Works for me! Did this for mt swcind PC build, i installed tiny11 originally on an internal hdd but the performance was absolutely horrible and slow, i found a portable usb c ssd laying around so hopefully itll be a better experience.

1.videos regarding the laptops from 2000-2015 as most people are using those models and it is of great help
2.bios tutorials,using these systems

You can simply turn on your PC or laptop and press the F12 key (this will allow you to select your flash drive more easily)

Finding it really slow with my flash drive maybe not 3.0 (at least one of them), so far it's been over 1 hour and only on 37.5%. Gonna be patient and see how long it takes eventually.
Great video btw Andriy, good job!
Thanks, I read the comments and one guy had problems with a flash drive, but when he bought a fast 3.0 drive, everything started to work much faster.
Thank you...this is awesome!

It worked thanks man by the way i installed it on a 2.0 usb stick and it was pretty responsive
Good to hear
This is OBVIOUSLY intended as a rescue system, nobody runs Windows off a USB 3.0 drive - so why would you disable reading disks? That is the entire point...
There are many more download options today Dec31 2023. Would you recommend the 23H2 x64 version now?
awesome! i found my problem, i was trying to install on an 8gb stick, thanks!

This is very useful
Glad you think so!
For some reason when i reebooted .I did all the steps but after sometime its stuck on a black screen saying just a moment for around 3 hrs
hello sir. may i know if after activated on any particular laptop/pc, could it need to be activated again if i want to use the usb stick for another laptop/pc? thank you again for this great video and have a great day sir.
You only need to activate it once.
I noticed that sometimes they do not ask for activation (it says that it is already activated).
And sometimes it says that it needs to be activated. After all, Tiny11 needs activation like Windows.
@@AndriyTech duly noted and thank you for the quick reply sir. please do keep us informed on any news related. 👍👍👍
can you install other stuff onto same usb stick to have available? eg Chrome, or rescue software like antivirus?
Yes, it is possible.
I saved the files and they were all available after restarting.
Thanks for the video. I guess you could have the installer file of Firefox on a separate USB drive, then install Firefox on the USB with Tiny11
Thanks for watching, I think it's possible
For me on the laptop it said boot manager is missing
Put this on my steamdeck. Big difference.
If this will be for a recently purchased computer, should we still use MBR option in Rufus, or should we switch to the GPT version?
You can choose GPT if you have a newer PC
Thank you so much Andriy... I finished my installation in under 30 minutes, have not tried it though on another laptop with windows 10 os, can I access the apps and programs on the laptop's hardrive using this portable tiny 11... thanks for the info in advance and more power...
By default, Tiny11 won't allow you to use a hard drive, but you can go to disk management and change the status of a hard disk from "offline" to "online". After this process, it will appear in the system.
@@AndriyTech Wow... Okay, that is such a relief to know that I could use all my Apps, Programs and Games... Thank you so much Andriy... More power to you sir...

Hello Andriy, Good Tutorial buddy. Question, is it normal for the process to take hours, and I mean at least 6/7 hours ? I followed 100% as you indicated and DL the correct same file and I am using USB 3.00 for the Stick and the socket, sorry if this question already asked , but I have been suffering this matter for last few few days , trying to make it work
In general, this process is longer than a simple installation of Tiny11 on a stick, but really 6-7 hours is too much.
It took me about an hour.
Maybe try plugging the USB stick into another USB port.
What are your specs?
@@AndriyTech Thank you, I will try over the weekend
@@davidspencer5668 Good Luck!
@@AndriyTech I wanted to update you as promised, and I will add more comments to heal others. Basically, I followed your advice and made sure both the PC USB slot and the Memory stick are both USB 3.00 or later, and I am pleased to advise that once this was TRUE, it took 32 minutes to create the O/S on the stick and afterwards, all worked well as per your Tutorial. so well done Buddy
What camera are you using? You are really clear and the Owls are as well.

