Man that color is awesome.
silverss onyoutube it takes an awesome ride to make it awesome. I've seen a Chevy Tahoe with the same color. It looked like crap the guy added some huge chrome rims.
ya i was thinking Forest Green Metallic like my old 91 GTA, but maybe a tad lighter? it's nice
JaKBaLL TV 91 GTA, sweet!
The green paint that turns purple in some light is ChromaFlair. It was a TVR paint option 15 years ago
Fraser Wright thank you for the history lesson. I genuinely didn’t realize that those TVRs actually came like that from factory. Lol
Oh My Goodness!!!! My first car was a 54 Ford F-100. What memories.... I really enjoyed the Show of this truck.
To your surprise and mine is that My truck was emerald green in color and looked very much like this in color.
I had to sell it when in College (78) and have always wanted another one.
My hats off to Noah Alexzander - He really did the Truck proud. Thank for your show Jay..
That green and flat bronze looks great. I like that leather too. Sick build! 🔥
That’s such a great piece. Pure Americana without being obvious. The build quality is obvious, the care and attention to detail is a world away from what I’d expect. It’s a thing of beauty.
This guy is a perfectionist yet he seems so chill n genuine.. killer build
That's one of the best guests you've ever had. What an amazingly likeable guy and GORGEOUS truck. Got a '53 F-250 myself in original factory green. Thanks guys!
Those era Fords are the best looking trucks ever in my opinion. Great attention to detail on this build. Sounds just spectacular
The craftsmanship seems mind blowing, the lines being cut off from not chopping the roof tingling with my OCD, but still mind blown by the beautiful details on it
This guy Noah Alexander is amazing. He's got both mechanicals and aesthetics down cold, and seems like a nice guy besides. Not particularly big on what they did with this truck, but they did it amazingly well.
Yeah. The wheels and overly slammed looked are awful, but it’s most beautiful beside that. I personally prefer that extremely paint stripped patina look on these (as if a ton of different metals are oxidizing on it).
Noah just seems so to the point of what he does, has done, and what he will be doing. This guy really has his **** together for a guy that his family weren't into cars. He's on target like the truck he's riding in. Great build.
Please can you allow captions in future episodes for the deaf and/or hard of hearing? Please like this comment so they can actually see this.
Agreed!
Absolutely yes, also because audio is not always great and in noisy places is kinda useful have captions
I don't even have hearing problems and this one gives me trouble. Sound mix is dreadful.
CLICK THE "CC".
Download the UA-cam app and it should come with CC.
You guys NAILED this 53.... that thing is a beautiful piece..... THUMBS WAY UP..... You can tell Jay liked this one.....LOL.....he drove it forever....GREAT JOB EVERYONE..... Nice one Jay!!!!!
Props to Ford's design studio. I remember the 1953 Ford F-150 when it was new, and the styling was clean and uncluttered and well ahead of its time.
Aufrichtig Forty when the show did a side profile of the truck..... I am damn near picked up my jaw from the floor. The fenders , the bed and the cab. Wow!
I love this truck. I think Mr. Noah did a fantastic job by putting the owners personal touches on it while still retaining the soul of ole '53. It looks new and it looks '53. Plus the Green with the "bronze" and the brown leather just look spectacular. Those seats really do look like they are the age of the truck but still fresh. I could almost smell the leather through my screen.
I love it . This is so nice. The one thing I would like to see is a little more rubber on the rims. That low profile rubber-band look on a classic doesn't look right to me personally.
Agreed
I think 15 inch wheels are gonna come back in a big way
Agreed. I am doing a 1949 truck resto mod, and will wind up spending a fortune to get modern but factory looking wheels and tires. I liked Jays comment regarding the steering column. I am the same way, keeping the original steering column and steering wheel.
21:50 Jay looks so natural behind the wheel of this truck, almost like he's off for a days work
Reminds me of my Uncle John, carpenter who wore the denim on denim and now has white hair.
An hour drive! Obviously Jay liked the truck and the conversation.
Noah, your team consists of extremely talented Craftsman. This truck is "KILLER" in my humble opinion. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks Jay for bringing this truck to video.
