I tried just doing mine and was like I bet they are supposed to meet the turbo better than I’m getting them. Glad I checked 😂

Those bulletproof diesel oil cooler lines are a pain in the ass for getting turbo out

Great video! Helped me fix a leak at the band on the up pipes.
    Thank you.

Great video! I’m curious how the y - pipe is holding up, because it seems like a newer product. Also, what you would do with the egr on a stock y pipe removal, assuming you replace with a LLD Y pipe. Thanks for your time, these videos are so informative.

Can’t run a egr with this setup.

Yes, so my question is what do you do with the egr in this setup? Do you have to cap it? Thanks

@@user-fs8hg3kh8n you can’t run a egr with the LLD up pipes. That’s all I can say. On UA-cam.

I don't have the heat shield for the up pipes on my Excursion, traps heat as much as it Shields heat

Most are missing by now anyway except for the few all originals that roll in on occasion.

@AutomedicGarage yeah I noticed that lol when I changed the up-pipe I noticed mine wasn't there. I messaged the shop who did the "bulletproofing" and they told me they remove them every time as it traps heat, makes sense. All I know is it made my up-pipe install pretty smooth last week

Unfortunately mine lasted 10 months before it blew a hole in one of the bellows, stock engine

All that I have installed are working great with no returns. If you get the bellows in a bind they will fail.

Great, it’s Gary’s truck, I’m the only guy who works on it.

So is this still the best aftermarket up pipe unit for the 6.0?

I think it is. I’ve installed several of them and it makes sense.

Do you all know the shipment time for LLD's one piece up pipe or a way to contact LLD to expedite shipping? Also, I have a couple video clips of a questionable sound on the floor of the cab between the driver's seat and passenger seat of what I believe to be an exhaust leak. I was hoping if anyone out there with a 2005+ 6.0 that may have had this same issue or close to it could help identify this sound to be indeed an exhaust leak before I spend nearly $400 on LLD's up pipes.

I have a up pipe replacement video that shows the before sound. Best way to describe it is a squealing screaming sound under acceleration.

Yep, I've watched them, and great videos! You all did a great job breaking down the procedures of what to do and not to do while installing up pipes. My rig is notorious for making the work involved with most repairs and upgrades complicated or just downright confusing. I believe I have that unwanted high-pitched exhaust leak sound but much more than that without the black soot build-up in the general area of the up pipes and down pipe. As of today, is Gary happy with the one-piece up pipe and what is your opinion in regards to LLD's one-piece up pipe? Unfortunately, in my area, there's not much in diesel techs or diesel repair shops. Their all nearly an hour and a half away. At this point, for a few different reasons, I'm done with my local diesel repair shops. From here on out, I'll be back to doing all work on my rig myself once again. I appreciate the help and if allowed, would there be a better way for us to communicate? Also, I would like to send the clips of the sounds I speak of if your good with it.
