That is a fantastic restoration for only 8 months! It usually takes years to get a car like this to this level. Love these early fifties Cadillacs!
This is an example of when cars were cars and Cadillac really meant something.
Nice job restoring that classic. It is a work of Art. It's awesome.
Tony Hiller - You are one really lucky guy! That auto is too beautiful for words!
Man, beautiful job re-building that ride. Gorgeous.
What a beautiful piece of art.
Wow!
What a car!
Really like it, and it is also my dream car.
One dislike? What is there to dislike about that beautiful car? Great job putting it together right..
you sir are a lucky man!! the early 50s Cadillacs are to me the most beautiful cars to ever come out of Detroit! back then it was statis part of the American dream! but after the years they got a bad rep but they are making a come-back & hopefuly people will give up their acuras, hundis, lexas', etc & switch back to real luxury & that is Cadillac! thanks for sharing
I have a very nic 1953 Cadillac series 62 sedan, but it doesn't compare with this beauty. What a car!
beautiful car!! my dad had one just like it in the 50s...
I love the '53 Caddy.
Amazing !!!!!!!!!
I forgot to mention you did a great job restoring her to her full glory!! she is gorgeus!! but thats CADILLAC right?
I had a 53 cadillac when I was 16 about 50 years ago , seemed pretty fast at the time
That is gorgeous.
Beautiful.
l love stories like this!
beautiful car...
There's a world of difference. The 2 cars shared very few panels (although they do look similar) and the Eldo's had tons of options as standard. Not many were made and they're very valuable. Also it was made to mark 50 years of GM. The biggest difference in the body is the height of the doors (lower on an eldo').
Great video!
Beutiful car!
Cool Car!!
amazing
Nejluxusnejsi, nejelegantnejsi, a nejkrasnejsi auto na svete. Absolutne bez konkurence! KRALOVNA SILNIC !!!
Talk about swag.
The 53 Elderado was the first car with a rap around windshield
Good Job Tony. I use this in my class at Martin University, but it has been cut short. Check it out. Where can I find the full video?
DAmn, what happened to designs like this? Y did the US auto makers start making shit like novas and vegas and pacers?
This car is the height of beauty.
Greetings from Iran
King
As the man says....I to saw President Eisnhower campaigning in Oct. 1952 outside my house in Brooklyn's Sheepshead Bay, They were purely beautiful cars... I wonder if the car I saw was a 1952 or maybe it was a 1953//
Awesome would be this car body with 100% modern everything else
You can tell the difference between the Eldorado and the series 62. The Eldorado had the wrap around windshield while the series 62 didn't. Very nice car tho.
That's the model of Caddy Hank Williams died in. A '53 Series 62 convertible.
that is a car not the crap they sel today. bring back the muscle car
Bonito caddilac 1956 conversivel
I want that car dammit!
Cool car. But the bodywork at the top of the doors on the Eldorado is very different to a series 62 (which this is).
The Caddy is a beauty...! BUT, in '53 the Buick 'Skylark' debut was sensational!
The 'first year' 'Skylark' is still considered to be one of 'prettiest cars' ever made, and generally is considered 'best in show' of the decade of the 1950's.
(oddly enough...the fully-optioned 'Skylark' was nearly TWICE as much as a Cadillac! Buick basically priced itself out of the luxury auto market with a 'sticker' over five-thousand dollars on the 'Skylark'...you could buy a two-bedroom house for that kind of money in 1953!)
je viens de faire importé en France une 62 de 1955. C'est La Grande Classe américaine!!
Lots of reasons for having an old car...one big reason is EGO. Having something that no one else has...boosts your EGO. We all collect "things" because looking in a mirror just doesn't do it for us sometimes.
You aint a lackin, if you are a cadillicin............
Thats IceBerg Slim Hog LoL! Pimping Ain,t Dead LoL!
Is that Bobby Brown?
532 units made in Warren, Michigan.
A lot of money back then and way more money NOW...try $400,000!
This car is about the same as an Eldorado? Sure, except for the $150,000 difference in value. Facts can be stubborn things, can't they?
Nor exactly the same-'53 Eldorado had a "wraparound windshield and a different belt line, and probably a different engine.
@dykbojen123 and I would kill for that car :D
You can't tell the difference between an Eldorado and Series 62 from ten feet away? You have a great looking car here, but you can tell the difference from an Eldorado and Series 62 from a 100 yards away.
Didn't like the guy till he said, 3 things per day.
