A Fujifilm walkabout, love it dude. I think it’s safe to say there’s a third option in between the film and digital experience - the Fujifilm experience.
As an 100T owner, I've often wondered if something happened to mine, would I replace it with a later version, but I don't think I would. It's got all the essentials I care about, yet keeps certain "antiquated" features I prefer. I would rather not have a touch screen like the later models (I want my camera to feel as much like a camera and as little like a phone as possible) and the 16mp files are the perfect size. Fuji files are already enormous and slow to work with on my computer in post production, so the larger files are not necessarily better for me. The X100T really is the sweet spot.
Sold my X100T when I lost motivation in photography 6 years ago. Now I'm picking one up again. Could've went with later and greater models this time around, but looking back, this camera was more about the experience than the tech or image quality.
Although I only have the original x100, personally I would prefer the touch screen and the way it folds out. As a tall person waist level shooting is preferred for a couple of reasons: angle of view is more to my liking, and it is more stealthy. There is NO way I can raise a camera to my eye without drawing even more attention to myself. It is odd how people pop off all kinds of smart phone images and nobody cares, bring a camera and you are noticed. Even several years ago in a tourist area I was in, anyone with a camera stood out, smart phones one and all, just blended in.
I also bought a X100T recently. For pictures of my family. And after a few days playing around with it, I’m absolutely in love with this camera. The pictures just look amazing and the handling is a dream. Never had this much satisfaction with a camera before. And I had a lot...
I haven't been able to get the X100V out of my head due to seeing it everywhere online, but for someone who is new to Fujifilm camera's and the cost as well of the X100V...maybe the X100T is the perfect option for me. Thanks for your help!
I had the original x100 for about 4-5 years as my very first serious camera and sold it in 2020. I regretted it so much, it made some of my very best images. I have an xt3 now and today i am picking up an x100t from offerup to partner with it. Cannot wait to hold one of these beauties again 🥰
I have several friends with X100T's that they love. I love my X100F, which was also pricey when I got it. Definitely agree that the X100T is solid for what the majority would need! Fantastic camera for the price
I am still rocking the original x100 since the day it came out. There is no other camera that was this long by my side, the look, the feel and as you say all the things that are bad about it make the experience with that little beast

I´ve had an X100T for about three years and I have been thinking if it would be convenient to change it for the new X100V. Now, thanks to Patrick, I´ll stay as I am! Thanks for the advice.
yes! digital cameras are becoming just as interesting as old film cameras. the retro tech provides some really interesting looks and shooting experiences.
I just got the x100s yesterday in the mail, such a great camera even with an outdated system it’s still fast for my needs. I love the triangle exposure rule with the camera, giving me a more old film camera style which forces me to practice manual more and more now.
I’d love to find an x100f for $600 right now. It’s bad enough that the 100v is out of stock everywhere and price gouged on eBay. But all of the other x100 models are also way overpriced right now. A used x100f on adorama costs as much as a brand new x100v retails for 😡🤯
Oh boy, I just bought this camera because of this video. I never ever had so much fun with a camera. And the image quality is insane. Thank you so much 🤘🏼
I have my late dad's OG X100 in black paint, apparently it's a limited edition. He took tens of thousands of mostly family photos with it, at a time before smartphones reigned supreme. I shoot it in monochrome-R with a 20% cinebloom using only the OVF. Like my dad in life, it’s stubborn but reliable, charming -- but often fussy. The sum is greater than its parts. Legendary camera that started it all. Don't get me wrong, I love my X100V and my 100S for modern creature comforts and explosively high resolution, but the OG X100 is part of why those later cameras even exist.
Brother Patrick, I’m seriously considering the Fuji X100 line... The XT1 & 2 also appeal to me. I have older Canon & Pentax DSLR’s but a friend brought me his X100s to try out...takes me back to my old Pentax ME Super film rig ( I still have it in pristine condition). You’ve given me more to consider. And, thanks for the street session at the end. That session helped me realize that I can literally be anywhere and find photos. The market is so over-priced right now, but I will check on the X100T...May find a gem some where. Be well.
Love the honesty about the laziness man! The X100T is a great camera. I really enjoy using mine. The reason I purchased it was basically because of wifi transfer and classic chrome. Paid a little over $500 for mine but it was in mint condition, and had 2 extra Fujifilm batteries.
I love my V. It really is the best camera I ever used. And oddly enough, I like my X-T2 slightly better than the X-T3 I had due to small ergo differences.
