thanks for the information but honestly fuck corporate Nintendo, Nintendo announced Genshin Impact an uncreative game alongside Nintendo stingy snake Zelda Breath of the Wild franchise and THEY ARE UNWILLING to bankroll FATAL frame sequel or remaster?! I am supah pissed at them. I am not going to buy BOtW2 or support them in any way. I think If a sequel definitely occurs get announced the character rosters need to be expanded to incorporate non Tecmo Koei IpS like Devil May Cry Capcom, Kiryu and Majima's Yakuza, tekken series and Soul Calibur from BANDAI Namco.
I have a question about warriors all-star. Does anyone like furry characters? They seems cool to me. Its funny seeing Lubu taking orders from the fox girl Tamaki.
well that's cool to hear I too I am huge fan of cartoons and anime with furry characters. I wish KT would bring older DW and SW games from 360 and put them on the xb1 via backwards compatibility. That would be a lot fun IMO and huge boost in sales in the west.
I don't think it'd bring a boost in sales but I'd love to see it happen. Especially if they have the Xbox One X give them some extra stuff like a steady 60 fps. I have a feeling we're more likely to see an HD remastering of DW3-5 than the 360 Warriors games becoming backwards compatible.
yeah that would be nice for DW 3-5 to get remastered but I don't think that would be very like but getting the 360 DW games and SW and even DW Gundam games as well. We just have to demand it on twitter and make KT do it!
I think it's even more hilarious seeing how much trouble Tamaki had keeping Lu Bu in line. There's more than one occasion where Lu Bu just went off and Tamaki panicking. Not to mention the few times she's in shock over Lu Bu being defeated. Like... "How is Lu Bu losing even possible?"
I honestly couldn't tell you lol I really like that they included Achilles just because that was developed by the Canadian location. I do also like human Nezha as well.
I wanna see Warrior Orochi 5 but using the Samurai Warrior 5 game and graphics engine, converting all the DW9 Empires characters to that engine, but focusing this time on Egyptian mythology, its the natural course of the series, the orochi series has always focused on mythology, it was never meant to be a smash bros knock off, guest characters are fine but should never be the focus
I finished all Hero battles and all endings and all I have to say is: Good story that was ruined by its execution. I feel like the gane would have benefitted more from locking all the characters to each faction
I didn't like the way they did the story. If there was a stage select and you could go back and play previous battles (like a Free Mode) I'd have enjoyed Warriors All-Stars much more.
I didn't like the way they did the story. If there was a stage select and you could go back and play previous battles (like a Free Mode) I'd have enjoyed Warriors All-Stars much more.
I'd probably recommend Samurai Warriors 5 and Spirit of Sanada, since Three Hopes is a pretty story heavy and character driven Warriors game. If you enjoy the gameplay, I'd recommend Dynasty Warriors 8 and Warriors Orochi 3.
Not a fan of the Nintendo exclusive musuo games because of the hardware limitations of the switch, would much rather see a proper current gen musuo game like a Warriors Orochi 5 on PC, PS5 and XSX/S
@@jhon1406 not if you spend all your free time at home, plus handheld devices have some series hardware limitations, if im not home I'm either driving or working so there's no down time for Me unless I'm home, so a handheld device makes no sense for someone like me, if I were still a teenager then maybe but for an adult who drives themselves and works 40 hours a week it just isn't very convenient, plus max resolution is 1080p, which is on the high end of handheld, no more than 60fps which isn't always the case, no HDR and no VRR, no thanks, I'll play on my 4K 120hz monitor, with 1440p, HDR and VRR, I'm sure handheld are great for quick and short indie games but for higher end RPGs PC and current gen consoles are just better, when your used to playing games between 60-120fps its hard going backwards
@@mathewhosier9739 idk I’m a grown up + it’s so much easier to play handheld during lunch, when friends are over, going over places, or to cafes. I sadly never play my ps5 anymore b/c I’m never home alone 🥲
I felt like WAS is one of the weaker titles. Story-wise WO takes itself way more seriously with the dynamic of new and guest characters make the story more engaging and less predictable than WAS imo. Since both DW and SW share a lot of similarities, the direction it took was more fitting revolving around each country's respective mythologies/battles etc... which gives a great oriental vibe with a small touch of other titles here and there.WAS, on the other hand, was all over the place. Maybe I just hate having Warriors characters being lump up with furries/ weebs/ fan services....
I personally really like the idea of WAS. The thought of a Smash style cross over of Koei's biggest and best IPs would be great. It's too bad WAS ended up only including newer characters from the games that were out or coming out at the time (with the exception of Opoona). I think if they made a WAS2 and took a look at their history and gave it the care it deserves we'd get a good game.
Thing is, idk if WAS can ever get out of the anime cliches plotline next time. And since TK makes games with different genres, it is hard to get a good amount of audience that actually cares about the whole roster. Also, the poor sales don't help either. But if the series take itself more seriously then I could definitely see the potential.