Beautiful pickup. That green is perfect!
Love the Truck! Great Show! I love the enthusiasm of the truck builder! Jay seems pumped as well! Homerun! Thanks for sharing!
I really love that color and with the bronze 👌
I’m not really a Ford guy but these guys are due credit on this build. Beautiful truck
I absolutely love this truck... The design, that color scheme... The builder seems really cool and knowledgeable too of course
I LOVE LOVE LOVE those color choices. Such absolute beauty.
Personally, I would have gone with more "truck-like" wheels and tires, and had at least 6 inches of clearance, but other than that, .. Freakin' Awesome!
my cousin has a candy apple red f100 he has had it since he was a teen his first car/truck. So many fond memories hanging out with him and using the truck!
The one thing I usually hate about modern hot rods, are the wheels and this is no exception. It’s only my personal taste but I just love the stock wheels on these old cars
That guy is just cool, relaxed and talks the talk, delighted his business is successful, I’m sure he’s worked for it the hard way
This Noah guy is awesome, a true car guy.
Now i need to fix my damn horn.
That rig is spot on perfect man - props to the crew who made that happen
Beautiful, perfect truck! So glad it’s a manual too. It’s very often I see amazing old truck hot rods and it’s an automatic which disappoints.
Jay great show, that’s the longest you’ve drove in quite a while. If you watch Noah’s show you can tell he is a genuine good guy and truly loves what he does and it shows in his builds. It is one of the few shows on Velocity that is worth watching. Velocity is going in a weird direction.
Please do a show with your white XK 120 roadster, I have asked a couple times, anybody else like to see that car, tell Jay!
Builder: It looked like it came out of a pond, it had barnacles growing on it.
Jay: Did it run when you got it?
Jay has worked with entertainment "stars" for decades and he is used to not listening to what they are saying since they are not saying anything, actually.
@@StrangerHappened or was it humor...
I've fired a few boat V8s that went under so yeah they can still run if not locked up too bad depending.
I thought the same thing “it was under water” “so did it run?” 😂😁
Jay is not a collector. He is an adorer of cars. His excitement is somehow greater than all the other car shows with the possible exception of Calvin's Car Diary but he's in the UK with car specs the US can't have. (not that I'm able to have any of these cars quite yet!). Thank you again Mr. Leno!
This guy does good work
Glad to see someone else into cars when nobody else in family into the hobby. Took him a lot less time to get into it than me. Wish there had been more outreach for those of us without a mechanic uncle. Thank God for UA-cam today
I'm currently starting a 53' build and I saw this one on his show and I'm super inspired by it, they did a beautiful job. I hope mine turns out half as awesome.
Where are you at on your build?
What a SWEET truck. I'm a huge fan of the early 50's Fords... Great powerplant with plenty of power for a truck that light.
Noah's shop does beautiful work! And I like his conscientious philosophy.
Loved this episode. The truck was beautiful. The camera shots and angles of the drive were amazing. And the communication between the dude and jay were overall good conversations
Beautiful work... Another great episode, thanks Jay.
Thanks to Jay and Classic Car Studio for inspiring my F-100 🔥
used to have a 1979 F-100 Custom with a 302 loved it and drove it into the ground. Great truck.
Noah good job another great example of the work you and you shop does. I like how you guy's don't cut corners or compromise on your builds like most of the other car shows on TV.
Honestly I guess that is the most beautiful car I've ever seen! I'm not a car expert and normally I'm not a big pickup fan. But that beauty is just perfect. It's subtle, the color just stands out, the wheels, the details.... It's just a dream. I love the many car shows in television, and also watched it in Noah's show and stumbled upon this clip. Just have to say that I'm toatally in love with this build! ♥♥♥
Absolutely gorgeous truck and the paint is killer
"Was it running when you got it?" If the dude took it out of a pond I dont think it'd be running Jay 🤣
LOL, he said it looked like it came out of a pond. But yeah.
