I agree that the Ultimate version of Warriors Orochi 4 should be free dlc for those who purchase the vanilla version. (And if I have to put a price tag I would go no more then ten bucks.) Your version of the story mode sounded like a lot of fun and at times I was thinking man if only the writing team could have done something like that for the actual story. So as someone who is looking into getting the Ultimate upgrade, this video sure helps out a lot.
Orochi 3 is still the best for me atmosphere and character wise. Tamamo has quite the interesting concept but I would love to see more of her story in her eyes
One thing I'd do is introducing Achilles in whichever mission the Warriors first go up against the Greek Gods, since he should have been included anyway due to being Greek. Similar to his intro in 3, have him throw down with some of the powerhouse characters: Guan Yu and maybe Zhang Fei or Tadakatsu. Guan Yinping tries to help but gets blown away and Guan Yu, in a rage, attacks Achilles but Achilles knocks his blow aside and badly wounds him. As he's about to finish Guan Yu off, Yinping tries to stop him and in their clash that she's clearly losing, her bracelet activates and gives her her Diefication, to which she overpowers Achilles, and he finds himself fighting against the God of War and his now Diefied daughter and is forced to retreat or saved by Ares/Athena.
I think my biggest gripe about 4 was that you have to do everything. It doesn't feel like battles are going on around you. in the entire story, I only had 2 instances of my units actually killing another unit. Dynasty Warriors 3-5 are still the pinacle because of this.
It's the same in wo3u as well, so I really don't get the love for wo3u over wo4u, it's a very similar game with more characters, yea we lost a few guest characters due to licensing but we gained about 50 new characters that weren't in wo3u
WO3U gave me an experience yesterday that put your gripe on point for me. It's 'The End of Orochi X' battle, a big final battle setup, and I'm 70% of the way up the castle path to Orochi, that fething sorcerer Kiyomori respawns and promptly starts charging up to Buff Orochi X. I throw down a save because I'm about to do something stupid. I don't want to hop on red hair (which I went and got specifically to save time traveling on missions like this!) and go all the way to the other end of the damn map just to kill Kiyomori so I can fight Orochi X without being cheesed. So I push forward, and just as I'm pulling up on Orochi X? The other allied officers down Kiyomori with zero input from me, amusingly seconds after he finishes his buff spell timer. I cheered out loud for Kai and the marry band even as I pulled up on Orochi X to quite literally combo him from full to near dead. (A lot of switching was involved.) One last special attack (Ma Chao kicking him off the platform through his swing for bonus drama.) and the stage was done. It's worth having officers that can get things done, because even if it's going to be rare, those moments stand out.
Yes!!!! 👊The potential is definitely there, but honestly, everything feels to.....gimmicky. Essentially there is just is TOO much going on. Especially narratively. I didn't even complete 4, because there were just TOO many mechanics to really have fun with any of it. I liked the overall story of WO2, and the execution/mechanics of WO3. Basically like you said, I would like to just go back to the BASIC premise of the Samurai and Dynasty characters (and maybe a HANDFUL of extra Koei characters, e.g. Joan of Arc) crossing over through time to fight through semi-historical settings!
Don Miles yeah that would be so sick. I even mean like just a DW game. i actually 100% DW9 and enjoyed it...even though it was just kind of, meh. But I would like to just see one (DW, or WO) with like an all out treatment
1 and 2 was the best and I think I'm the only one who enjoys the classic graphics, the little objectives, and how the minions died and the slow motion slays 1 and 2 is just OG I like 3 and love how you go back in time to the mystics and how orochi came to be, I do wish we could get an English dub BUT I refuse to play the 4th.
Why not remake Warriors Orochi 1 + 2 + 2 psp content into a all in one game with modern graphic while expanding the story with new chara from DW 9 and SW Spirit of Sanada ? I think it is fine and a good idea. All DW and SW release is basically a remake and expanding of the previous game anyway and it is working fine.
I've never actually played a base "Dynasty Warriors" title. I usually stick to the licensed ones like One Piece, or Zelda. I was curious to see stuff about this one, though.