Yeah to each of their own, that's why I think WAS has its fair shares of difficulty being a fanservice game for everyone. And I almost forgot, great comparision as usual :)
Lets be clear WO3 or the all saga is the real all stars of Koei, This WAS is hella weak, WO3U is the best imo (all-starts), you can see in the how much sell WAS, is cheap as hell in PS4, nobody play that crap XD.
I don't know if Koei will ever be able to top WO3U. WO4 might do well and it could be up there for best Warriors game. We don't know. But what I do know is that WO3U will still be my #1. WAS is fairly low on the list in my opinion as well. Not the literal worst, but it's down there.
WAS is not about being bad or something is just nobody ask for it, it was a waste, instead like what they doing now work in WO4 that is the right move, just bring William and we good, for me WAS is more like a weeb warriors (btw nothing against weeb people) , just to get their attention in those kind of audience , like the Hyrule warriors for Zelda fans.
I think WAS has the potential to become its own thing, it just needs a bit more love and care put into it so it can feel just as good as WO. I love the idea of crossing over all the Koei Tecmo characters in a Warriors game, and since they took out all the guest characters in WO4 we'll have to wait and see if they do a WAS2.
i still think that warriros orochi have better story i mean demons and like we all know badass Orochi story with them was perfect now we have eh .... mmmm .... ok ... well.... 8:40 we have ANIMEPOKEMONS ????????????? ok musou stars is good game but its not good tobe next warriros orochi game oh man i got flashbac from warriors orochi 3 with 8 OROCHISSSSSSSSS yes its hell
I actually stopped playing All-Stars. Couldn't complete it. I found the story got too boring after a while. It's enjoyable for the new characters, but I just can't force myself to keep going with the story of All-Stars.
I have my doubts. Judging by the numbers that came out in Famistu, I don't think we'll see any WAS characters or even additional characters. That being said, they could swap someone like Achilles for William.
I haven't played All Stars, but I know that Warriors Orochi 3 had forgettable soundtracks. The only soundtrack I remember is Arena (fucking loved that soundtrack), which is originally from a DW3 soundtrack. So I do kinda agree with you, but only because of Arena xD
from the start of the video you were completely biased towards warriors orochi, warriors all stars was going to lose from the very moment you began the video .. it was pointless to waste 14 minutes when i knew how it will end.
The point of the video was to break down the differences and explain why he preferred one to the other. If you only care about his overall opinion, just skip to the end. Why complain about it?
Oh I forgot that..well there always can be another but i doubt there ever be..As Naruto series is more my favaorite i´d love a Warriors game of it but dunno..they have their own gameplay. Or a Warriors game that has MANY characters from many series of Anime..
Hell yeah..with an FanFic-ish story..I was kinda annoyed how Pirate Warriors 2 story is Very Much like a fanfic of the real events..But it somehow works..i havent played the 3rd game that seems to go more like manga and untill Dressrosa Arc. game could also have some of the New manga heroes, like from My Hero Academia and Cast of Boruto and even Black Clover..
There is something that you are wrong About grafics Even WO1 ending looks way more better than Warriors all stars And music I don't think that anything can beat Orochis fucking awesome MLG music (also there is one special videos where is Orochi singing name of the video is (Mugen Kodoku)
I find the overall graphics are better in All-Stars. And the music is something I personally really enjoy in All-Stars more than Orochi. But, it's all opinion. That's why I love when people comment with theirs.
I feel like I’m one of the only people who actually liked Warriors All Stars. I will admit though that the story was pretty bad but I liked how each faction had multiple endings even though some of the endings didn’t even feel like the end. It also introduced me to a lot of characters since other than the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors characters, I didn’t really know much about any of the other characters even if I’d heard of them and their games.
@@TriAzF I liked it when it first came out. But after I beat the story once and started playing Warriors Orochi 4 I just couldn't finish the other time lines haha
@@kaigen999 Yeah that’s fair. It does get really repetitive especially after you finished each factions story once since even if you go for a different ending the first 3 or 4 battles you have to fight are the same. Plus each character unlock stage is the same regardless of faction (obviously not including those you can only unlock with one faction). I still don’t mind going back to it but I can definitely understand why some people don’t like it.
The Tecmo Knight is another worthy candidate for the Orochi/All Stars series. His game is a spiritual successor to the arcade version of Ninja Gaiden. Look it up.
If we ever get a Warriors All-Stars 2 I hope they dig deep into their older titles for characters. They have a long history that would be cool to see them recognize.
@@ChrisGildart Actually we did get a character from the Tecmo-Koei title Bladestorm in Warriors Orochi 3/3: Ultimate, and Warriors Orochi 4/4: Ultimate with Bladestorm's lead heroine Joan of Arc real name Jeanne De'Arc with her weapon of choice being her lance and she did get a DLC costume in WO4/4: Ultimate in the form of the costume she wore during her stint as a villain in the fantasy-themed what-if title Bladestorm: Nightmare.

