I was recently recommended this game and seeing this video just pushed me further to want to play it and experience this insane journey they created. I miss when games werent afraid to experiment with new mechanics and mesh artsyles, it gives the medium its own standout moment. I would love to find more stuff like this and koudelka, such cool finds
Great Review, thanks for not spoiling the story, because yes, this is something to be experienced, because if someone doesn't like it, maybe play some sports game or something. it was a thing of its time.
There is definitely a hint about the masks. In the London Rats Hideout, you can get a key item, which iirc is called the "Oath Grail". It hints at how to easily defeat the four masks. That hint got me the Good Ending the first time I played when I was 12
Great video! Please do play the sequel too. I think it is leaps and bounds above the first one in almost every way, and rightfully one of the best PS2 RPGs on many best of lists.
This feels like a very stupid, weird and extremly lovley I would gladly play. (If I can get my grabby little Hands on it) Also glad to know the lesson of the game is: "No matter if you kill God, War still happens!"

@@saruki0132 … sorry, but there is a spoiler section. The ending was too wacky to not talk about.