I could see a scenario where Tamamo/Kyubi and Qin Shi Huang, the main villain of Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce 2, join forces together to destroy the heroes of the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors series and the heroes must join together to defeat this unholy alliance once and for all but it would be a hassle since Dynasty Warriors 9 has a revamped cast of characters yet Samurai Warriors 5 had trimmed down its roster to abide by the story of Oda Nobunaga’s rise to power. I guess, Koei had to use the Dynasty Warriors 9 roster and the Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada roster in order to make Warriors Orochi 5 happen.
@@michaelbandada8330 See, I know how I'd pitch that. "This is an excuse to essentially make assets for the next Samurai Warriors game, since we can just reuse them." The business folk love them some recycling.
I got this game during Covid and I was out of work and it got me through that time but I'm revisiting it now and trying to enjoy it without the dread and disgust I felt the entire time. It's been pretty fun. Dynasty warriors 9 was kind of a major fuckup for me because it wasnt the usual mindless arcade style i love.😢
For me, Orochi 4 Ultimate is probably among my fav warrior games. The only really dissapointing thing to me that they left out 1 Character from their other Warriors games. They even got Achilles from Warriors Legends of Troy wich most people probably dont even know, yet they didnt implement guts from their Berserk Adaptation. Maybe cause of Manga license, but i dunno. Ryu, Jean from Bladestorm and Achilles are in this, why no guts ?
I wonder what's gonna happen to Warriors Orochi series when the Dynasty Warriors Origin came out. Is it going to be abandon, or change? I think this is very interesting topic for u to discuss a lil bit.
People weren't disappointed about the news at all Didn't really understood why did you said that I mean it's not like it needs to have characters from SW spirit of Sanada Yes it would be nice but it's not necessary
I found people were getting more and more disappointed as more and more news came out, not necessarily that they were disappointed in the announcement of WO4.
I dont know if you are not active in the musou community but people were MAD. They really wanted these characters. I also think they should have added the dw9 characters. Since they ported the outfits from dw9 they could have also given the dw 9 characters a weapon set that was in dw8 empires ( lianshis weapon, yueying, xiaqiao etc.). The inclusion of the missing sw and dw characters could have easily pushed these games especially with dws catastrophical release
@@lukekrieg443 there werent any who got mad . there were some small number of people talking about - ( it woud be nice to have those characters ) but noone really got ~MAD~. there were some complainteds about SW spirit of sanada characters , but about DW9 characters litrely none said anything . If you look even now not much people talk about it but ok. - (sorry for my bad English)
Now what they need to do is add the two girls from dead or alive, the blond ninja girl from ninja garden, and Sophia from soul calibur back in, and add Posiedon/Neptune, Aphrodite/Venus, Hera/Juno and Hercules from Greko Roman mythology and Thor from Norse mythology to the game (seriously, why weren't they added to begin with?!!!!!), plus all of the other gods and goddesses from these pantheons: Egyptian: Ra, Osiris, Is!s, Horus, Seth, Anubis, Thoth, Ahnur, Bastet, and Hathor. Mesopotamian/Babylonian: Gilgamesh, Istar. African/Caribbean/VooDoo: Ogun, Baron Samedi. Japanese: Amaterasu, Sukiomi (the moon god). Celtic: Cernos, Lugh, Cu Chulainn, Morigan. Polonesian/Hawaiian: Pelee. Lovecraftian: Cthuhlu, Cthula, Yogg Saboth, Azathot. Will add more when I think of them. Feel free to leave ant comment(s) and ideas.
They should have added Apollo and Artemis. Creating their designs would have been easy considering that there is a load of art and mythology about them. Mentioning Egyptian gods it would also be mighty easy to place characters like Isis whom has sorcery powers, bloodthirsty Sekhmet and Montu the military god.
It's good to know that not i'm the only one who's complaining about the lack of customization (weapons, older costumes). Also how KOEI asked extra money for 1 variation of the color palette editor (which was FREE in WO3U) for Orochi character is just disgusting. On their laziest move ever.
I don't know if I would say WO4 has the best roster necessarily. It brings everyone from DW8E and SW4-II plus all the original characters from WO3U, but I feel there are missing pieces. They had the chance to bring back the previous guest characters as well as Spirit of Sanada with WO4U, but they didn't.
The weapon fusion is way better. You dont have to sort through all the weapons just to get what you want and you can just dismantle all the weapons as you get them
@@wastingtime2380 exactly, i always did that before except this makes things much faster. Managing weapons is my least favorite thing in warriors games
@@moomanchu608 Agreed, weapon management either burns time or stresses me out; Since I would always be like "what if I need this later", or "what was I looking for again?".
