Dial Vision Review: Adjustable Glasses Are TERRIBLE | Endmyopia | Jake Steiner

  • The Jake Origin Story: I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

    THESE THINGS ARE ABSOLUTE CRAP.
    DO NOT BUY THEM. I just got my pair. They are not even worth 25 cents.
    The maximum vision correction on them is so weak and ineffective they are useless. They are cheaply make plastic junk that fall apart, but mostly, they just do not work to correct any vision problem. They were not designed by any optomotrist.
    The way they are suppose to work, is there are two plastic slides with two lens on them, and when you twist in or out the screw mechanism, it's suppose to move one lens in relation to the other, and increase or decrease... I want to say "whatever". Magnification, probably, because it's not lens corrective power. Anyway, the screw is a poorly made piece of blow molded plastic... it twists and makes snapping noises and does not particularly operate any sliding mechanism at all. by that's beyond the point, because they quickly fall apart, and you don't need the screw anyway. Put the sliding lenses back in the sliding rails for the frame, and sliding them manually, you find out what they are suppose to do, and it's not much at all. Total crap!

    • @choppergirl
      @choppergirl 3 роки тому +1

      @@artiebrewt3170 No, they don't work well at all, you're beter off going to a dollar store and going through the reading glasses on the carrosel and finding a pair that you like and work for you, and spending $1.. rather than buying these at $7 that won't work at all and will fall apart.
      For me, neither solution does a damn thing, because I need a hell of a lot more vision correction than simple reading glasses which are just weak magnifying glasses on your face will do.

      @@kevinwescott3356 Agreed. Mine fell apart even further. I couldn't even use the lenses for anything.
      I ended up taking a lens from an old pair of glasses, and hot gluing it inside a pair of my current glasses to double the strength... as a stop gap measure.

      not being funny but to tell you the truth i do wish i had spent time reading the reviews first as the advert is more than just missleading and its a sad truthfull fact that they are very poor value for money and i have seen better spects in the local shops at a small price of just
      £2.00 BP that dont specialise in reading specs but provide specs in order to cover emergency but still had very good standard and quality and were found to be 50 times better than the rip off you see advertised online, so now you have been worned to keep hold of your hard earned cash

    I bought this product! The glasses came with the lenses scratched so that they could not be used, even if they worked, because they are visibly of poor quality. The adjustments do not work well, and the fact that they are two lenses prevents the vision from adjusting through them ... there is always the sensation of double vision, blurred, regardless of the adjustment that is applied (with a lot of effort and time, since nothing works well on this product). The product in general sucks: very weak plastics, imprecise and precarious adjustments, poor quality plastic lenses that are already useless and absolutely damaged in the packaging ... the only part that seems to have any quality is the packaging itself, which, obviously, it went to waste along with the whole set. Even guidance paper is of the lowest quality possible - even toilet paper is better than that!

  • @desimar3287
    @desimar3287 3 роки тому +2

    Sure, regular glasses are better if you plan on not improving your natural eyesight since your eyes will just continue getting lazier and lazier over time and you don't mind buying more glasses down the line as your eyesight gets worse over the years because of it, but if you want to actually improve your natural eyesight over time, adjustable glasses are much better because you can periodically adjust them to a slightly weaker setting than you need as needed, which is what always should be done to force your eyes to exercise and improve over time eventually to the point where you may not need glasses. That said, I do not doubt there are versions of adjustable glasses that are poor quality, but that is a quality issue, not a concept one.

    • @endmyopia

      Different cause and issue. The flexible lens hardens. Best we know so far is to gradually reduce the power of reading glasses. Use only what you need, less power makes the muscles move the lens more to keep it flexible.

    Their ad shows a side view of the glass - actually 2 glasses that slide over each other until the ideal zoom is reached. How about cleaning those two glasses that make up the one glass for each side? Won't there always be a portion of each glass that will be unreachable in the cleaning, not to mention some of the cleaning solution getting trapped in between where they override and eventually getting fogged up?

    Thank you for your thorough review. I was very tempted to buy such glasses. It is difficult to find a minus correction in shops in my country and because of a childhood accident, my two eyes don't require the same correction.
    I don't say that my issue is irreversible (I could have lost my eyesight on that injured eye), but from time to time, I would need to wear glasses and that "lazy eye" would lose the most.
    In this period, my work revolves around the computer and since then, my eyesight is getting worse. Do you have any idea what could be the best (and most affordable option)? Optical lenses are sooo expensive...

    You may have covered them, but in case you haven`t, what`s your view regarding pinhole glasses for training eyes? Can they contribute to improved eye health or do they harm/fail to address/hinder, the underlying issues that require attention?
    Obviously not generally considered safe for everyday outdoor use, although I`ve used them for walking in non-vehicular areas.
    I`ve modified a 99pence Chinese pair to offer reasonable light to the eyes, which the original design blocks. I`ve also cut up another pair of pinhole lenses and fitted them into posh Slazenger frames, which often gets me a double glance.
    My father was a genius of an epidemiologist, free from the shackles of Big Pharma and used the Bates protocol. He swore by it. I have his original copy of said book in my possession, perhaps I ought to read it again. I`m sure that apart from his office work, that his diet and lifestyle helped maintain his eyesight to a better level than most. Once into his nineties, he had cataracts removed. He was not a user of cannabinoids, although championed the diversity of the hemp plant. I use the best CBD oil I can find in gawd-forsaken Blighty, but not sure if this helps to ward off what Peter Tosh sang about in Bush Doctor?
    Organic marigold petals ordered today, am I barking up the wrong tree....or just barking?
    I believe my problems are compounded by the fact my eyes are different strengths. I also have a toxo scar behind one eye....but that`s the better eye. Which gets me thinking, what `toxins` improve eyesight...bee stings are documented to have restored eyesight.
    The chap who wore upside-down glasses, back in the 1920/30s, training and then having to retrain his brain when reverting back to normal lenses....was his eye health affected by the stunt?

  • @a64738

    I see on other reviews of this product people complain in comments that they did not get the "Dial Vision" but other brand that was of horrible quality and did not work or was broken when they got them. Other say they ordered 1 pair and got what they ordered, next time they got totally different brand that was just unusable trash. It seems it is hit and miss what you get and all complain that if glasses was broken whey they got them or did not work at all they could not get money back (because the sellers do not reply at all). If the quality was not rubbish and the lenses was larger with wider field of vision I would buy to use when I work... As it is now I need different glases for 25cm, 30cm, 35cm, 40cm, 50cm, 70cm, 80cm, (no glases for 120cm) , 150cm, 2m, 3m, 5m, 8,m, 12m and finally a -0,75 for infinite range because I have artificial lenses in my eyes that can not focus at all....

      I agree. Just received my ones today and have spent one hour trying to get them focused without success. Waste of money. Gone to bin!