My favourite Empires is DW7E. I found that had a lot of events and random things to do. I do need to play more of SW4E though.

*Thoughts*
the only things of value in this experience compared to other similar games was the bravery system (it goes up to 10 and starts at one every stage. the higher the level the strong you are)
and getting to play as some unique characters. not seen in many if any other games.
the gameplay was standard, not expecting much from ally commanders and generally needing to do all the work.
it was an odd choice that there was only a story mode,so you couldn't unlock characters and play with them in a free mode when ever you want...
considering that this has several endings and it takes a while to finish the story once...i would have liked to see a skip option available so you can get to the story sections you want faster.
its really disappointing that there is no multiplayer. not even local coop....
as for character selection...i would have liked them to have not included most of the dynasty warriors characters...they are in plenty of games. it would have been nice to instead see more unique choices. to me they really were wasted space.
i despise the friendship system, because you'd think you would not have to work on a friendship for both aides...if character 1 really likes character 2. character 2 for what ever reason won't be the the same. which just means...more grinding...takes long enough to max out relation ship with 29 other characters. this was a stupid decision...
*overall*
i don't think this is worth as much as it is being sold for at this time (60USD) so forget adding the 30USD DLC on top of that...
there are better games and for cheaper.
How about "free" on psnow
I really wish All-Stars created new models for the characters that look realistic.
Awesome video
Warriors All-Stars should be 4 out of 10. No content meaning no split screen co-op, no online co-op, lack of playable characters, and lack of modes.
If I could go back, I'd change WAS to a 6. I'd also change my rating of DW9 to a 4 or 5... I'll still go back to WAS every now and then. I do enjoy the characters.
I much rather play DW9 than Warriors All-Stars.
Warriors All Stars Honestly while not a Great game it does have things better then DW9. DW9 is almost as repetitive as WAS if not more so. and one of the biggest flaws for 9 is really its open world and the fact alot of the characters unique movesets/weapons were cut. WAS still is the traditional style of warriors games and all its characters play quite unique in terms of movesets.
both have thier flaws however, and nor will i say DW9 or WAS are better then the other. and its definitely no WO. but given the Collaboration characters have been cut from WO4 and given they want to make WAS and WO thier own seperate entities. where Wo is meant to be for SW/DW with a larger roster and WAS is meant as a game with a limited roster but with multiple franchises. i think its safe to assume they may do another WAS
but hopefully fix all the issues the first one has. mind u no proof a sequel will happen but seems they still desire to make one.
Hopefully they learn from their mistakes if they make another WAS or DW game. Only time will tell.
See the problem problem with keeping your characters close to you in gauntlet mode is that if there's another team that comes over and decides to wipe out your team they will kill all of your members, but if you keep all your characters spread out, you can change to a character with full health
I found my issue was that when I would spread out, my team would just die. But if I kept them all close, everyone survived longer.
And story in WO is about Orochi (not to concert the world) its about to finde someone who is strong to face hem
(The world is allredy he's world . he created that world)
no bringing back characters from techmo bowl??? I wanted to be Bo Jackson
+Center Progressive I was also disappointed in the lack of legacy characters. Maybe if Koei does a Warriors All-Stars 2 we'll get a better roster.
