Thank you so much. Yall bring happiness to this homebound Texan. Out of all of the UA-camrs I watch your family is just so great no matter when there’s a bad time or a good time you’re always all smiling and joking. Thank you so much to you all. Yall are a true Blessing
Thanks for another great video Amy and Dougo and Chet and family. It was interesting and enjoyable. Wow. I agree with you Amy, it is a struggle bus type situation. Seems the dock and boat lift get harder and harder to put in the water each year. Just a suggestion. Lots of people hire it out to people that have special equipment to put the dock in and out of the water. Just a thought!!!!!! I have helped friends do this and it is not easy I know. Dougo’s thoughts on the lake water level changing is so true. Then you have to re-adjust the dock. Lots of work really. Oh my. Looks easy but it is not. Well, glad you got it in the water and about ready to go except for the deck boards themselves. About ready to use. Thanks for your hard work Dougo and Chet. Thanks for the filming work Amy. You all take care. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I'm glad I'm not the only wife that gets the chairs out to watch the events. My mom found some of my old shoes and planted flowers in them. It was cute. God bless.
Oh boy, the old shoes, it reminded me of a winter day when I was a kid. Mom was going through the entry way closet cleaning out stuff that wasn't being worn anymore, old coats, boots, shoes, you name it. Dad was going to town so I went along to avoid the closet cleaning detail. When dad and I returned home there were flames and black smoke belching from the stovepipe. We had a cheap Ben Franklin wood stove in the family room, parts of it were red hot. Mom had dumped a box of old tennis shoes into the stove to get rid of them. She closed the damper as tightly as she could, but there was no shutting it down once those shoes got going. Dad got in the attic with a hose and I was on the roof with a hose spraying water. What a day, fortunately there was no damage to the house. No more burning of shoes in the stove after that.
Oh, Dougo & Chet! You are both such hard workers, i hate that you had so many issues! It was great to see Larry, Melvin, Toby, Jean & Stone! I hope you at least roasted some hot dogs on a beautiful day! ❤
I wish it all would have gone better for Chet and his father Although it's great to see him working together. We do have a lot of floating docks And rails Where you can pull your boat right in and out At anytime down here in the Ozarks Would be glad to send pics for idea's. Take care be safe
My grandfather at Christopher Lake in Saskatchewan rigged up a track system and a gas motor to winch the old boat up at the lake. It was something to behold. 😊
guys great to see all of you out there together, so much fun watching you all work and play. hey Doug why don't you put flotation devices on the dock so it will be easier to put in the water and it will just itself to the water level and would make it easier to set up everytime have fun be safe god bless
Wow! We got a bonus video on a Thursday!! Happy Thursday when we get to see The Boss, Toby, do🐶ing what he does best! Love that beautiful dog❤! It’s so nice to see the new dogs! Please introduce them further and tell us all about them!!! THE STRUGGLE BUS IS REAL!!!! I am so sorry you guys have so much trouble putting this up and taking this down every year! I do not know if this is even an option but I would look into it…… Do they have a company that will do that for you and guarantee there work? To me it’s just like when you hire someone to come in and open and close your pool every year. Will it be more expenses…:.:absolutely. But factor in ALL THE TIME, FRUSTRATION and RUNNING AROUND DOING THE SAME THING OVER & OVER AGAIN.::::: I think it would be a brilliant idea! Chet is such an awesome son! Mr. Dougo tries his best and Mrs. Amy is the best cheerleader…..Always telling them yes they can or what is wrong now to help figure out the problem! I would certainly check into the cost and see if it is available and just plan on it as a house expense every year and make everyone’s life a little bit less stressful! Mr Dougo will just have to remove some more trees, Chet will have to pick those rocks, Randy will have to prepare the field, Big Swede will have to spray it and Brody will have to plant it and everyone will harvest and truck it to town!!🚛 Sounds like a plan to me! Sending love and blessings to everyone @Larsons Farms
One set of waders, two man job in the water until the dock boards need to be placed (which didn’t happen because of the struggles). Great family time happens through time together.
You mentioned " like a good neighbor...". I live in sunny Southern California Where that Mr. Mayham was born and raised and carries on like nobody's watching.Unfortunately, the insurance companies are high, tailing it out of California as fast as they can.And I really can't say that I blame them. Now, when I was a little girl in the early 60s, it was popular for people to say.I'm going to put one of those high Ariel and Tennis on top of my those L.A stations to come in, I'll insure it.And when the wind blows it damn well you know the drill
I love you guys and I watch all your videos. I don’t understand why you’re messing with the boat dock. I can look at Chet and Dougo tell all they are thinking about is putting seed in the ground. With my man Broady on the sidelines, I can’t believe y’all are taking a Sunday off to mess with that dock!!
So I am wondering why Duogo has not put in a permanent wooden dock and lift. Are they not allowed on that lake? And please don’t say ice because while I understand the lake freezes it can be built to withstand the ice. They use them all over the world where the water freezes. And if nothing else then just a strong wooden dock and a boat launch and put the boat in and out. Better for it anyway then it can be stored inside
Being from Northern Alberta I have been to Minnesota and I disagreed with the moto of "Land of 10,000 lakes", its moto should be" Land of 10,000 Islands".
Lol-w have three lifts and a different style removable dock, no wheels. We hire it out, but they use a barge with a crane and lift each section up and then put it in a trailer and bring it to storage. Alternatively, you need a lot of people. But most people hire that don’t have specialize equipment.
Very entertaining but unfulfilling video. Not seeing the finished product stresses me out. Hopefully we get to see it finished soon. Stone and Jean Marie need to step up and get into their waders and help out. Chet you are a good son and a patient man.
Do you think maybe just maybe when you finally find the right spot take some measurements from a set point like your a b lines and just put back in the same spot every year just saying
@amysblessings With all the big equipment Doug and Chet have at their disposal, there must be a system out there they could push in the lake come spring and pull out before freeze up.
Thank you so much. Yall bring happiness to this homebound Texan. Out of all of the UA-camrs I watch your family is just so great no matter when there’s a bad time or a good time you’re always all smiling and joking. Thank you so much to you all. Yall are a true Blessing
We need to see more of Stone, Amy - he is greatly missed on these videos. He is a good sport and we miss him. Come back Stone
Mrs Amy, thank you for sharing again! It's always fun to see the family when they are off the farm too.
What a fun and interesting video. That’s a nice dock setup. So cool. 👍❤️ It was nice seeing the family all together.
Thank you 😊