Hi! If I install Tiny 11 in the normal way and I update it, will it still be "tiny" or will go to the normal version of windows 11?
from another video MS adds most of missing stuff back in during updates and it goes up to the usual size. was stated it even got bigger at 1 point.
can you remove the usb stick when done installing?
After installation yes.
😅 Wow... I am learning about Tiny11 for my own Lenovo L430 as well 😂

Time for a new Hiren's BootCD 💿
Very interesting to me, as I have lots of old computers. A couple of questions. 1) I don't want Tiny 11 to have access to my hard drive, but I want to copy some files from my hard drive onto the memory stick, so I can access them when I'm running Tiny 11. Is there a way I can do that? 2) Can I create the portable Windows 11 in Windows 7?
1) By default, Tiny11 won't allow you to use a hard drive, but you can go to disk management and change the status of a hard disk from "offline" to "online". After this process, it will appear in the system.
"Memory Stick" - do you mean an SD card or a USB flash drive?
I tried to install an SD card while using Tiny11 (from a flash drive) and the SD card did not appear in the system.
2) In Windows 7, this option may not be available in Rufus (unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to check), but previously many options were also not available.
People wrote to me that as an alternative, they ran Windows 10 through a VM on Windows 7 in order to use Rufus with all its functions
I followed your video and install Tiny 11 on my Lenovo laptop. Runs okay. I want to go back to run my original Windows 10 on my laptop. How can I do that? Can I make a dual boot and now that I have installed Tiny11 on my laptop?
@@DHM49
If you installed Tiny11 on a hard drive, then most likely your previous OS was deleted.
And if you installed it on a flash drive (as I showed in this video), then just remove the flash drive from your laptop or PC and it will automatically boot from your SSD or HDD.
Or set your hard drive to the first place in Bios.
This could be what I need to give a new life to an old laptop but I have a few noob questions, first at first I will certainly run it from a usb drive but I wanted to know what are the downsides of doing this apart from speed namely will I be able to use the full pc storage to save things, what do you mean by registering Windows, buying a windows key?
Sorry for the noob questions but with smartphones doing most of the normal things we used to need a pc for I've beenaway from the Pc world for longer than I should
Hello, Tiny11 can request activation as a simple Windows (this does not always happen).
For example, when I run Tiny11 from a flash drive, it did not ask for activation, but when I installed it on a PC, it asked.
You will be able to save files and programs on a flash drive without problems (of course, it all depends on how much memory you have).
If you want faster and more stable work, then install tiny11 on your computer.
You have normal questions)
@@AndriyTech No, I meant when running it from a flash drive can I use the PC disk as if I had Tiny11 installed on the PC or am I limited to the space available on the flash drive?
@@Stricks823 Yes, you can use a hard drive, but you need to go to disk management and change the status of a hard disk from "offline" to "online". After this process, it will appear in the system.
@@AndriyTech I was watching your video again and I noticed something, when you press start in Rufus and that window pops up the first option is "Prevent windows to go to from accessing internal disks" if I untick this won't I have access to the PC hard drive/Local drive and be able to use it as storage?
so can you store your information on C disk or you must do it on USB?
So it's the same thing.
Disk C is the memory of the flash drive.
You can save the files to your desktop as you like.
Why is everyone suddenly hyping up tiny11 when, quite frankly, Ghost Spectre is around for years and better.
Literally my thoughts 😅
people never heard of anything other then linux and windows for casual use tiny11 ig opened eyes up
Actually
Because all of the windows 11 regiments are way to high
Which is better and why?
If I need to use the windows on usb will the data stay saved on it when I use it or everytime I'll have to make things again
Data will stay saved.
I have followed everything you have said but it always prompt the USB for Windows 11 installation. Something is wrong?
In Rufus, click on the image option and select "windows to go".

