- 18 Corvette mod battery saver. Lol a must have to insure your vettes battery is healthy and fully charged for these weekend warriors. $125 at any Chevrolet parts department. I’m sure there’s after market one much cheaper, nevertheless it a GM CORVETTE PART THAT CAN BE ORDERED WHEN SPEC ORDERING A CORVETTE $100 when ordering the car. On a C6 you can plug it into the cigarette lighter you run the cord through the bottom wheep hole on the lower rocker panel under the door I store my C6 for 6 months every winter

I've had 3 Vettes previously, but a C7 for only a month. I always used a tender but didn't realize until today that mine will not work with the battery in the back. I'll have to get one of these soon because, like you, I only drive it on great weather weekends. Thanks
C7 only 1 month 🤔?? I do believe the last gen c6 will work from the cigarette lighter if I’m not mistaken. But don’t quote me on that. These really come handy especially when the car is not driven as a dd.
@@mikejautosandstuff3349 Yes, it will work on the C6. I have a 2006 C6 and have been using the OEM Corvette trickle charger connected to the cigarette lighter connector in located the middle arm rest with any issues..
@@Holugar now I have a c8 convertible and it works too!! Plug is in the frunk lol. Plug 🔌 made for IT.

Just replaced my battery. I hadn't driven it this winter. Watched the video and bought a charger. I only drive it once a week or so. Can I leave the charger on it every day that I am not driving it.
Yes you can leave it for eternity. It turns off and on as it’s needed so there’s no overcharge no worries. I no longer have my C7 Corvette so I use it on my new C8 Corvette and I only drive my car less than once a week lol

How long to fully charge a vette that's been sitting for 24 days?
About 15 hours. I hardly drove it for the 3 years I owned it. In 3 years I had only 2k miles. Just replaced battery about 6 months ago. I had been driving it the last full year as a daily driver. NOW I JUST BOUGHT A CHEROKEE TRAILHAWK and it is going back on the corvette 🔌 charger lol
Can you shut the rear hatch tight when charging
You certainly CAN!!! it’s the best $125 spent if you don’t daily drive your vette.

I just got my car light on the charger and its red is that right u said it should be green
The corvette charger the car icon when plugged in the rear hatch area should light up GREEN. The charger light will indicate amber as CHARGING. Green light next to it will light up GREEN when full charge.

That's what I love about Corvettes. You can always find one only a few years old with low miles for 15-20k below MSRP.
Too busy working, they don’t tell you that after you work to get the things you’ve always wanted... you then have to work to keep them. Easy to get harder to keep. I’ve had my 2019 grand sport for over a year and only had time to put 2,300 miles on it.
Ain’t that the TRUTH lol. My C7 is almost one & a half years old and has only 1,200 miles. My daily driver was a Camaro ss which I traded in for a 20 Supra GR. Supra is now the daily driver, I like the bmw Supra, now I know why ppl like German cars 😂 lol. Bought a new house 1 mile from work SO DEFINITELY WONT BE DRIVING HARDLY ANY MILES NOW 😐

Mike you got yourself a CTEK charger. It would probably be cheaper online.
I know!!! I saw the CTEK online and the corvette one too!!! But the dealership was easy and it was not much more. Maybe $25 dollars I Over paid lol.