I'd highly recommend Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition. It's on Switchand comes with all the DLC. Even though the PS4 version has better textures, if you don't have a PS4, you can't go wrong on Switch.
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is another good one. A lot of people who are new to the series also like Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 and Samurai Warriors 5 are also really solid.

@@mathewhosier9739 OH agree but think as a whole I enjoyed the story of 2 and the way you played with the time travel more then the newest. Have them both though and love almost all the games ever put out.
Love your videos, but that intro is still so jarringly loud. Is that purposely done? Orochi 4's biggest plot issue was "OROCHI!" The story had little to nothing to do with him despite being called Orochi. That always bugged me. Lubu and Tadakatsu in the opening was cool and I liked it, but I wish they would have made a later stage where they clash to settle it. There are so many narrow pathed stages and forced events. Like multiple Cao Cao's if you play as Cao Cao. Didn't DW8 learn this lesson. Gameplay is literally the ONLY positive.
I'm planning to edit the into and lower the volume. I think the issue is that I edit with some noise canceling headphones and they sound alright, but if I listen without it does sound loud. So in future videos it will be better.
I love your video, you said everything I felt towards the game since it came out and playing it already. I love this series of the Warriors games. I love the collaboration of different warriors games coming together. If they want to do something big, they need to bring/include EVERYONE (spirit of sanada,all-star and previous installment) add all the costumes back and bring back the game features such as gauntlet, the switch combo from WO3U.
Hey! I've played WO3UDE and i enjoyed the game, but what gets me back into it is the gauntlet mode and the challenge of pushing it as hard as i can since the miasma level goes up and up (that is really fun to me, mowing down stronger and strogner enemies). it really limit test my team and i like that. the infinity mode on 4 looks kinda...weak to me. do you think i'd enjoy it? what im after is a fun combat with lots of content and weapons to grind and characters to upgrade :D
regarding the story i just treat each of the entries like standalones (and i have never focused on the story in musou games lol im just there for the head empty action and seeing my fav charas in three kingdoms and the sengoku period history)
Never tried the Warriors Orochi series but I've always wanted to. I'm just not too sure whether to start with WO3U or WO4U? (Story's definitely better in the former, but what about the gameplay.....?)
Gameplay is much more fast paced in WO4U than in WO3U. It kinda depends what you're looking for. Since hyper attacks and magic abilities are in WO4U you can mow down enemies pretty quickly. WO3U is a bit more methodical feeling. Both are good in their own right.
@@ChrisGildart Hm......maybe I'll just get WO4U then, since it's the more recent title and the gameplay isn't too bad. I could try both but I'd feel kind of overwhelmed, seeing how both games have tons of content tbh lol
I love warriors games wo3 ultimate was fun but after getting WO4 ultimate and trying to play it here and there I couldn't get into it. It dint click with me couldn't get hooked at all idk why I cant figure it out.
I'm a little confused because there are two versions of orochi 4 and the deluxe version is more expensive but it doesn't come with an ultimate version and I don't know which one to buy
i really enjoy this game, because of lock on mechanic, feels like playing next level musou game..dont really care about the story, as long the combat are enjoyable, i have time to spend on it, because i know that gonna be a lot of grinding for a better gears.
I see everyone saying negative things, but here is a positive for me. The move sets. Having the DW8 move set instead of DW7 is a big deal. Same for samurai games. The combat on DW8 and SW4 is just better than DW7 and SW3. That's a big deal for me.
In the vanilla version there are some repeat stages. Just different enemy/ally placement. But Ultimate doesn't do that as much. You do have to go back to some Vanilla stages, but they play differently. If you get WO4U, you should find a good variety of stages.
