just curious , what country is this car in, the Sierries 62 was not the nicer model, that was the DeVille. A friend of mine has a picture of himself as a kid sitting in the back of Moms cream colored 1949 Cadillac Convertible. The Hydraulic Power windows was not the best thing, I think by 52 they had the they had electric motors working them.
The hydraulic power windows and power seats were a nightmare to repair, and oil leakage was a huge problem...but...for 1949 they were considered an amazing luxury and indeed they were...as you say when the modern power accessories came in during the 50s it made things much easier...
@@daniellack3559 yes my late auntie told me about her new 50 Lincoln Cosmopolitan with these hydrolic power windows, I doubt you know California, but one winter night driving from Bakersfield to her high desert town she was living in be and you have to go over a range of mountains, nothing like our Sierra's , but Mountains she was driving home and had her window slightly down for air and put it up and all 4 windows went down and would not go back up, she said she almost froze and said, never liked that car after that LoL, I think by 52 or 53 it was gone
