This Video Was Inspiring Honestly.. I've Rejected God And Christianity Since High School Because I Felt Like There Was No Place For Me With Religion. Growing Up In A Haitian Household, I've Experience So Many Trauma With The Church. Hearing Them Talk About Gay People Always Put A Stab In My Heart. My Mom Having A Dream That I Was Talking To Men Online And Having Me Read Bible Scriptures. Trying To Summon The "Demon" Out Of Me. So My View On Religion Has Been Tainted. Which Is Why I'm Agnostic. Idk If I'm Willing To Even Open Those Wounds And Try To Have A Relationship With God. We'll See What The Future Holds But This Video Was Very Inspiring.

Just a note, you don't need religion to have a relationship with God.

Your "relationship" with God is more important than your "sexuality" in life. His grace is sufficient and will allow you to grow with him in humility and stability.
My prime example is Paul. He was a Christian who prosecuted the church. However, he referred to the following verse...
In Galatians 2:20, it states "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Overall, Paul’s sin was imputed to Christ, and Christ’s righteousness was imputed to Paul. You having a "relationship," regardless of your sexuality, will keep you as steadfast and presentable to the world for the purpose of bringing people to salvation according to John 3:16 🙏

@@doctorwilliams787 That's Your Opinion Sugar Plums... My "Relationship" With A Diety Doesn't Mean Anything To Me Because I Don't Believe In It. My Sexuality Means A Lot To Me Because It's A Part Of Me. It's My Humane Right As An Individual To Live In My Truth. Thanks For Your Bible Scriptures... Paul Can Choose His Christ. That's His Choice. David's Choice Is To Relinquish Any Trauma Or Ties To Religion And To Live His Best Life. No Worries Over Here ❤️ Have A Nice Day 🙂

I’ve been searching for a conversation/space like this one and to hear about ya’lls experience was everything. This video blessed me so much and an example of why i subscribed to your page Obie. It’s refreshing to see talk about God and gayness and it’s not about rejecting God or Christianity but rather how you can make it work because you can. I’m living proof that you can as well. I used to pray that I would be delivered from being gay, going to the alter & embarrassing myself but it was in acknowledging that i was gay and not resisting it, I got the peace i was looking for and I never turned back. It brought me closer to God. I wish more gay people would get the revelation that God loves them AS THEY ARE & not run away like so many have. It takes courage to stay the course but it’s so worth it. God is good and He’s faithful too.

Why do you feel off spiritually? It’s because you know God does not support homosexuality. You cannot serve 2 masters. Pick wisely. And, if you pick God, there is a way to live, and it doesn’t involve creating a god of your own like this guy has.

I believe there should be no excuses.. and I believe lgbtq people who are sincere about their relationship really love The Lord. I was beat up, ridiculed, starting at a very early age before I even realized what gay was. This came from people I trusted. When God put His hand on me and began to use me.. people made weird comments and were confused as to why God would because I was gay. It caused me to be confused as well, and that would lead to anguish and despair. The hateful sermons, the laughing from the congregants and the sayings about Adam and Steve etc etc. I refuse to go to a gay church.. to each his own but I wasn’t running.. the body of Christ is one. That’s what I had to learn.. who and what the body of Christ is and who my relationship
Is with. It is with Him.. not people. If the Holy Ghost moves in me.. it is Him, not people, therefore my focus should be on Him.. not people… and I keep it moving

I still believe your faith or relationship with God, Jesus, Buddha, Allah is a personal journey. Like anything in life you can't allow others to define your relationship you gain and grow from it whatever you see fit.

I agree. Every since I separated from church my connection to God has been much stronger. I have clarity.

Wow these r the kind of conversations I wanna have around religion … and to say that when gay people talk about their relationship with God is always thru the lens of what they grew up hearing

Worship in Spirit & in Truth. The truth dwells in reality, so it is necessary to not hide from any aspect of ourselves or our reality. Suppression is a breeding ground for dysfunction. Be honest with self & God. He said seek Him & His righteousness & ALL these things will be added to you. Whatever needs to be changed, if anything needs to be changed, God is the One Who brings about the change. We’re valuable. He paid the ultimate price for us, so why not love all of you? He does. I found that when I intentionally put aside the lense of people’s opinions & culture & JUST FOCUSED ON GOD’S WORD, the experience was completely different. When I started reading for myself & developing a prayer life, I found out God ain’t judging me like folks say. Not only that, but little by little my self worth grew, & my life began to change for the better. It takes courage to consistently face reality with acceptance, gratitude, & love, but we’re not in this by ourselves. God is real. If you seek Him you will find Him. It’s the safest space I’ve ever known. Now I’m beginning to understand what the old folks meant when they say you look at your hands & ya hands look new. Lol 🙏🏾❤️

A great conversation. I grew up in the church. Specifically, a southern Baptist church. It took me a long time to get to where the gentleman on the right is. By the way, who is he?