Guy: it looked like it had barnacles growing out of it. Jay: but was it running? xD
Wow! That is one gorgeous truck. The paint is awesome. My 1st vehicle was a 1953 f100. I think we paid $300.⁰⁰ for it in 1965. It was a work truck & it never looked anything like Noah's work of art. I painted it Bright Lime Green and we called it the "Green Hornet". Had a lot fun with that old truck. Again, beautiful job. Thanks Jay & Noah. 👍
Great interview. Great build. Noah has an awesome philosophy and story. I wish the builder all the success.
This is one of my favorite trucks I loved watching this thing get built. Beautiful truck Noah! Thanks for featuring this build Jay!
The shape looks weirded to be that low. I think it would look good lifted with normal wheels and rubber. The rest is beautiful 👍🏾
These resto mods are works of art.
Nice truck nice color sounds awesome. But what about potholes? Can never drive that in Michigan.
*THE MOST* beautiful green paint thanks to the shine.
I LOVE everything about that truck! Except maybe the wheels.
Oh yeah?........Well don't DARE drive it around on all the REAL roads & streets found all over America. You'll destroy the underside completely.
Howabouthetruth People that jack thier trucks up are compensating for somthing... ;-)
All caps. That's good (dot dot dot x2) Makes it clear you're not a crackpot.
Truly Terrible wheels
@@fsouzajr Oh yeah, are you a designer? You guys complaining about the wheels are idiots...
Yes Jay Leno should run for president
I love that green!! Forest green has always been one of my favorite colors!
Same. And for strange I love tan with brown fenders. Earth tones are cool. But there are plenty who love wild colors and pearls, fades, all the customy paint. Variety man, it's the spice of life.
I love this resto. The color is a matter of taste.
Looks like it drives really well. Feel like some sensibly sized 17" wheels would really help smooth the ride though
Noah is extremely pleasant to listen to. Knowledgeable as ever for hardly having a background in cars. Very nice episode, guys. Was never bored once.
That rod looks amazing...i learn so much about American cars watching Leno...long may he continue..peace to ya.
Great looking little step side. Ditch the low profile tires and garish rims. Go with something simpler.
Rain Coast are you part owner of this shop, didn’t think so,so shut your mouth know it all. By the way what’s the name of your shop?
I couldn't agree more Rain Coast.
Pinsqueezebic 1 jimmies have been rustled
I agree Rain Coast. Modern rims on old trucks just doesn’t cut it.
Those lowpro tires and oversized rims belong on a ghetto jumper. Like maybe your pimped out ride?
Subtle beauty that stands out. Beautiful truck
It's just so pure. I love it.
When Leno almost exactly guesses the horsepower, that's how you can tell a *really* experienced car guy hahaha
Only he didn't guess. He was told twice in the first 10 minutes. His dry sense of humour and the guy played along :-)
@@gregcpu Oh no! Now I feel like an idiot :) lol thanks for pointing this out!
I like the way that Noah Alexander is not trying to be a show off, but rather a straight forward guy. This is how it is Jay.......
The volume of these videos is so low I have to turn my soundbar almost all the way up to hear them
Yea! Jays low and the Dudes Blastin'. Nice! Lol
Jay needs to use the closed-caption option.
I agree, I thought my speakers were dead when i started watching. could barely hear at full volume
Jerrod Justice my tv is almost full blast right now too. Audio is always pretty low for the garage episodes.
they have to know, right? they must listen to the edit before upload right?
Very tasteful build. They didn't destroy the original lines by chopping the top or other such silliness. Well done.
Thats the most perfect restomod truck I've ever seen.. incredible!
Wow that is beautiful.... nice truck....😉😉😉😉👍👍👍👍🍻
I really like it it’s a very nice and beautful truck
Very high quality workmanship on that truck, the body and paint look amazing.
Dammit, I lost out on the "We use Wilwood brakes on all our cars" bingo! I didn't hear it.
haha, you're right! funny that i've become so accustomed to hearing it i assume it's a default feature.
That is a neat build. The colors are awesome... The green, bronze and brown it all goes and its pleasing to the eye. Love '53 Ford pick ups. Brings back memories of my dads pick up going up.