Eric Jennings my gripe with the V which i didn’t even mention in this video because it’s totally a personal thing but the V is basically a fixed lens XT3/4 - it loses all the charm IMO that the older models offer. i also just don’t jam with that new little joystick thing. when the V is $500 like a T i will grab it. hahah.
why do you like Xt2 more than t3? just curious! i own the xt2 for 4 years now and i regret that i didnt' wait for 1 month until xt3 came out and bought that camera instead
Hi just wondering, when u say youve picked up the x100 t for $500 is that 500usd or 500 canadian..im from australia and im loooking to purchase one of these secondhand. The sellers price $900 aus..that’s pretty decent right?

Really great video, your enthusiasm for the Fuji cameras is palpable. And the images you get are really stunning. I think I might get myself one of those x100T’s, (in black, ofc ! So Cool !!!). (I once had a 100v, but never really enjoyed it, it was never as tactile as I wanted or expected. ‘Suspect I fell into the ‘latest is greatest’ trap …).
Do you think an old x100t could serve as a carry around, beater camera? As in, without a lens hood, etc? I sold all my Sony camera gear but am considering having a minimalist sort of beater camera for when image quality is paramount.
as someone who have the X100T and daily driving it for the past 5 years. I would like thank you for this video. I still love my X100T so much but it does needs a bit of an upgrade for lower light conditions. that being said. i still think the X100V's prices these days are waaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced and who knows when the prices will drop down to an acceptable level.

I’ve been using a used Fuji X100S with the teleconverter lens adaptor since 2018 on all my portrait client work (mainly musicians) and everyone loves the results! The X trans II sensor is absolutely the best. Thinking about upgrading to the X100T recently. Thanks for the great vid!
Really like the on-the-street session. I’m learning to do street photography...wish I had a mentor actually with me on the street taking photos. My eye for shots is getting better-often surprising me. I want to try a range-finder like the X-100S or X-100T. Stay safe.
I’ve watched this 4x in the last two weeks. Can’t decide between the x100t and x100f actually. And even harder silver or black!! Awwww! (As a secondary carry to my xt4). Fuji fam!
I own an XH1 and the X100T, and the X100T is just so much fun to shoot with. I just love the feel of it and the images are great. Yes, autofocus is not the fastest in the world, but I shoot a lot of images of children in my family and it is enough.
I have a x100s and I love it so much that I’ll end up probably getting a T or V later this year. It just feels like a better more organic human experience shooting with these cameras. Hard to explain to people without just letting them ‘feel it’ but this is a great video. Subscribed and looking forward to following your channel. What’s the font you use btw? Love it.
This made wanna go out so badly with my x100v and take photos. Which is what I'm gonna do right about now. Thanks for this video and have a great day/night!
Great video. I just bought an X-T10 for 150 euros. The thumb grip fell off within an hour, but I'm happy with the vibe of having a camera I can just bring along without worrying too much about it being stolen, about scratching it up, about the rain, etc. With my 100V and X-T30 I'm basically an overprotective dad. With the X-T10 I'm a neglectful parent :-)
By the way, extra kudos for the music and for mentioning the artist. I really enjoyed your photography too. Normally I'm not into street but taking us along in the process made me appreciate the shots a lot more than I usually do.
@@impatrickt Where are you basing your price comparisons? The x100T has been selling for around $900-1050CAD for many many years and continues to hold its value. I assume you're talking in US dollars despite also being in Toronto. $575US ($775CAD) is an absolutely awesome deal in late 2024 for an x100T in 10/10 condition.
I have owned the x100T (still have it actually) the Xt2 and XH1 I just sold the Xt2 and x100T (just sold!) and picked up a X100v and dude it blows the all the other x100's away hands down
I also believe it’s a perfect camera in 2020. For anyone who wants to get into digital photo to those already serious about photography. Which are these star filters you use?
Great content mate, thinking of getting this camera! Even the colours on the ozmos action look great! How did you colour grade the footage? looks like a film simulation!
the photowalk with an osmo action is a pretty good experience, love the colors of the fuji! great vid patrick! oh and this video is on a different aspect ratio. 😅👍🏻
Thanks Patrick, hopefully in a few weeks when our lockdown is over we’ll be able to get out and start taking some pics again on my lovely 100F, and XE-3.
I paid $650 for a mint condition x100T for my girlfriend. And I have to say that I am beyond impressed with the image quality. You're so right about that film camera feel, it really does give that vibe.
Will the screen flip out on the x100t? So is this camera and the xt3 your main two cameras? How can see how one would get a lot of "milage" with that combination.
been using my x100t for 5 years through rains clouds and dirts but it still works fine. good camera I love it. but wonder when it would be broken and I can change to x100 series' new product lol
Hey love your review, I have an X100 that I love and use all the time, what accessories did you put on yours? I saw those dangly things and the shutter button upgrade. thanks!