9:29 no just no ... Don't put mini villians like Odin or anything like that just dont do that Just put Orochi and that's it No one wants mini villians That's the biggest problem with the fourth game
@@ChrisGildart but it doesn't work WO is about Orochi and warriors and getting to know more about each other What they could have done is after killing Odin Have battle against Orochi that's it The main plot of WO4 was Orochi VS Orochi X . So why make some random villian ?? (We know that, this new villian is not going to be anything special and he is not going to be in WO5 so why put hem as a final boss ?) It dosent really make a story it just puts a new person and sais "hey this is the new guy witch we know that you don't care but HEY he is the new character " I mean would you rather have for a final boss fight : A full completed character that has been building up ever since the first game , and is the main person of the game (- Orochi) Or would you rather have : A new wizard cliche character who wants to take over the world (-Odin) It just doesn't make sense
Actually disagree here but get what you're saying from a story perspective. I'm fairly bored of orochi as a character and really honestly enjoyed the multiple villains in this, and honestly if i had to choose between a single villain with a decent story or variety with a sub par story I would choose variety as the orochi stories are always pretty darn cheesy.
I'm inclined to agree with Michael, though I wouldn't say a sub par story. Maybe what would be better is having Orochi team up with these other villains after his multiple defeats. That way Orochi is still one of the main villains while introducing more characters to fight against. I just don't think it's good to rehash the exact same army in a series like this.
The whole point of unique magic attacks is they are unique to each character, they are tied to the characters not the sacred treasures, good thing considering there are more characters than treasures, if they were tied to the treasures we would have way less of them
I was more thinking that you would have one unique magic attack per treasure, per character. So if I equipped Xiahou Dun with Laeviten and Ma Chao with the same, they would have their own unique magic with that one treasure.
I never expected you to focus that much on your own story in this review. I love it! Also imagine a Warriors Orochi Empires game (Or at the very least have a lot more customization options like Empires.) I'd buy that in an instant!
From a gameplay, cast, and presentation standpoint this game is head and shoulders above DW9 imo. The flow of combat here is beyond addictive and visually it ties with SW5 as the most most beautiful warriors game to date.
The worst thing about this game is not everybody can turn into deification form. At least add DLC strikeforce costumes once more to compensate that KoeiTecmo.
I would just like to give a quick opinion. Warriors Orochi 3 was the best warriors game. Like ever. Orochi 4 was honestly a serious let down. They seem to think we want story focus. But that doesn't really make a great warriors game. It is a part. What we want is great progression mechanics mixed with a good combat experience. If you can't do that. You don't REALLY have a warriors game I am going to play very much. That and unique mods like in dw8 and sw4-2. And with DW9, DW9E, Orochi 4, SW5. they are going the opposite way. Cutting out all of that. focusing on story. And thats more or less it. The modes become more and more shallow and pointless. Samurai warriors 4 empires while they took risks with the game mode. It just became repetitive and pointless too. They need to hire passionate people who understand what make video games fun. They need to refocus on adding unique modes. Chronicles in sw4 is a great example. Ambition in dw8xl is a great example. Mixed with meaningful combat and action that adds skills based strategy. We gotta get away from button mash to win. We gotta get away from uninspired level design. We GOTTA get away from lack of inspiration and passion in the entries. If we don't its over.
Plus no duel mode I really love wo3 duel mode when I play as LuBu I only add hyperarmor for him and my friends removing the cards buffs and add one buff as a rule to balance the game was perfect 😞
I'm actually fairly new to the Dynasty Warriors franchise, I had played Warriors games before but of franchises I had already known like One Piece and Fire Emblem. Dynasty Warriors 9 was actually my first in the Dynasty series. I was sad to see it wasn't a good one. But I didn't hate it. In fact, it's what got me even more interested in the series because the story is so intriguing to me. Having played that, I saw Orochi 4 coming out and decided I will get it so I can get to know the Dynasty characters even more. And while I still haven't played a Samurai Warriors game, I do recognize some of the characters from Pokemon Conquest. So I got Orochi 4 first day. I didn't know it had to do with gods so that was a pretty cool surprise. However, the game still left me feeling underwhelmed. Glad to see Ultimate fixes some issues but I will not be getting it any time soon. $40 is way too much IMO especially since it only adds 7 characters. Maybe if they added the Furries from Warriors All-Stars and the new characters from 9 then maybe. But for $40 I may as well buy Orochi 3 which seems to be the better one. And it has Sophitia so as a Soul Calibur fan that's really cool.