There's a lot of potential in the All-Stars series.
i think that KOEI need to make WO4 not Warriros all stars
WO is my childhood
+shadow .shadow I don't know if Koei will revisit WO. But they could bring WAS up to the same level as WO. There is potential in WAS, but they missed the mark this time.
Am I the only one here that actually liked the Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate story?
+Spectra Phantom I personally found the story inconsequential. It's not bad, but you don't really need to understand the story to enjoy the game.
Chris Gildart true, but a lot of people are saying its a terrible story, could it have been a little better? Yes, but is it terrible? In my opinion, no
It was forgettable.
Warriors Orochi 3 u has a terrible story and the game is too long just because
Warriors orochi 3 is my favorite because the story:0 i liked the time travel to save people, and i cant argue with the forgettable part, i do forget some parts in the middle but it makes me happy to experience it again lol but that’s probably a me issue
@@ChrisGildart fantastic comment Chris
Contagious enthusiasm!
Thanks!
Yup same here.
Gonna be interesting what the next musou spinoff will be
Chris: "WO isn't the best entry point for new Warriors players"
Me, Who only knew about warriors games because of Warriors Orochi 2 on psp: uh..huh.....
Yeah imo I'm the exact opposite. Warriors Orochi _is_ the best entry point for new Warriors players. It's a sample platter for the whole franchise!
The three cons that I would give all stars would be there is no new weapons for characters, 2 no unlockable costumes, only dlc swap costumes, 3 the choice of the rosters.
I'm more interested in characters than costumes
@@mathewhosier9739 that was one of my cons.
witch boss is better in your opinion orochi the demon king or that new boss from musou stars
I actually haven't made it to the final boss of All-Stars. But the new original characters all seem to be really interesting in my opinion.
story is interesting but the endings are so mix up so its hard to undarestand the story also nice video
+marko marevic thanks!
TBH Orochi would probably slay Yomi in a fight.
probably ???
Orochi was a demon king who can destroy universe
Yomi was a more tactic character than a fighter
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is my to go to game when I’m bored. Like you said, the story isn’t there so you can jump in anytime and hack n’ slash al the peons, or play the DLC stages.
+MrDude88 Yeah, I can't really bring myself to play Warriors All-Stars over Warriors Orochi. There's just more freedome to jump in at any time and do whatever you want with Warriors Orochi.
I missed an offline coop at warrios all star, it would be perfect if I had
Any Warriors style game with no local co-op is disheartening. Theyre so fun to play with friends on the same couch. This was something I was very disappointed in with the Berserk game, Ninety Nine Nights, and others.
RIP sho... I'd be happy if they'd make crimson sea 3.. Loved that game alot!
I'd settle for remasters or even make the first game backwards compatible on Xbox One. But I feel like Koei has long forgotten the series.
the bad thing about Orochi is they still use older formula, while All-Stars already using the newer one
Because the older formula is better
All-stars is kind of trash. Warriors Orochi is legendary, and the main villain Orochi’s design is probably my favorite designed Warriors Villain of all time
I totally disagree with this biased insulting intelligence comment
I def enjoy Warriors Orochi's tone much more than All Stars
@@VisualdelightPro To be clear I think the concept of All Stars is really cool. I just think the execution was terrible, reeks of a half baked low quality game especially compared to Warriors Orochi 1-3. I applaud Koei when they put in effort and call them out when they don’t, thats all