I loved my X100, I sold it for my X100T. You’ve exaggerated the slowness and how ‘bad’ the X100 is. I carried a small cable to quickly upload pics from my SD card straight to my phone and the Auto Focus wasn’t quite as bad as you’ve stated. Still a great camera, especially at the price point you mentioned.
I'm sure it's subjective but if you compare it any modern camera of the last 5 years... the X100 is very very slow. Any of my shooter friends I show it too basically laugh that I can even use it. I try to set a low expectation now because of the majority of people's lack of patience!
this got recommended to me a few days after i got my x100t stolen (probably because someone mistook it for a v). Still hurts, nicest digital camera i have used so far
May I ask...does the X100T address the slow shutter lag of the original X100? I've missed some action shots with the X100, so anxious to get a faster camera.
@@impatrickt Thank you! My apologies...i goofed in the question. I corrected my spelling in the question. I missed some action shots with the X100...the older one. :) ...and thank you for your reply!
they won't be - if you shoot raw there's no photo sim. you have to use an editor that supports fuji's film sims but they will never be as close as shooting them baked in jpeg on the camera.
Hello Patrick, I’m about to buy a 500€ xc100t with 27600 shots, do you know if that is to much use? I don’t now how many shots life does this camera have… Does any one can help me? Thanks I’m advance, very good video bro
What a neat video, love the inspiring street pics at the end! I had been thinking it will take forever to get an X100V to add to my mighty mini X70, now I'm thinking why not a used X100T? Many thanks!
Damn I think you just talked me into buying a 100t :D I was looking for a new compact camera and stumbled upon the 100v in a video. But for me personally these really new cameras always have kind of a weird artificial touch to them. I'm not sure if it's a question of the settings, but the pictures you took in the video looked way more natural/clear than the ones I saw from a 100v. So this might be just the perfect mix between a modern digital camera and the feeling/advantage of an old analog one. Also great video in general, nice and short but really informative and some good way to show the camera at work. So thanks a lot!
I had the original Fuji X100. Make sure you use a high speed SD card and it works well. Also make sure you update to the latest firmware. It’s an improvement. I also upgraded to Fuji X100T. And I have just kept it and I’m still loving it all these years. I didn’t upgrade. I may never will. Happy with it.
I had this camera along with a 5D Mark III and L lenses, the best portraits of my son I took them with the X100T , amazing camera , any X100 camera is great, I’m just saving some money to get the new X100V
Patrick, it seems to have a "problem" with the video. When you show the examples of photo taken with the camera, it seems than the color (classic chrome) of the photos have changed because you applied the lut of the video asweel to the parts when you show the pictures. It's that acurate?
i love old cameras.
The price is almost $1000 now…why did it go up? It can’t be because of supply chain since they don’t make these anymore. Crazy
A Fujifilm walkabout, love it dude. I think it’s safe to say there’s a third option in between the film and digital experience - the Fujifilm experience.

As an 100T owner, I've often wondered if something happened to mine, would I replace it with a later version, but I don't think I would. This made wanna go out so badly with my x100v and take photos. Which is what I'm gonna do right about now. Thanks for this video and have a great day/night!
happy shooting!!
i got the x100T. I will not be buying any new x100 series cameras until it has an IBIS like the ricoh gr III
Cyber Cowboy smart move! yeah IBIS could be fun. i gotta check out the RICOH cameras too.
Normally I'm not into street but taking us along in the process made me appreciate the shots a lot more than I usually do.
thanks for the kind words! Enjoy that new camera :)
@@impatrickt You too man. Enjoy shooting :-)
Just picked up the 100s. Cant wait to go shoot
Hello how did you do the white background thingy on everyphotos you’ve taken is that an option settings? Thanks
you gotta do it in post
Insane how as soon as videos like this drop the camera’s price exponentially goes up.
i know. i’m sorry.
Patrick Tomasso don’t be. Natural response to a great review🤝
What do you think same budget canon and sony cameras ??
I just pick mine up for $575 with 3800 Shutter Count and 10/10 condition in Silver. Is that a good price?
It’s a little high but they’ve all gotten more expensive.
I have owned the x100T (still have it actually) the Xt2 and XH1 I just sold the Xt2 and x100T (just sold!) and picked up a X100v and dude it blows the all the other x100's away hands down
i’ve used it. fuji also just gave me an XT4. i’m just not a fan but glad you like it!
Live that photo walk, perfect video to the morning coffee. Inspiration hits hard 😎
get out and shoot!
Great vid man!!
