Because we're hearing the story for the first time, they've gone over this multiple times, you're seeing different cuts etc. Production takes a long time.
@ahmedalmahdie more pragmatic than cynicism. They cut a lot. Have you not seen the episodes where they show previously unseen bits and outtakes, aka cut material.
@@malenotyalc well, of course they cut parts out! That is not even in the same vacinity as scripted though. Scripted is like everyone knows 30-100% what they are going to say beforehand. Lee always says that he loves the show cause they go in, have a laugh and leave! Nothing scripted.
The detail that I'm surprised neither David nor Richard centered in on, that would've steered them toward the correct answer, is that WHY include the detail of the bugle if it wasn't true. Irony is that's exactly the kind of thing that David has nailed before in this round. I mean this isn't Bob Mortimer, who throws in crazy details even to his lies (since in fact the large majority of his wildest stories on this show have been truths) because he revels in the fun of making it more difficult for himself.
You're right - Bob always throws in bizarre details that have absolutely nothing to do with the story, to make it sound true. Like when he was telling the (false) story about Chris Rea and the bathtub, he threw in "and later he sent me a golden doily". I think he's been _deliberately_ driving David mad.
I feel like I'm missing something important here as an American. Just from context, it sounds like Roger provides supplies for parties and festivals. But it sounds like Les says Roger provides "coconut chais?" I imagine it must be some kind of game, and he doesn't have a cafe next to his bouncy castle where he provides masala tea?

I am always amazed how some of the guests for this segment can keep a straight face throughout.

Okay.
@@Abboman111very cynical of you! It is actually a very unscripted show.

It was instantly obvious as soon as Roger spoke that he was Les’ bouncy castle buddy 😂
because he said - I am Les' buddy
Les' impression was spot-on
Loved how Rob stood up for Lee at 1:14
It’s Envelope Bum! 😂😂❤
I would have to confirm that.. on an official capacity of course
Lee is really one of a kind. Always makes me laugh 😂😂
Alice sold that lie beautifully 👌
True, but as far as lies on this show go, this one was fairly easy.
“He got his bugle out” 😂😂❄️🌨
"It's an open prison"
The entire USA and all of Asia is an open prison XD.
Les actually did the voice pretty well
I almost didn't watch this segment as I wasn't excited at the prospect of Les Denis; and yet he really won me over. 👍

This is Roger and he used to be called Steve Martin
"I can do it, but I don't like to"
Wow, this guest looks like Carl from UP in real life.
Everyone likes a little pink
Don't touch it; it's not dry.
4:30 rob gets put back in his place, love it.

'Coconut shy'. It's a carnival game where you throw balls to try to knock off coconuts targets.
Thank you that is quite helpful!@@anthonypierce8919
Superb hahaha
Love Alice
For as quick and witty as Lee is, he is the worst liar on this show.
Except for the royal wedding story…. And the casserole dish story.

His priority is comedy not narrative accuracy
True but the show would not be the same without him!
It's like the opposite of the boy who cried wolf. He lies so terribly that even his truths sound like lies.

Alice is so beautiful
Who names a dog Sheba?
Shiba, like Shiba Inu
Very very very gorgeous.
Yes she is
Is Alice Levine gorgeous or very gorgeous?
Yes.
She likes a bit of pink
Neither. She's rather ordinary/average.