William would have been so great in this game if you ask me going from fighting demo- I mean yokai to fighting gods and meeting different versions of the characters he met in his own adventure in Nioh, THAT I would have loved to see
I'm just gonna say that I'm really sad to hear that a fan can make a better storyline for the game, makes me want them to *revamp* the entire story mode using the story you told in this video or re-release the game as "Warriors Orochi 4: Superior Edition" or something using your story idea Edit: Just finished watching the entire video, and holy shit they should've hired you for not only making stories for future WO games but also leading the team to make sure they don't nitpick which character gets the special costume or even forgetting adding old units from the previous games
WAY better storytelling than koei lmao! They have all these amazing characters with unique and fun personalities/designs, but continue to focus on the same characters and same cliche storylines. Awesome review!
WO1: 8.5/10 (I enjoyed playing this game a lot ever since it came out. It has the best story in the series in my opinion.) WO2: 8.5/10 (My personal favorite WO game to play.) WOZ: 8/10 (If they localized it in English one day, I’ll rate it a 9/10.) WO3: 7.5/10 (It’s good, but not as good as the first two games in my opinion. I also didn’t like Gauntlet Mode.) WO4: 7/10 (Ultimate definitely saved this game. If it wasn’t for that, it would’ve been a 6/10 for me.)

I wholeheartedly agree on the fucking costumes
I really hate that going through the game normally there basically isn't any costume changes
I feel like any new warriors game needs to be phenomenal. It needs a fresh reboot lol
Greek and Norse gods speaking perfect Japanese. Wonders never cease.
I think I would want a warrior Orochi empire just to able to make a custom character to play in that world.
Oda Nobunaga going full Demon King mode with an army of demons is must see entertainment
yo your story idea is magnificent im sad koei didn't have enough braincells for the step-by-step exposure 🥲
Honestly this would have been the perfect game for Sophitia to make a guest appearance in.
as well as Kratos.
Literally me since checking out the cutscenes of WO4 though some of them featured Cyborg Nezha 🙃
@@tmma1869 I wish they had made hundun the main villain in WO4 or susano gets corrupted somehow and you gotta fight him.
There is no challenge in it. How do you have fun killing everyone so easily? Do they even hit?
I love the story idea! It has the feel of wo1
I just wanted the DW Strike Force Costumes to come back. Those were epic and to be able to see them used in cutscenes would've been awesome.
So can you play with all 3 of them at same time like orochi 3
I miss the hub world in orochi 3 also thanks for the video I was wondering if the ultimate upgrade was worth it.
That new story you made was fire !!!
Subbed just now fellow Musou fan!
Welcome! Hope you enjoy the content to come.
This is my favorite Warriors Orochi game
I always thought this was an apology from Koei for Dynasty Warriors 9.
Considering people prefer this over DW9, I guess the fans forgive Koei...mostly?
It's all building up to this..... FINALLY
I started playing DW8 Empires, my first Empires game. and wow its so addictive. i just finished playing and its 4am
I want to get this it looks fun
I've never actually played a base "Dynasty Warriors" title. I usually stick to the licensed ones like One Piece, or Zelda. I was curious to see stuff about this one, though.
Warriors Orochi 3 is the Infinity War/Endgame of warriors games. Hope they go back to that one as a reference for WO5
@@michaelbandada8330 umm.. Im hoping that they make WO5 with DW10 and SW6
Using SW5 for WO5 is a big no for me
@@michaelbandada8330 See, I know how I'd pitch that. "This is an excuse to essentially make assets for the next Samurai Warriors game, since we can just reuse them." The business folk love them some recycling.
Could make another warrior Orochi about Cronos Zeus Father.
I accidentally found u, I'll never leave 🥺
I can't believe Chris ripped off Wasted Plotential. Monster.
You snooze you lose! ;P
25:03 Nah that is something that's very good with customization and that is badly needed on Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate.
They should have brought Xiang Wu,Emperor Shi and Xiwuang Mu from the Strike Force 2.
100% agree!
What is the Best musou game for co-op? (co-op campaign preferred)
It's definitely because of licenses.
I wonder what's gonna happen to Warriors Orochi series when the Dynasty Warriors Origin came out. Is it going to be abandon, or change? I think this is very interesting topic for u to discuss a lil bit.
People weren't disappointed about the news at all
Didn't really understood why did you said that
I mean it's not like it needs to have characters from SW spirit of Sanada
Yes it would be nice but it's not necessary
I found people were getting more and more disappointed as more and more news came out, not necessarily that they were disappointed in the announcement of WO4.