Dude one of those is parked at a warehouse on my way to school. It's red and completely restored original looking. I want one soo bad!
I like this guy; he knows what he's talking about and has concise answers to all the questions. If I had the money, I would confidently spend it with him.
Thanks again Jay for going with the denim shirt.
I started working for my dad the day I turned 16 and his 55 Ford ( very similar) was my transportation to and from work, so this takes me back. It was dark blue and had sat for 4 of its 5 years in a barn so it had low miles and was like new. it had a 272 V8 and 3 speed standard again, like new. I don't like the absence of chrome on this one nor do I like those wheels and tires but aftermarket parts are a matter of personal taste to be sure.
Proper gearbox indeed!😎
maxxjett films what about your Lancia? You find it? lol I had a '02 STI like your Sir, nice cars
Jay Leno's Garage , your show puts the Top Gear boys to shame!! Each episode is great. True motor vehicle enthusiasts!
It's a different type of show, therefore not comparable to me. But I agree that it's a show for true enthusiasts because Jay is a true enthusiast. He's wicked funny while talking about CARS, not stars!
Different type of show? Yah, good point. I won't deny that.
I love the fact that he didn't put a monster horsepower engine in it like everyone else seems to do these days, I bet that thing is a blast to drive and should be reliable for a long long time.
Super nice build. Love that green and the leather seats.
Myself personally would call it, Satin Bronze it does contrast quite nicely with the green...It reminds me of old money and when pennies were made out of bronze. It's a beautiful truck.
The only thing lacking in production is that the audio levels are always mixed too low. Please raise your levels.
No the dynamic range is too high. The difference between the lowest and the loudest parts are like in a classical music concert...
As always a great job Jay. Noah does your show proud
Audio is really quiet
It is. Watch it on a smart tv with the surround sound on or through some speakers.
Jay let a Stahted out! Love it! Can't hide it no matter how you try. Especially when one is relaxed and being themselves!. True!
:50
Wonderful show Jay and crew. Great occasional humor. Super truck.
Absolutely stunning, really love trucks from this era
jay needs to do more of these simply because they are so easy to get in and out of as opposed to the exotic sports cars. trucks and classic resto mod trucks are great.
Beautiful! Would love to know a ball-park figure on how much it cost?!
Even a trailor-park figure would be nice. I'll let you now if I find out.
What a beautiful machine! I'm currently trying my best to buy one from a scrap yard that's actually willing to sell one to me for 1000$!
Found it in the woods with trees growing up all around it haha
My grandfather had one and now me and my dad are trying to recreate it because my grandfather wasn't a car guy but me and dad are. It's going to be an Amazing experience working with my dad to build a truck we both are passionate about.
I can't wait to put it back on the road!
Its house clearing time for me haha
Such a clean balanced vision. Love this custom.
F100's are in my top five favorite automobiles. This truck is beautiful.
Thank you for not being like Motor Trend. I can tell you do this because you love it. And I know you don't need the money, but we all appreciate it.
I believe this is one of the coolest builds you showcased I'm glad you like the horn I didn't notice the turn signal on though
Jay and Noha communicated together on a common level which I found enjoyable
Nice truck, sits a little to low though.
I totally agree
My stepfather owned a 1953 F100 in dark blue and it had developed some iridescence that happened to early Ford blue. It had a flathead V 8 and a three on the tree and was in need of compression rings. Thus it ran away on level ground but choked down on hills. Wish I had been able to buy it looking back!
if someday I'll Leave my wife for a classic truck,it would be for this one.
Just get a truck like this and she'll leave you. Two birds, one stone.
LOL 😄
@@garywood9525 MORE LIKE A LOT OF LONELY RESTOMOD LOVERS.
This is what an old truck deserves. Dropped, painted, and good rims. You get good attention.
Beautiful truck. And just as Jay was starting to talk about driving the truck for about an hr I was thinking..."Jay must like this one. The drive is fairly long. " Awesome colors the interior looked very supple and comfortable. Black is the easy choice for an interior. I'm glad they chose what they chose.
20:19 he’s right red is the most played out color that there is when it comes to custom cars and trucks