Try inserting the flash drive into another USB port
My computer is looking for boot file bootx64.efi. My USB drive has boot file bootaa65.efi. I used the portable version of Rufus because I want the USB drive to move between different machines. How do I get the boot file names to match?
Bro I had done all this procedure before to install tiny10 on a portable USB drive but it always shows me blue screen with the error 'bad system config info' when I try to boot it. What's the problem could you tell me plz. Plz reply
1) Try to install Tiny11 again on the flash drive.
2) Use another flash drive.
3) Insert the flash drive into another USB port.
@@AndriyTech Bro I was asking about Tiny10 not Tiny11. I also tried installing Tiny11 on my usb flash drive several times but it always takes 7-8 hours showing the message 'getting ready' but dosen't show me the desktop. The usb drive on which I'm trying to install Tiny11 is 3.0 and latest. But I'll try to install it once again (will connect the usb flash drive on another usb port). Good morning I've another question .My keyboard when I press K or another key give me a number not a keyboard letter .
In this case, I recommend installing all drivers.
Try to go to the site to check the keyboard (maybe there is a problem with the keyboard).
Or connect an external keyboard and press the same keys on it (to understand whether the problem is in the OS or in the keyboard).

Is that possible to run this USB device (or SSD disk) on a M1/M2 Mac?

hi what happens if we not choose windows to go plss answer it is important for me
You will create a bootable USB drive.
This will give you the option to install tiny11 on HDD or SSD.
I have a 128 GB 3.2 PNY Flashdrive i want to do this for
What do you use on Linux in lieu of Rufus?
The most popular alternative to Rufus is balenaEtcher, but I haven't tried using it to install Tiny11 on a flash drive yet.
Ventoy. The most powerfull USB ISO-boot creator
Somebody here says: Rufus press ALT + E and will enable dual boot option both for Legacy BIOS and current EFI.
I think this says you can boot your usb either BIOS or EFI ....
But now my question is ... how to make my USB multiboot with Tiny 11 and another OS like Windows with MacOS look from Harbour of Tech or a Linux OS ??
Si I can carry one USB-stick with more OSes.
I mean not Ventoy because that cannot run a Windows Live ISO ...??
Bro its taking tooo longgg to load almost 2 and half hour passes stilll loading
Which one is faster... install it on usb3.0 or sdcard?
A lot depends on the speed of a specific flash drive and SD card and USB port.
In my case, the SD card worked more stably.
Hi I just recently download tiny 11 but I notice that it doesnt have microsoft internet feature which is required to run roblox, is there a way to run roblox on tiny 11?
Have you tried installing Roblox from the Microsoft Store?
I installed tiny 11 on my laptop but after shutdown I have to reinstall tiny 11 all over again. Please help
Most likely, you did not change the priorities in the BIOS.
You need to move the hard drive to the first place.
The easiest way is to remove the USB drive and Tiny11 will run from the hard drive.
i ran tiny11 on a virtual machine like a week ago and it works well but when i tried doing on the usb as you showed it said unable to assign drive letter
sorry i figured out the issue and it was because i had the tiny11 .iso file stored on my usb and i checked the log on rufus and it said somewhere that it faild because the iso was on the usb drive. so i guess it couldnt assign a drive letter? 😂
It's good that you figured it out, if you like portable OS, I recommend watching this video about Atlas OS

Hi, I don't quite understand your question.
Do you want to use Windows 11, which is installed on a flash drive, removing the flash drive at this moment?)
After installing it can i switch back an forth between 10 and tiny11? Also how do i boot it on the same pc
Do you mean two operating systems tiny10 and tiny11 on one flash drive?
@@AndriyTech No, i mean will my usb act as a hard disk? Because i have a pc that lets me switch between the hard disks that are within the computer, example;
Windows 10 - 1st Hard disk
Tiny11 - 2nd hard disk
By switching i mean to have those 2 os in my pc so i dont lose my old data
@@nachulix The portable version of Tiny is loaded similarly to Windows.
Data will not be lost.
When you are Running Tiny11 from a flash drive, you will not see your first hard drive in the system until you activate it yourself (to get access can go to disk management and change the status of a hard disk from "offline" to "online". After this process, it will appear in the system.) So it will be physically difficult to delete data from it if you do not activate it yourself.
Despite everything I wrote, I recommend you make a backup of your data in any case
i use it but cant install facebook at microsoft store
Why does tiny 11 to go take so long to install from rufus

When I got a new Stick which was indeed tested as USB 3.00 , the creation took 32 minutes only. When the stick was inserted in a TRUE USB 3.0 slot on PC or Lap Top, the software worked perfectly as shown by our friend Andriy . if you follow 100% and you make sure both the stick and slot are USB 3.00, then no issues.