Was waiting for Douglas to utter is famous one liner. "Come Along" to Chet.

@@amysblessingsYou can say that again!
Great to see Stone! It appears he may have gotten a more dependable Jeep to drive that won't get stuck so easily! Blessing to everyone.
I’m thrilled about his dependable Jeep too.
Oh, Dougo & Chet! You are both such hard workers, i hate that you had so many issues! It was great to see Larry, Melvin, Toby, Jean & Stone! I hope you at least roasted some hot dogs on a beautiful day! ❤

Struggle boat...Dougo at the helm!!!...maybe after planting?

Always hated putting in the dock and lift. Seems like it went in and then we farmed and took it out without hardly using it at all.
Chett & Dug you guys are Awesome !
Time to call Carlson Dock and Lift in Miltona Minnesota for parts! They have Porta Dock there. That's where I got mine.
It nice that dougo and chet can work together
This is why I hire someone to put my dock and lifts in and take out in the fall. Lots less work for us old folks!
I live in Panama and leave it in year round
NICE!
I did not realize the backhoe had the "telescope" for reach with the bucket.
Kinda quick to blame everyone.....lol!
Dig out you dock area them it will fit in well so you have a beep entrance for the dock.😊
Here in Wisconsin we hire guys to put it in and take it out but on winnebago we have boat house we're the boat goes right up in side
Thanks Mrs. Larson, gee your camera takes wonderful pictures
Thank you.

Somebody is long-winded!!
Wow, special episode. I like it.
Good to see Melvin enjoying the swim!
Looks like it would be easier to build a permanent floating dock or lift dock
Ice is the issue with a permanent dock. But a floating dock with drive up floating boat storage is the ticket. Just pull it out every winter.
Chet, you give your Dad so much grief and he just takes it with a grain of salt 😂
Willey's Marine has the full leg assembly in stock for about $195. Ask me how I know.
The 2 greatest days a boat owner experiences…. The day you buy and the day you sell
Do the Mayflies sink in the water? Where do they go?
It always seems like it is fun with Dougo
Living the lake life!!!!
Yep
So how does Stone not get to help. Great family time begins with boating.
One set of waders, two man job in the water until the dock boards need to be placed (which didn’t happen because of the struggles). Great family time happens through time together.
Change to a Hewitt Roll-A-Dock. And you'd have alot less trouble. I know, we sell them an we install.
Time to call the dock Doctors. I see Stone is keeping the chair from blowing away.
Chet and dad have always been the dock placers, the boards are when I can be helpful.
Otherwise anyone else is honestly just in the way.
Chet you are such a good son. I would have walked away from that shit storm in hour one. Fair play you are way better than me
You know what the kids should get dad for fathers day.. floating docks.
Great idea!

