Just fixed my C130, similar to this one. Thank you!!! Saved me getting a new washer.

I'm glad to hear that. Did you follow the instructions in the tutorial, which is on my channel in one of the lists dedicated to the Nilfisk C130.1 ( =Wap by Nilfisk EU 1350, Stihl RE...)? Repairing the Nilfisk C 130.1 and similar machines is a bit more difficult than, for example, the Nilfisk E 140.3, as more things need to be disassembled, but with my tutorials most people should be able to handle it.

@ I had seen your other tutorial but couldn’t find it so followed this one and worked out how to do it on my one.

You are very welcome. If this video helps to save people who will follow my instructions up to 100 Euro or more (estimated price of the spare parts & labour), I am happy. I believe that anybody is able to service (with the help of this tutorial), their very good and easy to service Nilfisk power washer. Good luck. S.

Great video many thanks! My Nilfisk C110.4 does not always automatically stop when I release the trigger. Would that indicate a faulty microswitch? Or something else? Many thanks!

You are very welcome. Looks like faulty Start- Stop Valve or Microswitch. I can only guess as I haven't experienced this type of problem. Good luck. S.

@AdviceFromGarage I have had the microswitch apart and tested it for continuity...which was fine...so I'm thinking the start stop valve. Many thanks for a really useful video!

@OlyLowe Thank you. I'm glad to hear that my videos helped you. I'm also glad that you managed to rule out the microswitch as one of the possible faulty components. I also thought (guessed) that it would be the Start-Stop valve, since the microswitch fails very rarely on high-pressure cleaners, while a failure of the Start-Stop valve (whether it's a worn O-ring or spring) is a relatively common fault. Good luck. Slavo

My E145 is pulsing when idle but there are no water leaks. Would the fault be this valve?

Hello, in my opinion, it is highly probable, although there is still a chance that a broken Non-Return Valve spring can also do it. Alternatively, other causes are also possible (even a damaged cable or microswitch), of course, if there is no water leak anywhere. If there is a water leak, then other causes are also possible. And since when repairing (replacing only the O-ring) or replacing the Start-Stop Valve, it is necessary to remove the aforementioned spring and it is an easy repair, I would start with that. If you follow the instructions in the video, you will definitely be able to do it yourself. Greetings from Slovakia. Slavo.

Hi from Germany. I 6:40 have a Nilfisk 150.2 that breaks the inlet part where the water hose is attached within seconds after activating the pump by pressing the pistol button. There seems to go high pressure in the wrong direction backwords. What would you suspect to be the problem? KR

Hi, I have no personal experience with this so I can only guess. First I would make sure I don't have a blocked nozzle, gun or high pressure hose anywhere. So you have to check if the water passes freely through the system and the nozzle at the end. If the nozzle is blocked, the machine will create pressure when the gun is pressed, but the water pressure cannot release the machine where it should and this can cause similar damage. But that is only one of the reasons. Try starting with this. Then maybe the misplaced O-ring (roughly 11.8mm x 2mm) mentioned in the video that is inside the Start-Stop valve can do it. Please make sure that you put it inside the white front part exactly where there is a place for it (groove). I describe it exactly in the video, where it should be and where you must not place it. People often put it on the back and the machine doesn't work properly and it gets damaged. Hope this helps. Greetings from Slovakia. S. N.

I have problem with start stop valve. I replaced old valve with new and when I turn on water, it leaks through hole on black part of start stop valve where microswitch connects. What is problem?

I can only think of the following things you could have done wrong. Usually, people damage the new rubber O-ring on the new Start-Stop Valve, which then leaks water and pressure by misfitting the new O-ring, which is shown in detail in the video at 3:43 with how to place it there correctly and then of course also before the end of the video when I immediately install it there. If you place it incorrectly (inappropriately), you can damage it, which can result in the water leakage you mentioned. I do not suppose that you would be unlucky enough to receive (or buy) an incomplete or damaged Start-Stop Valve. I would suggest you dismantle the entire Start-Stop valve again, watch the entire video in detail, and proceed accordingly. In that case, it must work for you. If you have already accidentally damaged the rubber O-ring that I mentioned in the video, try to buy a new cheap O-ring of size 12 mm x 2 mm made of Polyurethane (abbreviation PU) or Nitrile (NBR), but it must be of hardness "90 SH ", which are cheap and try it out with them. They are not original O-rings, and they are probably not exactly the same size as the original ones, but I have had one high-pressure cleaner for quite a long time and it works well with this type of O-ring. The original O-rings in the Start-Stop Valve will probably be "FKM" type rubber, but I don't know for 100%, as Nilfisk uses different types of rubber for the O-rings in different types of high-pressure cleaners and in different places. But I assume that they are all 90 SH hardness, as this type of rubber hardness is necessary if the high-pressure cleaner works with a pressure greater than 100 bar. In this case, classic cheap O-rings of the NBR 70 SH type made of Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) are not sufficient. I hope this helps you at least a little. Greetings from Slovakia :).

After watching our video tutorial, I would strongly encourage you to read the manual provided by Nilfisk and an authorized Nilfisk dealer Northwestpowerwashers UK for their customers and the general public before you start fixing your machine. There is only one thing I suspect is not mentioned correctly - the amount of oil needed to be filled into the oil chamber when changing the oil. I think you have to pour in more oil - I think 60 ml is not enough but not sure (I have seen a couple of opened oil chambers and they were nearly full with old oil to be replaced - more than 60 ml for sure. For the proper amount of oil please consult with your Nilfisk service center. drive.google.com/file/d/1HGoOA_gbvHEl7bYwpUWZskkTHbGJZWoj/view?usp=share_link
