I’m fascinated, for some reason, about whether David likes Jimmy, so I always watch clips like this one with that in mind. In his autobiography, he writes about a hypothetical guy, who despite being very average, nevertheless always seems to turn up hosting another quiz show. Then he asks the reader if they are imagining him, and wonders if they are imagining the same person. He morphs the moment from purely hypothetical to real. I always wondered if it was Jimmy he was alluding to. I think Jimmy is brilliant and excellent at hosting, but does David secretly dislike him?
I wonder who else it could be. Jimmy does seem to have a lot of hosting gigs compared to other comics. I used to find Jimmy brilliant but I’m getting tired of his strange addiction to de-aging himself and his recent interview with Joe rogan felt very affected.

Jimmy is far from average - he has excellent timing, wit and work ethic.
