Candy Jiménez it’s hard for me to say it but I will. Selena was murdered by her fan club president by a gun shot 23 years ago on 3/31. I wasn’t born yet but I know the story. It’s tragic 😭. I’ll be 22 in June and I’m thankful that I’m piecing the details out.

Song after song was awesome. This movie made the world outside her fanbase find her music, myself as a kid included.
Me, too. We watched this film in my high school Spanish class and I was shocked I'd never heard of her before (I was seven when she died). I immediately did more research on her when I got home from school that day and fell in love with her music and how bright and loving she seemed to be as a person. If only she were still here. RIP, Selena.
Me too. I was born after Selena passed, so I didn't have the chance to know of her when she was alive. My dad sat me down to show me the movie when I was 4. I remember being mesmerized by the music, her voice, and her style. Now, I admire everything the real Selena was, and am such a huge fan of hers.

I was also borned in 2000. But I was seeing this movie like all the time when I was a few years old cause Selena was on polish tv all the time. Just like all the other movies from Jennifer. but lately I decided to watch this movie once again, this time at 19 years old. And it really hits differently when you are watching it being adult. You really realise how beautiful movie it is. I was crying all the ending scene when she was permorming "Dreaming of you" in the alternative reality and then this white rose falls down to the scene letting her know her time is over. She had all her life in fron of herself. She was so young and so cheerful. She had never an occasion to release her bigfest dreams like raising a family, having a child and happy long life in the side of her husband. It really hurts when person with beautiful sould and heart dies too fast

This and Straight out of Compton are two of my favorite biopics. I think Jennifer Lopez did an excellent job playing Selena. Its crazy, because if I truly didn't know better, I would think Selena is still alive. I love her spirit and her positive energy. I became a fan of hers after this movie. She had so much to live for.

I remember when her music became really really big. I was a Marine stationed in Okinawa, everyone knew her name and the proof that Selena is the best... everyone STILL knows her name. Her voice was too powerful for Earth so she's been in heaven teaching Angels how to sing. Much love and respect.

They need to make a movie out of Chris' book TO SELENA WITH LOVE. The problem with the original SELENA movie is that it focused too much on her father. He controlled everything.

Messylin Actually they did want to center the movie of 'Selena' towards her love life but they couldn't get much support for her husband Chris except a few scraps here and there. During this time Chris wanted to keep his and Selena's private affairs to himself. He was not ready then to share it. As for Chris's book and his wanting to have a tv miniseries from it, well according to Chris the family was okay with the book. But the court Affidavit seem to suggest differently so I don't know. A.B. the brother said that he was okay with the book. Its the father that has a problem with everything. But I blame Chris bc he should've never signed the contract giving his part of Selena's legacy away to the father. It has come back to haunt him. This is why Chris claim to not like dealing with contracts bc he know he screwed up in that area big time. So now all we can do is wait and hope but I fear Abraham has already put a cabosh on it. Oh well, time will tell, it always does.

I just finished watching this movie for the first time. Jennifer Lopez owned the role of Selena. If you haven't seen it do so. I loved the story except for the ending for obvious reasons. I'm not afraid to admit the ending made me cry. RIP Selena

This is the best movie of all times and I'm not saying it just because I am a JLo fan. This movie is actually the reason why I love both Selena and JLo. I watched it more than 30 times, I watch it on 31st March and 16th April every year and I always cry sooo much. I wish Selena was still alive😭💔🌹

Selena is probably one of the most shocking and tragic deaths of all time. It’s so sad that her being trusting and generous enough to take one of her own fans under her wing caused her own premature demise.

Saw this movie a long time ago and loved it! It's such a sad story Selena was extremely talented and beautiful, definitely way too young to have her life taken away from her. I heard this story about her in music class when I was in middle school. From what I've read about her, it sounds like this movie is historically accurate.

I still don’t understand why Yolanda killed her. It’s so complicated. On the one hand she was stealing from the family, so I understand she didn’t want to get caught, but she could have just run away. On the other hand, she apparently either was jealous of her or was obsessed with her…I keep hearing different theories. If that were the case, why would she steal from her? Why not stalk her instead? You don’t set out to ruin someone you’re obsessed with, unless they reject you, right? Selena was nice to her. Not to mention, she was decades older than her, wasn’t she? Maybe she was insecure about her looks declining and aging, but don’t we all wish we could be 20 years old again? You don’t kill someone over it. I just don’t get it.
