I actually find Orochi 1 to be one the best Musou games in terms of replay value. After a lot of year I sometimes still find cutscenes that require a specific combination of characters in your team. For example Nobunaga and Cao Cao have a cool scene with dialogue in one of the stages even tho they never fight each other in their respective faction's storyline. You have to specifically pit them against each other.
Same. Also, a fresh start in Orochi 1 is super fun, whether you've played it before or not. The four kingdom modes are great and you get to use a lot of characters who occupy only minor roles in their mainline games. The character switching is fantastic and really upgrades the gameplay compared to the games they crib from. The only real downside of Orochi 1 is there's a single demon general generic to represent all the Orochi forces. Every general in orochi's army is either a fat demon generic or an evil character from the old games. The music is also boppin'.
Hmm.. i would argue that the endings are better than any other in the series. Leaving the audience with theyr own depiction to how will now everything look from this point on.

i disagree about the opening and the endings. the opening wasn't really fan serves ,and it did show Orochi the right wey. He is shown very little at the beggining because he is supouse to be the big hype of the end . In the opening he is shown watching warriors fighting and making chaos all over the place witch is something he made, and its shows that he is waiting for something, just like the narrator said he is waiting to see are they worthy to face hem. The second thing why they only show hem in the dark is that so the players dont see hes design at the begging (koei really made the best villain design ) he is supposed to be the big hype witch gets a lot of building couase of the characters, you can see how many times they mentiond hem in every scene and every moment witch gives the players the feeling of (he is the final boss witch awaits us ) about the endings its pretty much shown what heapend in WO2 to the characters. For me my fav ending is the shu ending. i also disagree with some stuff like the replayability , the stages are made so that every time the player plays them he can do different stuff and can feel like a complete different stage like for example the first shu stage (on that stage you can beat it on 3 weiys , by going in to the enemy main camp and killing the enemy, by escaping from the enemy,by killing all enemies and then going to the enemy main camp from behind . there is even some special things like if you stay with zhang bao he will escape with you but if you leave hem he will just stay and hold the enemy while you try to escape) what also makes the game replayable is that it has a lot of special quotes, also they are some special personal items to unlock (it only unlocks fourth wallpapers of the characters and makes charachers a bit stronger but hey ) - they are hard to unlock tho. that is just my opinion about . Sorry for my bad English and awesome video cant wait to watch PvC for WO2,WO3,WO4
you and me both! i never played these games i still have my elite xbox 360 in the closet time to take it out and browse ebay. these games some are quite pricey for how old they are, at least i found the first 2 orochis for 15.
I find it's mostly the spin-offs that had less stock produced are pricey, but most of the mainline games for Dynasty, Samurai, and Orochi are decently priced.
Is it just me or the musou mechanic here favor more on Dynasty characters? the Samurai character's musou works like the rage mechanic in DW8 that is why crowd clearing using musou in Samurai Warriors is more satisfying. Here the Samurai's individual musou attacks are so brief
All your suggestions would be too much effort for Koei, especially now they just don't seen to care, just want money. I loved this game but Warriors Orochi 2 was the one for me
is it just me that think the gild intro is a bit too loud? Little disappointing to hear there no extras here at all, I thought that was a staple since DW3 Looking forward to try the game but only have about 20 titles that released before it to get through first :D
What's the difference between Orochi 4 and 4 Ultimate? I saw you had both on disc or at least the cases in the background for Xbox One. I bought the original 3 on 360 on eBay, still waiting for them.
4 Ultimate has a higher level cap, a new mode called Infinite, a few new characters, new weapons, and an extended story. I would say there's no reason to get the base game now. Similar to WO3, I would recommend you pick up Ultimate if you can.
@@ChrisGildart Thanks kindly! Will continue to watch your videos, as a new Dynasty Warriors fan they're something that gets me pumped up while I wait for them to arrive in the mail. :D

i also disagree with some stuff like the replayability , the stages are made so that every time the player plays them he can do different stuff and can feel like a complete different stage like for example the first shu stage (on that stage you can beat it on 3 weiys , by going in to the enemy main camp and killing the enemy, by escaping from the enemy,by killing all enemies and then going to the enemy main camp from behind . there is even some special things like if you stay with zhang bao he will escape with you but if you leave hem he will just stay and hold the enemy while you try to escape) what also makes the game replayable is that it has a lot of special quotes, also they are some special personal items to unlock (it only unlocks fourth wallpapers of the characters and makes charachers a bit stronger but hey ) - they are hard to unlock tho.
that is just my opinion about .
Sorry for my bad English
and awesome video cant wait to watch PvC for WO2,WO3,WO4
I'll tell ya my one con. Enemy officers feel like they have iron guards! Our guard breaks so easily while theirs are insanely difficult lmao
Certain attacks have guard breaking elements. I just use those or attack and move around them. They can't move while guarding.
Another con: if one character is dead or KOed, end of story, game over! No replacing of fallen characters, if he or she dies, it’s over! Game over!
Think I may dust off my 360 and have a playthrough.
Do it!!
@@ChrisGildart I too also deleted my max save years ago so will have to start from scratch 😅
you and me both! i never played these games i still have my elite xbox 360 in the closet time to take it out and browse ebay. these games some are quite pricey for how old they are, at least i found the first 2 orochis for 15.
I find it's mostly the spin-offs that had less stock produced are pricey, but most of the mainline games for Dynasty, Samurai, and Orochi are decently priced.
I remember running into serious slowdowns in the 360 port of Warriors Orochi 2, dunno if they ever fixed it.
I never had an major issues, personally.
Is it just me or the musou mechanic here favor more on Dynasty characters? the Samurai character's musou works like the rage mechanic in DW8 that is why crowd clearing using musou in Samurai Warriors is more satisfying. Here the Samurai's individual musou attacks are so brief
Use lvl 99 sun jian and mitsuhide and watch everything melt
All your suggestions would be too much effort for Koei, especially now they just don't seen to care, just want money.
I loved this game but Warriors Orochi 2 was the one for me
Love you
I put a comment here just to say that I feel like I age 10 years everytime I see you on foot without Speedup and not on Horseback.
is it just me that think the gild intro is a bit too loud?
Little disappointing to hear there no extras here at all, I thought that was a staple since DW3
Looking forward to try the game but only have about 20 titles that released before it to get through first :D
0:47 , surely you meant to say characters from dynasty warriors 4 and samurai warriors 1?
No, WO1 has the characters from DW5 and SW2.
@@ChrisGildart Wow that is news to me, are your sure? Because if i'm not mistaken the PSP and Ps2 version of OW1 are the games from sw1 and dw4?
@@kalle1453 Yup. WO1 had DW5 and SW2 characters with Da Ji and Orochi. WO2 added the SW2XL characters and some more Orochi ones as well.
@@ChrisGildart Oh ok got it. I could´ve swore that the PSP version had DW4 version of orochi warriors. Thanks for letting me know! Great content btw.
This was a good game
Liked the video xd
Wo1 is best game for doing challenges. Like l1E challenge.
English VA…I miss it.
Same.
you forgot the techniques
While this is my first WO game, it turns out that WO2/MOZ and WO3 fare way better than this for me
However, I do love the dynamic between Cao Pi and Mitsunari, as well as the Wu ending :3
The story in this game is done really well.
