    Nice explanation :) I was definitely using too much side chain for the Bass :) Can you recommend any free transient shaper plugin?

      Thank you! As i said, its really also a matter of taste. For A Free Transient Shaper, I've used the BitterSweet by Flux, its a very simple interface with one knob. That works quite nicely for subtle changes...