It was confirmed SW5 is in development but I wouldn’t expect DW10 for a while as Koei knew that they fucked up with it.
Even though I actually enjoyed the open world aspect and combat of 9 the god awful screen tearing and pretty bad frame rate really did impact my enjoyment of it.
it's a separate ip though.... not a successor
So, what's Orochi's plan again? Die be a brave warrior?
Instead of putting greek gods in Warriors Orochi 4, they should’ve done more crossovers. It would’ve been nice to add some characters they put in Warriors All Stars.
Why not both?
@@ChrisGildart That’d work too.
@@ChrisGildart Honestly, I would love seeing Hajime Arima, Oka, William and more in Warriors Orochi series
Pros: Has furries you can beat up. Yay

What the heck is a true Megaman?
8:55 Nah Warriors Orochi 3 orchestra songs beat those weak ass songs on Warriors All-Stars easily.
It's just my taste in music. I honestly can't recall what they sound like. I'm not saying WO has a bad soundtrack, I just prefer the sound of WAS.
Then I guess that means you are more into cheerful, cheesy music instead of epic, godlike musics.

Chris Gildart same, I'm saying i like Warriors Orochi better too
If we get a new Warriors-All Stars game how about we add in characters both old and new from Tecmo-Koei's biggest franchises, and a storyline on par with the 4-game story-arc we got with the Warriors Orochi games.
All stars should have the Fatal Frame character and Onvite Sega's Yakuza Characters to attend.

I have a question about warriors all-star. Does anyone like furry characters? They seems cool to me. Its funny seeing Lubu taking orders from the fox girl Tamaki.
I didn't mind them personally. Growing up in the 90's you got used to seeing anthropomorphic animals. lol
well that's cool to hear I too I am huge fan of cartoons and anime with furry characters.
Speaking of those warriors orochi psp versions, which does anybody prefer the console or psp versions?
Well.. I prefer psp just because I can play warriors orochi 2 and 3 where ever I want.
Cool!
Basically only played warriors games on the ps2
I'd recommend checking out some of the modern titles. They've evolved a lot over the years.
@@ChrisGildart i might..

Hanzo hattori. Got him to level 100 for the 9th time. Super disappointed in warriors orochi 4
Wish hector would have made it into to warriors orochi 3
We definitely needed more characters from Legends of Troy.

I'd probably recommend Samurai Warriors 5 and Spirit of Sanada, since Three Hopes is a pretty story heavy and character driven Warriors game. If you enjoy the gameplay, I'd recommend Dynasty Warriors 8 and Warriors Orochi 3.

I honestly don't mind the over the top weeb anime style, personally.
Yeah to each of their own, that's why I think WAS has its fair shares of difficulty being a fanservice game for everyone. And I almost forgot, great comparision as usual :)
Thanks dude!
I love the idea of crossing over all the Koei Tecmo characters in a Warriors game, and since they took out all the guest characters in WO4 we'll have to wait and see if they do a WAS2.
i still think that warriros orochi have better story

I actually stopped playing All-Stars. Couldn't complete it. I found the story got too boring after a while. It's enjoyable for the new characters, but I just can't force myself to keep going with the story of All-Stars.
12:15-12:30 And you do realize they could easily put all those characters on Warriors Orochi 4 right?
I have my doubts. Judging by the numbers that came out in Famistu, I don't think we'll see any WAS characters or even additional characters. That being said, they could swap someone like Achilles for William.
Nah I don't think so. Achilles is a more powerful character that can possibly rival with Lu Bu.

Chris Gildart ok :)
Warriors all stars kinda sucked. Haha

I play warrior orochi and warrior all star