Cherish Potluri thanks!
I also believe it’s a perfect camera in 2020. For anyone who wants to get into digital photo to those already serious about photography. Which are these star filters you use?
Great video 👍.. x100t was my first fuji..love how the x100 cameras operate 🔥
the X100T is my first camera ever. I love it to this very day
its great!
Great content mate, thinking of getting this camera! Even the colours on the ozmos action look great! How did you colour grade the footage? looks like a film simulation!
It’s just the built Fuji sims!
the photowalk with an osmo action is a pretty good experience, love the colors of the fuji! great vid patrick! oh and this video is on a different aspect ratio. 😅👍🏻
I needed the width for the photo samples - they were looking weird in 16:9
Thanks Patrick, hopefully in a few weeks when our lockdown is over we’ll be able to get out and start taking some pics again on my lovely 100F, and XE-3.
Hey wonderful video! Could you share the camera setting for the pictures that you showed? :)
i dont recall havent used this camera in years
I paid $650 for a mint condition x100T for my girlfriend.
And I have to say that I am beyond impressed with the image quality.
You're so right about that film camera feel, it really does give that vibe.
great deal!
That was fun and insightful Patrick. Liked the Osmo piggybacking on the Fuji- nice touch. Mystery Fuji....I look forward to that one.
Thanks for watching!
Will the screen flip out on the x100t?
So is this camera and the xt3 your main two cameras? How can see how one would get a lot of "milage" with that combination.
Allen Schneider no flip. I have a lot of cameras haha. hard to say which is the main I probably use my GH5’s and an X30 the most though.
been using my x100t for 5 years through rains clouds and dirts but it still works fine. good camera I love it. but wonder when it would be broken and I can change to x100 series' new product lol
Hey love your review, I have an X100 that I love and use all the time, what accessories did you put on yours? I saw those dangly things and the shutter button upgrade. thanks!
i don’t recall i don’t use it anymore
You should try the sigma dp2 Merrill. I could eat, digest and push out a burger in the time it takes to view a photo after taking it.
best video on fuji by far!
Great video! For someone starting out in photography , would you still recommend the X100T now in 2021 over say the X100F or X100V?
its all the same shit
this got recommended to me a few days after i got my x100t stolen (probably because someone mistook it for a v). Still hurts, nicest digital camera i have used so far
May I ask...does the X100T address the slow shutter lag of the original X100? I've missed some action shots with the X100, so anxious to get a faster camera.
I’m confused by your comment. Are you using the original or the T?
@@impatrickt Thank you! My apologies...i goofed in the question. I corrected my spelling in the question. I missed some action shots with the X100...the older one. :) ...and thank you for your reply!
What kind of filter do you use on the original x100?
Great video as always. Also, JMR for the win on music. 🤙🏻
such a fire track
Patrick Tomasso couldn’t agree more. He’s a fantastic artist.
great vid! very helpful for my buying decision making!
Simulation movies like ACROS are not applied when I open the photos on my computer. The files are in .RAF. How to solve this problem ?
they won't be - if you shoot raw there's no photo sim. you have to use an editor that supports fuji's film sims but they will never be as close as shooting them baked in jpeg on the camera.
Is that the Colonial Arcade in Cleveland?.
What film simulation did you use while shooting those amazing photographs?
I've heard the colors on the x100t are pretty amazing. Heard a rumour the colors are amazing from the T
Hello Patrick, I’m about to buy a 500€ xc100t with 27600 shots, do you know if that is to much use? I don’t now how many shots life does this camera have…
Does any one can help me? Thanks I’m advance, very good video bro
I really don’t know. Sorry
What a neat video, love the inspiring street pics at the end! I had been thinking it will take forever to get an X100V to add to my mighty mini X70, now I'm thinking why not a used X100T? Many thanks!
I am planning to get a X70
Damn I think you just talked me into buying a 100t :D I was looking for a new compact camera and stumbled upon the 100v in a video. But for me personally these really new cameras always have kind of a weird artificial touch to them. I'm not sure if it's a question of the settings, but the pictures you took in the video looked way more natural/clear than the ones I saw from a 100v. So this might be just the perfect mix between a modern digital camera and the feeling/advantage of an old analog one. Also great video in general, nice and short but really informative and some good way to show the camera at work. So thanks a lot!
yeah not many people get it but I swear the new X-Trans sensor doesn't have the same vibe as the older ones. plus you save a bunch of money!
Got mine for $300. A beauty!
I like that it’s slow. I know people that format cards to only hold 36 shots. Just like a roll of film.
It's that acurate?
no thats classic chrome - I actual tried to grade the osmo action to match the images.
