Hey guys! The correct answer to problem 33 is 8 (B). After you cross-multiply and divide you get
3(4 + x) = 1(28 + x) and solving that down -->
12 + 3x = 28 + x
2x = 16
x = 8

i dont get the explanation at 16:03 how do you do that equation? cross multiply and divide? i put it in mathaway and i got -1 and i know you cant add -1 red dots.
Yup, cross multiply then divide. You should get 3(4 + x) = 1(28 + x) and solving that down -->
12 + 3x = 28 + x
2x = 16
x = 8

How’d you get that I’m really confused on this problem
@@lemondrop5409what ever you increase the numerator by you also have to increase the denominator by. Since you’re adding 8 to the red count to get twelve, you have to add 8 to the total count to get 36. 12 red / 36 total = 1/3 chance to get a red
