- Probably the most-requested ACT prep video by our viewers, and for good reason. This is an important topic.
Whether you like it or not, a lot of the ACT Math test is about KNOWING the skills that are tested, beforehand. And a lot of those skills consist of simple (or not so simple...) Math/algebra/trigonometry/geometry formulas that you might have learned years ago and forgot! This video aims to give a comprehensive rundown of all of those formulas and how you can easily remember them. Hope this helps!

@@meggousset3975 thank you!
Holy heck. 6 points up???? That’s insane! I’ve only been able to raise my math score alone up by one - how much studying/prep did you do??
my act is tomorrow :')
Same
Goodluck soldier

Same here😌👋🏽
good luck everyone!
Haven’t been to highschool for 7 years. Taking act for the first time. I’m kinda smart but I hate math. Will study this tonight and update with my math score when results come in ! Coming from someone who hasn’t done more than basic math for 7 years+
what did you get
I have my ACT... this is a lifesaver
Nice! Good luck!
Got a 25 last time, going for the title, have them in my calculator
A tip that helped me, if you ever forget the midpoint formula just remember to calculate the average of two points, for example: (6 ,7) & (12,16) I'm only doing the "X" category but you take your X1 which is 6 and your X2 which is 12 and line it up 6,7,8,9,10,11,12 and find the umber in the middle which is 9 and you do the same with the Y category.
My act is tomorrow
My test is the day after tomorrow and i'm just squeezing in some extra knowledge. English and Science are easy for me but I really struggle on the math. I took the practice ACT on the ACT website and I got a 26, I'm fine with that cuz I thought i'd fail it. I hope i at least get a 26 on the real test.
im the opposite, math is easy for me but I struggle in science
@@zeespeaks6696 I struggled with science too, but changing your perspective could help. At least it did for me. Don’t think of it as science, but more so reading. All it is is reading the excerpts and analyzing graphs. The answer can typically be found within the text. It’s “fake science.” Hope you did/do well!
@@exceptionallyblue I did terrible
@@zeespeaks6696 I’m nervously waiting for my scores…
This man is a Beast!!👍
another may for averages is just (amount) / (total amount) = %/100% ... and cross multiply. so if you were trying to find 60% of 38, you'd do (60*38) / 100, to get 22.8
Thanks for the tip!
My act is today
This was a much needed video. Very helpful!
I have my test tmrw and I need a 30+ I got a 28 last time
Great vid, could you also include formulas for conic sections (ex. ellipse, hyperbola)?
Ah, I left that out didn't I! Will keep that in mind...
you would need a 104% to get that average up to a 99. That's a lot of extra credit.
Man really think I’m gonna be able to memorize all of those?
Thank you soooo much for this video
I take my act in a couple hours😫
Thanks so much for this video❤❤❤😍😍 it's really helpful❤
Do trigonometric equations come up in the ACT? if yes do we need to memorize the formulas?
@@theclairvoyant8265 which ones exactly?
Any tips on going from a consistent 28 to a 31 or possibly a 32? I have taken around 5 practice tests in the last week and have scored the same on all of them even after reviewing my mistakes. I tend to get around 2 wrong during the first 30, 5 wrong during 30-50, and about 4-5 wrong during the last 10. Thanks in advance!
Lol he liked your comment and said nothing. Not much you can do except get faster

Hey Rawanne. Let’s make it less complicated. Schedule a free tutoring session. (the5academy.com/) Sometimes all you need is to see the problem solved in a different way.
You got this!!!