Masauyki sanada needs to be in every orochi and samurai warrior games
@@yonkocat also I want Sasuke in Warriors Orochi 4 ultimate but they did not do
I dont know if you are not active in the musou community but people were MAD.
@@azureascendant994 Yes, absolutely.
So, Smite Warriors? I admit, I'd buy that.
It's good to know that not i'm the only one who's complaining about the lack of customization (weapons, older costumes).
Also how KOEI asked extra money for 1 variation of the color palette editor (which was FREE in WO3U) for Orochi character is just disgusting.
On their laziest move ever.
WO1 - has the best story
WO2 - has the best gamemodes
WO3 - has the best gameplay
WO4 - has the best roster
I don't know if I would say WO4 has the best roster necessarily. It brings everyone from DW8E and SW4-II plus all the original characters from WO3U, but I feel there are missing pieces. They had the chance to bring back the previous guest characters as well as Spirit of Sanada with WO4U, but they didn't.
I would say Wo4 has the most varied gameplay of all, I mean a ton of officers, mixed with sacred treasure moves ... it's just the best
@@Hidrozlais 100% just your opinion as i don't agree with this list personally.
Chris Gildart EXACTLY where is kasumi, ayane, sasuke, chacha, rachel, momiji, sterkenburg.
Well out of all the coms the only one I have an issue is the weapon fusion. I can't wait to play this game
The weapon fusion is way better. You dont have to sort through all the weapons just to get what you want and you can just dismantle all the weapons as you get them
I don't like it because it is mindless, barely a "system" if you ask me. you just sell or dismantel every weapon except the obviously better one
I've been thinking about stepping into the Warriors series after Hyrule Warriors, but I dunno which to start with.
I'd highly recommend Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition. It's on Switchand comes with all the DLC. Even though the PS4 version has better textures, if you don't have a PS4, you can't go wrong on Switch.
@@ChrisGildart I would, but I'm on Xbone-
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is another good one. A lot of people who are new to the series also like Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 and Samurai Warriors 5 are also really solid.
@@ChrisGildart nah samurai warriors 2 is good intro
I very much enjoyed W04. The story was not the best though. A lot of people acted very entitled about some of the guest characters not returning.
yeah the lack of guest characters really did not endear me to the game.
@@lunatantric6060the game has about 50 more characters than orochi 3 ultimate, so I'll gladly take the 50new characters we got over the what 3 missing guest characters due to licensing, orochi 4 ultimate has the largest roster of characters in the entire musuo genre

This game is currently on sale on Switch. Is this worth picking up if I've never played a Warriors Orochi game before?
I would say so. If you're able to get Ultimate, it's definitely worth it. The base game isn't as much fun and doesn't have as much content.
@@ChrisGildart Yeah, it's the Ultimate version. Can't even get the base game on the eshop because it's been delisted. Thanks for the recommendation. 👍
Quality review. =)
Loved the first 3 games, never got the 4th because i've heard to many downer things, I think i made the right call, maybe I'll be back for 5.
50% of the review is chris fanfiction XD
They need to bring back the customize options. I miss being able to create a general and work my way up and becoming a legend of my own 😢
Love your videos, but that intro is still so jarringly loud.
All of this man's opinions are 100% correct. Can we get Chris to write the story for Orochi 5?
I would honestly love to see Warriors Orochi encorporate more mythologies. Maybe Egyptian next? 👀
@@ChrisGildart I would not mind tearing up the battlefield as RA THE SUN GOD
I love your video, you said everything I felt towards the game since it came out and playing it already. I love this series of the Warriors games. I love the collaboration of different warriors games coming together. If they want to do something big, they need to bring/include EVERYONE (spirit of sanada,all-star and previous installment) add all the costumes back and bring back the game features such as gauntlet, the switch combo from WO3U.
Could you imagine if EVERYONE was in here? All the Koei Tecmo IPs that have appeared in Warriors games? That would be incredible!
@@ChrisGildart Like imagine öka, zhou tai and ranmaru or hörö, guo huai and magoichi saika. It would be amazing.
YES where is all the other characters. I would love to see Warriors All-Star in the orochi series. Also Spirit of Sanaa’s characters chacha, sasuke .
Warriors Orochi 3 ultimate?
MultiSuper GamerPerson ??