Dougo I feel your pain. Nikki is in Heaven having a good laugh.
I see her in charge of dance worship and likely many other things. 🤍🌸
I think Dougo should hire him self out for dock put ins and take outs around the nearby lakes it looks like he really enjoys it lol
Lol
CBoys tv shirt.
Nice Chet
Chet, it is time to talk Dougo into buying a crane!
I love you guys and I watch all your videos. I don’t understand why you’re messing with the boat dock. I can look at Chet and Dougo tell all they are thinking about is putting seed in the ground. Too wet to plant otherwise I wouldn’t be seeing them much.
And the timing of our videos are about 2 weeks apart.
Sorry Amy, I should have known ❤️
Totally okay. ☺️👍
if that dock was mine it would of been in the scrap metal pile after the first year.. I wouldn't have the patience to do that twice a year lol
Blame it on toby. Don't get stuck out there. How's the fishing on that lake. The struggle bus continues. Be safe this year
We need "Dougo and the Struggle Boat" t shirts!
I like this idea.
Big fire there across the lake. Any idea what that was all about?
I’m sure the DNR burning grassland.
Amy and Dougo, you two would be amazing on the Barn Talk podcast. Would love to hear you talk with Torq
I have not heard of it
@@amysblessings oh my! They are very nice hog farmers in Iowa. Pretty much Chet and Doug, but for pig farmers.
Oh please tell me Chet has the long version of this story on the other channel 😂
I use duct tape on the straps of the waders to hold them in position.
Was that stripped bolt fixed on the lift?
Yes. They repaired it.
Amy, get the boat in the water, and you and the girls can go boating every day; while the farm hands go farming.😂
Dougo can't put the crop in so he has to do Amy's honey do list
At least it was a day on the beach...
Poor Dougo is caught in 2 UA-cam world's 🤣🤣🤣🤣😎
Time warp. :)
@@amysblessings lmao 🤣🤣
Now I know who calls their dog MELVIN !!
Melvin, the field bred cocker spaniel. 🤎🤍
Chest wader shopping at "Big, Bigger, and Huge" shop? 🤷♂️😂
I think Chet needs bigger waders!
So I am wondering why Duogo has not put in a permanent wooden dock and lift. Are they not allowed on that lake? Toby makes me think of Nicole
Brutal.
Y'all need a floating dock
wouldn't a nice all wheel drive telehandler be nice for that job ??? and at the farm for the yard so the forklift would stay on solid ground ???
Have you heard that state farm is cancelling homeowners insurance in California?
I heard other companies are leaving MInnesota but not State Farm. Always changes it seems.
wonderful video.
Many thanks
Parts at the farm?
I think everything was shipped there.
Being from Northern Alberta I have been to Minnesota and I disagreed with the moto of "Land of 10,000 lakes", its moto should be" Land of 10,000 Islands".
Struggle bus. Can you install a permanent dock?
What’s on fire in the background?
DNR burning grassland. Pheasant nesting ground.
chet watches CBOYS too!!
Yep.
@@amysblessings How those crazy guys get away with sooo much without ending up in jail
I don’t watch them but o have heard it gets to be something.
How do others people do put those tings in and out of the waters without the big equipment ????
Lots of man power I imagine.
Lol-w have three lifts and a different style removable dock, no wheels. But also, they make modular docks, not lifts though. You need 2-3 guys to install them.
Thinking the struggle bus has crashed and burnt. As far as the struggle boat, it sank a while back. Awesome video, thanks for the share. 🫶🫶🫶
That’s what we need to say, the stuggle boat.
😅😅😅
Chet why doesn’t your brother work on the farm?
Very entertaining but unfulfilling video. Not seeing the finished product stresses me out. Hopefully we get to see it finished soon. Stone and Jean Marie need to step up and get into their waders and help out. Chet you are a good son and a patient man.
Three sets of waders are not hanging in the garage as they are not needed for a normally two hour project. Unfinished projects are our middle name.
@@amysblessings I think the ones Chet was wearing could fit those two in there as well. It would be a six armed dock puttin in machine.
Uhmm you've never seen either of us out. Chet is very talented and I appreciate if that wasn't fully brought up to you.
Why don’t stone help
He must have won the bet😂
Indeed. And one set of waders.
Do you think maybe just maybe when you finally find the right spot take some measurements from a set point like your a b lines and just put back in the same spot every year just saying
Water levels change.
lol
Looks like no fun at all.
There must be an easier way to dock a boat.
I said that too. I think some
Companies have special floats they use to place docks. I don’t know.
@amysblessings With all the big equipment Doug and Chet have at their disposal, there must be a system out there they could push in the lake come spring and pull out before freeze up.
Why do you take the dock out of the water every year, it’s galvanized so it shouldn’t rust
The lake turns to ice and would destroy the dock.
