I knew you'd like it! :) Big torque, no transmission hunting, one pedal driving, and a quiet ride with the superb stereo makes for an amazing daily. Biggest cons are the expensive tires and wear, weird controls and display, expensive to tint the rear window properly, and no android auto/apple car play. I also got the roof shades for my model y.
Model Y LR is the best car Tesla makes. There is no other better daily driver I can think of. I have Zero complaints and if it’s like my city there are free chargers everywhere.
Oh wow I didn't know you were looking at this or I would have recommended.. I just got a Tesla Model 3 Performance and I love it. I just came from a 2009 Honda Civic Si and this Tesla feels just as light and nimble. I don't think it's ONLY acceleration that makes this car special.
I have a ‘22 M3P, will buy the S Plaid next. I love the minimalist design and the effortless acceleration in Tesla’s and I don’t really miss the sound of an engine, nor the maintenance. But I have 3 other vehicles that are all ICE, so if the Tesla was my only car I might not feel the same way. I still love ICE, but the Tesla is the most enjoyable car I’ve owned.
Test drove new model 3 performance and fell in love, also like the fact you can just fill up at home and leave with a full charge. Thinking about selling my ctsv to get the model 3 p especially since I qualify for the 7500 tax credit. Heard they can do like 10.6 at 128mph with lightweight wheels.
They're very impressive for sure. However, I don't know how I'd feel having one as my only car. I still like having the option to drive a fun gas powered car.
How is the long range dual motor compared to the performance since you said you have driven all models? Also with the suspension dynamics on the performance being modifiable is that comparable to the long range dual motor or is it more stiff and not good for a daily? I’m in between choosing from these 2 and I can’t decide what I want. I want the performance for the speed and looks and other goodies but I also want a comfortable ride.
They both ride similar. I’d suggest test driving both. I’ll eventually have a video on the performance and also my reasoning for picking the long range AWD
If you can afford this as your 2nd car/daily I think it's a great choice. I have had a very short blast in a duel motor and although it did lack soul etc etc it was hilariously quick but also very civilised.
Tesla, I must admit, has a great product, but delivery has been underwhelming 3 times. But I love the product and will continue to buy as long as it remains the best ev you can purchase
The best performance for dollar car rn is the new m3p. You can get them for less than 47k brand new. I owe 45k on it, Does ride more hard bc of 20inch instead of 18’s. But the long range is also very good. Both great daily drivers I own a m3p and it’s lots of fun and smooth and waste like 15 bucks a week of ⚡️ (gas). Coming from a 350z. It’s a big difference for a daily driver. But I’m also going to get an M2 G87 or Q80
Bro got an M2 and RS3 and is still open minded, take notes. I used to daily a Trackhawk but now I got the M3P. Joy of driving ain't the same, but man does it make driving so chill.
I like cheap cars with bulletproof engines and low insurance costs for a daily and don't care about tech...9th gen Honda Accord, 2014-2015 Q50...problem with EVs is crazy depreciation. A Chinese EV for 12k would be appealing. Model 3 P is 40k?
I just sold a model 3 for a MK8 R, trust me you will get bored of the acceleration after a week or so. Build quality on Teslas does not compare to VAG/BMW cars. Also insurance on Teslas is insane so (at least in my situation) you don't even save on gas.
@@JVette01 I gotcha, it wasn’t for me but leasing would definitely be the best way to do it to try it out for a couple years and not lose on the crazy depreciation My insurance halved even with the R being worth more which is crazy.
Two negative things stand out right away, the infotainment screen appears to be angled towards the passenger seat and the open sun roof. Why don't you lease a Mach E being you work for a Ford dealer. Better yet get a killer deal on a base 24 mustang GT and start modding it on your channel.
Since you're looking to lease an EV sedan have a look at the Ioniq 6, i know they had a tempting lease deal at some point that made it a bargain. Might still be in place.
Nice, I think some EV's are cool but I personally would never buy an EV from Elon. That guy is such a con artist Gonna stick with ice vehicles till the time is over. That being said I do hope you enjoy it. Be careful of the phantom breaking issue. I seen a ton of videos of people loving their Teslas at first then go on to make a video on why they got rid of it. hehe we shall see which camp you youll land in a few months with it. Either way its fun content for us viewers!
Tons of teslas over 100/200/300k miles. And that’s on the old tech. I’d be leasing anyway so I doubt I’d have any problems in 2 year lol so idc what happens 10 years from now
U better like this alot becuase u will lose ur ass in just a couple months resale wise. I just hate the no HUD and gauge cluster screen. Makes it look like a $5k company car 😂.. exterior is just as bland and boring
hard to beat an EV for daily driver! one pedal driving, charge at home, quick acceleration
It's definitely a great choice for a daily for sure.

20%-100% is the same performance according to Tesla but yeah that LR would smoke an RS3 in the heat or cold
how’s the sound system in the m2?
It’s good imo. Clear, good bass, and doesn’t rattle the interior.

Doesn’t hurt to explore options! I would prefer to have a gas powered car as well in the fleet though.
Still trying to get my head around dumping the RS3 but that is MY issue...; )
It’s a shame the Forte GT was too small haha. The Tesla seems very compelling tbh
What do you think of the M340i?
Great car! More expensive than what I want to spend for a used car though. New it’s like the same price as my m2 so that doesn’t make sense
What's the horsepower ? I see a lot of answers online
I believe it's 394. Feels like way more though

Leasing it. I wouldn’t buy it for that reason
@@JVette01depends on the incentives you get. Carmax is still offering me 2k more than what I paid for the car brand new.
I don’t qualify for the tax credit and Nevada doesn’t have any rebates for EV’s

Too expensive for what I’m using it for. Honestly a base would be fine too

I don’t like the Mach e. I had one for a month as a demo. As far as the mustang idea, no because I already had one and the s650 is not much different
I remember you said before you don’t want an EV for daily before, what changed your mind?
It works for exactly what I need
get the performance as daily
Good suggestion, but overkill for what I'm using it for. This one is plenty fast enough.
Get a wrx tr!
would you like to try Model 3 accessories? we would like to make collaboration with you.
Thought you were dead set against getting an EV!

A great appliance
@@speeddemonRS3An appliance that can’t be beat in performance for the money 😅

Very low 12 second car with one foot driving. If it was a hatch like the S, I would own one.

I'd lease so resale value doesn't matter. It can be worth 10k by the time I'm done with it and it won't affect me at all as I'd just turn it back in.