Joshua Griffith Warriors Orochi 3 ultimate is basically Warriors All-Stars
regarding the story
i just treat each of the entries like standalones (and i have never focused on the story in musou games lol im just there for the head empty action and seeing my fav charas in three kingdoms and the sengoku period history)
Do you have a video showing your Musou game collection?
I made one for Musou May 2019, but it has definitely grown since then. I'll need to do an updated video sometime.
You sold me on this game! I'm buying it next pay check! Thanks

It's definitely not a bad game. I just thought it could have been better. I can at least go back to this game more often than DW6 or 9.
Just get 3 Ultimate and call it a day!
Not on pc, only through emulation
@@emulation2369 I had no idea
Thankfully they brought it to PC. Glorious.
Looking at his background.... this guy knows what he is talking about
I see everyone saying negative things, but here is a positive for me. The move sets. Having the DW8 move set instead of DW7 is a big deal. Same for samurai games. The combat on DW8 and SW4 is just better than DW7 and SW3.
That's a big deal for me.
It is pretty nice to have such a variety.
Do all the enemy officers ONLY target the player even when getting attacked by another officer?
I love this game, I personally could care less about story, that's not why I play these games, I play for variety of characters and stages
That's mostly what keeps me coming back. The gameplay is pretty solid in this.
@@ChrisGildart I'm worried about number of stages because i've seen story mode is what is. there are the same quantity of stages than 8xl?
In the vanilla version there are some repeat stages. Just different enemy/ally placement. But Ultimate doesn't do that as much. You do have to go back to some Vanilla stages, but they play differently. If you get WO4U, you should find a good variety of stages.
@@ChrisGildart thanks! i love your videos
Its funny that when you mentioned All Stars, I knew every character, but you said them so fast I had to rewind and be like wait what
9:29 no just no ...
Don't put mini villians like Odin or anything like that just dont do that
Just put Orochi and that's it
No one wants mini villians
That's the biggest problem with the fourth game
I feel like only focusing on Orochi would get old eventually. Introducing other villains can provide more story opportunities.
@@ChrisGildart but it doesn't work
WO is about Orochi and warriors and getting to know more about each other
What they could have done is after killing Odin
Have battle against Orochi
that's it
The main plot of WO4 was Orochi VS Orochi X . So why make some random villian ?? (We know that, this new villian is not going to be anything special and he is not going to be in WO5 so why put hem as a final boss ?)
It dosent really make a story it just puts a new person and sais "hey this is the new guy witch we know that you don't care but HEY he is the new character "
I mean would you rather have for a final boss fight :
A full completed character that has been building up ever since the first game , and is the main person of the game (- Orochi)
Or would you rather have :
A new wizard cliche character who wants to take over the world (-Odin)
It just doesn't make sense
I think they should let someone else be orochi or have a orochi son or something to change it up
Actually disagree here but get what you're saying from a story perspective.
I would love to see an Orochi Empires! I think the majority of the fans want that too.
From a gameplay, cast, and presentation standpoint this game is head and shoulders above DW9 imo. The flow of combat here is beyond addictive and visually it ties with SW5 as the most most beautiful warriors game to date.
Bruh
The worst thing about this game is not everybody can turn into deification form. At least add DLC strikeforce costumes once more to compensate that KoeiTecmo.
strikeforce is the best costume wise
@@freshcoffee278 Doesn't matter anymore. The game is trash anyway.
William would have been so great in this game if you ask me
going from fighting demo- I mean yokai to fighting gods and meeting different versions of the characters he met in his own adventure in Nioh, THAT I would have loved to see
I'd be 100% down for that. It was pretty fun to play as in WAS.
WO4 was really good when you compare it to DW9 smfh I'm glad they didn't ruin it to that degree ❤
I'm just gonna say that I'm really sad to hear that a fan can make a better storyline for the game, makes me want them to *revamp* the entire story mode using the story you told in this video or re-release the game as "Warriors Orochi 4: Superior Edition" or something using your story idea
Edit: Just finished watching the entire video, and holy shit they should've hired you for not only making stories for future WO games but also leading the team to make sure they don't nitpick which character gets the special costume or even forgetting adding old units from the previous games
I'm glad you enjoyed both my reimagined story and the review. I would probably die if they asked me to work on the project. lol
WAY better storytelling than koei lmao! They have all these amazing characters with unique and fun personalities/designs, but continue to focus on the same characters and same cliche storylines.
